| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ghm: 11:44am On Oct 20 |
megawealth01:Great recommendation and thanks for sharing. However, "Good man" and "good governor" are two different things. I am sure he is a good man. Your friend grew up with him. He knows the personal side. But personal decency is not the job description. The job is delivering on policy, infrastructure, and governance for Lagos. Many good men did not give good governance—and even a Goodluck did not bring all-round good luck in governance. And to be fair, his record is not thin. He has been in governance for over two decades: 2005–2011: Commissioner for Science and Technology, Lagos State 2011–2015: Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Lagos State 2015: Special Adviser (Technical) to the Minister of Works, Power and Housing 2019–present: Deputy Governor of Lagos State That is not a man who just appeared. That is a career in public service. He resigned from his federal role in September 2018 to contest the Lagos gubernatorial primary, lost the primary ticket, and then accepted the running mate position. Many politicians would have left the party or sabotaged the ticket. He stayed. So when people say "he is a good man," ask: what has that goodness delivered for Lagos? And also: what has his two decades in governance prepared him to deliver next? That is the question. |

mikeapollo:We need men with capacity. Managing Nigeria will require more than being good. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 12:17pm On Oct 20 |
pluto09:A criminal can never have honest capacity. Thr is never a good devil anywhere. Integrity and character matters in anyone handling leadership positions. If u lack those attributes, you will definitely compromise base on something along the line |

Streetinvestor2:Ever since you entered war with Baron, your attention is shifted from stocks.I am very sure you can't win Baron. He is a strong and influential man. This has made you inexperienced in the stock market these days. How do you say traders are struggling for 5% when they are on good paper profits at the moment? As a trader,I can tell you in a space of 4 weeks ,I have a stock doing 60℅ and still inching up,I have a stock doing 39% as at today and still accelerating. I have a stock doing 30% as at today and not backing down.I have another stocking doing 25%. To surprise you, some of my stocks will be doing 100% and above in the coming days. Leave politics and do stocks. Loco is only doing stocks and ready to join the winning team whether APC or NDC.All of them na same birds of same feather |

pluto09:A good person can't manage Nigeria. Americans need Barons who can share our resources with. Gaddafi of Libya was a good man who managed his country's resources for the interest of his people but was eliminated by the Barons. It will be difficult for an honest person to win election in Nigeria. Maybe it can be in the future. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 12:24pm On Oct 20 |
pluto09:A man with capacity for dubious things, fraud, forgery, drugs etc. will destroy things. Your ''capacity'' must have underpinning integrity, truthfulness, honesty, sincerity, hard work etc. before it can be useful. Otherwise, it would destroy. The devil also has ''capacity''! |

Managing Nigeria requires good people with integrity, competence, patriotism, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people. Our nation needs leaders who place national interest above personal ambition and public service above personal gain. pluto09: |

Stockpromoter:When I mentioned traders. I meant the ones in this market whose daily/weekly/monthly expenses depends on what they make from ngx Then for the percentages of gain you claim Do mention the stocks and what day u made the purchases so we can verify the 4 weeks Politics is my interest now because it affects me and my neighbours more than your ngx.Ngx is not the one financing my bills or generating the funds invested in it. It has always been my savings account. The economy has been my source of fund for ngx and paying my bills. I know it could be different for u as u have never hard me say, I have sold off A to move to Z to make quick gain. So enjoy what u do as I am not interested in that route. I go days without looking at prices of stock on ngx |

mikeapollo:Reminds me of that popular warren Buffett saying I look for three qualities when hiring people: integrity, intelligence, and energy — Integrity matters most because without it, the other two will kill you..Warren Buffett When a person's lacks integrity, you want him/her dumb and lazy, not smart and hardworking. |

mikeapollo:We have had good people as presidents in the past. They couldn't deliver much because they didn't have the capacity. You can't give what you don't have. I never said we needed dubious people, my argument is that being good alone is not enough. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 1:24pm On Oct 20 |
megawealth01:Dangote flour was sold, isn't it? Investors were paid off; he did not hold down people's funds whilst the company continued to record poor results. Even assuming (without conceding) that Flour was a ''failure'', what about Cement and Sugar? Two over three (2/3) is equal to 67% which is pass mark anywhere in the world! The Flour sector (with so many competitors) is different from Cement and Oil Refining sectors with very few competitors. The Flour business had no significant export, unlike the refinery that has significant export market, especially now that Europe is trying to wean itself away from Russia and the Middle East. |
