It is funny reading the comments people make. As if the politicians ruling us in Nigeria are not a reflection of us as a people? Even though we will deny it and form holier than though when commenting, but any fair minded person will know that the problem with Nigeria lies firmly with the humans that live in it. Expecting the character of the average politician to be radically different from that of the majority of the citizens is laughable. The average Nigerian has very funny ideas about governance and public administration. Many people are actually fantasist, anarchist or confidently ignorant. There is no messiah that will fix Nigeria. |

megawealth01:What of market cap? Even using all of these you mentioned above, this stock market is currently at its second highest level ever (only behind the 2007/2008 season in some indices) |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeneralDae: 5:03pm On Oct 17 |
megawealth01:You are still gaining in dollars if you bought the NGX as a whole in 2023 (hypothetically). You are also gaining slightly if you bought in 2013. You only lose based on dollar inflation, if you bought in 2007/2008 |

So we should simply accept our sorry, cursed fate? The "average" citizen has never changed any country. Typically, it's actually a few people of some means, education, or influence that capture the imagination of the masses and chart a different path. And they're almost never perfect "messiahs" -- just people who are pissed about the status quo. hopeful95: |

Lol. Tell us: How much did they pay you? Look around you. The French are protesting the cost of living. The Albanians are in the streets. Even the typically pro-market American voters are poised to give the ruling party a shellacking in a couple weeks, if the polls are right. If you think the typical Nigerian is better off than the French, the Albanians, and the Americans, despite our devaluation and high inflation, you probably need to see a professional. Most Nigerians don't own a stockbroking account, talk less of picking all the perfect stocks. It's not just hate. There's real pain in the land. vacanci: |

Agbalowomeri:Lol. For someone like me who knows about ngx.I stopped taking you serious when it comes to ngx business. I see you aa content creator for yrs now.How do any one who claimed not to be invested in something serious. The OPM for it stopped coming. |

vacanci:Are u a joker.I can not even wish BAT to manage the affairs of an enemy. For your analysis. I won't be surprised I have better figures than this over yrs when I put dividend received. The difference btw us is I have high life expectations for myself and neighbours. All you mentioned. Have you considered if emergency bill of 50 million and above comes. How you can handle it without reaching out to family and village people. OANDO does not exist when it comes to valuation of my main portfolio. I will only be at lost if onado goes below #20.I am not equally ready to sell any stock in my portfolio in the next 20 yrs so I can remove the money. If I sell it is just to rebalance to another stock with better prospects. And your question on devaluation and inflation. Go buy land in good location and develop it presently. You will verify better on the X multiples you are celebrating. |

vacanci:The majority of the youth who will decide the election are not comfortable with your kind of life expectations. And God is not that wicked to allow affliction happen the second time to Nigeria. He is already mentally dead.Go ask within your neighbourhood how many people are ready to vote him .You can even ask your family members and village people |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 7:48pm On Oct 17 |
Your argument is partly correct, but the 2013 claim needs correction. Using approximate NGX All-Share Index levels and exchange rates, an investor who bought at the end of 2023 would have gained substantially in dollar terms by October 2026. However, someone who invested in 2013 or 2007 would still have lost value in dollar terms, even before accounting for US inflation. The key point is that the NGX can rise significantly in naira terms while investors lose money in dollars because of naira depreciation. These estimates exclude dividends, which could improve actual investment returns. GeneralDae: |

GeneralDae:Nigerians are not in frying pan if you go around to see reality. They are already in hell. I was in Enugu teaching hospital for 2 weeks and cried for people. How people are dumped at entrance of hospital emergency units with no help coming because they can not afford hospital money.I practically helped two people. And the power supply to the hospital was unbelievable so to render some services was big challenge. No wonder the baron does not believe in nigeria medical services. The good doctors have all left.Na doctors depending on AI full government hospitals The private hospitals are something else. Thr one doctor will take up all kind of case even issues outside his expertise |

GeneralDae:How many companies listed on the stock exchange can be said to have been established as a result of any special or unique policy of this govt? None. Absolutely none! Companies like MTN, Airtel, Dangote, Aradel etc all added to the stock induces but none came to exist because of govt. So this issue of giving credits to the govt should not be exaggerated.. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeneralDae: 8:20pm On Oct 17 |
megawealth01:In 2013, the NGX market cap was $87 Billion (if you account for inflation, that is about $120 Billion today). |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeneralDae: 8:23pm On Oct 17 |
Streetinvestor2:Unfortunately, what you described is nothing new in Nigeria and Nigerians have been suffering. The FG is not doing well in the healthcare sector just like they have never done well on that since 1999 but what is the Enugu state Government also doing about it? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 8:55pm On Oct 17 |
GeneralDae:It is federal government hospital not state government hospital. That is whr major medical problems are referred to go in SE The private and state hospitals refer people to the federal teaching hospital. if you see the number of rejected sick people daily. You will wipe because they lack bed space for admission. if this country have medical emergency of 1 million people. I wonder what could happen in such case. |
