Part of the lessons he must have learnt and is carrying forward to Kenya. That's the difference between billionaires and us. They look forward, we look back. londonerr: |

essentialone1:I think chimex38 has explained it the way I understand it. When you said all those shares are going to flood the market begs for a question. The ones allotted since months ago that people have been selling nko? Where were they from? Meanwhile their Q2 report already have those shares as part of their total outstanding shares used to calculate their earnings per shares. I can see that you have 100% dependency on AI. It appears too much reliance on AI usage without giving the right prompts can cause analysis paralysis. Maybe if you tell AI that allotments happened months ago and people have been trading them, AI will change analysis and give you another dimension of the issue. My own is what happened September 30 is a mere ceremony |

Raider76:-What happened to Mafab and their surprise 5G BId that they won? -What happened to Etisalat since peak of early 2010s. Re-branded to 9-mobile, yet nothing? -Even Econet, that changed ownership several times to Vmobile, Celtel, Zain found it difficult to operate before Airtel came on board. Dem dey try sha. -Even Glo isn't competing or expanding anymore just focused on maintaining status quo. They can't can again ![]() - Our unique internet and data specific brethren, Spectranet and co have seen MTN again come into their space again to dominate their long existing market. - when I thought Using Ngx to source capital l, show visibility, enhance transparency to investors and cement brand identity to compete favourably or even ahead of their peers; LEGEND INTERNET is no where to be found in all ramifications I mentioned above. Somehow, Telecom network infrastructure and maintainance is not for the faint hearted in Nigeria. I give MTN kudos despite their extortion and network misbehaviour sometimes. I wish the new entrant a very Good -Luck with abundance of divine Grace in their favour in challenging areas in this country. |

vacanci:Yes.. Correct, It's a mere ceremony to investors in it already. For the much broader market participants, it's much more than a ceremony. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38: 8:24am On Oct 02 |
Raider76:Hmmm...exactly. Even in business and life generally. If one takes time to study all the reasons and loopholes why a business or life direction failed to the last detail. One will be even much happier and confident moving forward with even bigger projects/life purpose than being frustrated and taking a step backward. Unless such reasons are largely beyond ones control. |

chimex38:Is Senegal a country? Where you had perennial head of government |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Oasisblue: 8:38am On Oct 02 |
Rather than coming on the NGX to raise funds and compete, Glo is content to remain a family biz. I dont think they are going to maintain the status quo. I read somewhere that their subscriber base has declined significantly over the years. I think they may go the way of Etisalat and co in the near future. I wish Lebara the best. chimex38: |

londonerr:you have a point on change of Govt. It's a Big deal. But unlike the Cement plant case where Dangote's legal team won in the courts of Senegal. This refinery project is beyond Kenya. Both Rwanda,Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania are both equity shareholders and stakeholders in other areas. You can see the impact of Tanzania Govt reducing our visa entry requirements to their country. It shows the passion they have for it to succeed. Dangote won't even fight much whether change of Kenya Govt or not. Backings are much more. It's a Big deal that becomes small if these other Govt forces join heads. Remember the Refinery was initially proposed to be in Tanzania. Moved to Kenya for business related purposes. Nothing will stop it. The will is there to overcome any obstacle. |

I agree with you on the GLO reluctance to list. One can imagine its fate without Mike Adenuga around. The company is poorly managed. Even if he decides to list now it will do so at a huge discount. Oasisblue: |

I am amazed how Nigerian have so much faith in politicians. Anyone taking over from BAT will not make life easier for the poor. They dont care about anyone but themselves. Streetinvestor2: |

The same Oando that went from N5.50k in 2023 to 90 Naira in late 2024 under this same government? ![]() Streetinvestor2: |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 10:24am On Oct 02 |
PZ ![]() I anticipated a backlash over the scrip option. It is simply a ploy by the majority (PZCH) to dilute minority holders knowing fully that people will opt for cash rather than scrip. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 10:38am On Oct 02 |
Oasisblue:So how is that a credit to the govt.? Oando acquired NAOC upstream assets and that caused the rally from N5 to N90. and the govt was not party to the deal. Oando had been partners to NAOC and they started acquiring some of their assets since 2014 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Oasisblue: 10:44am On Oct 02 |
Simple turenchi. Whether the govt is party to the 2023-2024 rise or not, if such a >1000% meteoric rise could occur under this govt, what is the sense in alluding to the fact that the same govt is somewhat hindering its progress and postulating that replacing it with another govt is what is needed to move the company's shares forward? mikeapollo: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by lawani(m): 10:55am On Oct 02 |
faoogoke:The company has solid assets. It owns all its base stations. It has more assets than most others by far. As it is presently, it is sitting pretty, why should it offer its equity at a discount? |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 11:28am On Oct 02 |
Oasisblue:Simple logic! What caused it to rise from N5 to N90 (NAOC acquisition) is specific and distinct from other factors that might have caused it to fall or stagnate. The person is alluding to the other factors that he believes are making the stock to fall and stagnate. e.g. poor govt economic policies, lack of confidence, macro economic challenges etc. AFTER the initial rise can make the price to fall. Tackle those other factors/allusions independently if you disagree. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by faoogoke(m): 11:34am On Oct 02 |
I said if he decides to come to the market now compared to some year back when it was doing well. They may own their equipment etc but what value are they getting in return with their low subscriber base. Why cant he lease his towers to others or to himself or rather sell like MTN did? This typical black man mentality of wanting to own everything and be in charge is not helping his business. He should sell a stake to a reputable service provider who will assist with running the business better. In my opinion GLO and Adenuga should up their game operations wise. lawani: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by lawani(m): 11:38am On Oct 02 |
faoogoke:Ok I agree he should have sold earlier because now other companies have been licensed and to seize market share for any company isn't difficult as the phone numbers don't belong to the companies. It is just that investors have been slack for years |
