Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 1:32pm On Oct 20
WOW
mikeapollo:
Dangote flour was sold, isn't it? Investors were paid off; he did not hold down people's funds whilst the company continued to record poor results.
Even assuming (without conceding) that Flour was a ''failure'', what about Cement and Sugar?
Two over three (2/3) is equal to 67% which is pass mark anywhere in the world!

The Flour sector (with so many competitors) is different from Cement and Oil Refining sectors with very few competitors.
The Flour business had no significant export, unlike the refinery that has significant export market, especially now that Europe is trying to wean itself away from Russia and the Middle East.

We have had good people as presidents in the past.
They couldn't delivered much because they didn't have the capacity. You can't give what you don't have.
I never said we needed dubious people, my argument is that being good alone is not enough.
Because of the corruption in Nigeria, being good, honest, sincere and truthful with integrity, is more important that just having ''capacity''.
The so-called ''capacity'' can be used to do the wrong things! Thieves also have ''capacity''!

Again, men of capacity are not necessarily scarce; what we lack are men who are sincere, have integrity and truthfulness to lead and do what is right for the country!
Even if men of capacity are scarce, we can still find a few ones to appoint in strategic areas and get the job done!

All this noise on Dangote refinery dey make me laugh
All things being equal and removing BAT government in the equation.
I can bet on more than 5 stocks that will easily deliver 100% gain in future before that refinery ipo will achieve 100%
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 2:12pm On Oct 20
All those buying the DANGOTE REFINERY IPO with the expectation of turning ₦10 million into ₦100 million or ₦100 million into ₦1 billion within one year, I dey feel una vibes! 😂

Una go learn some new things soon. The market has a way of teaching lessons that money alone cannot explain. 😎

That is very possible!

But the IPO is drawing so much attention, not just because of the returns that it can bring to investors, but because of the refinery's strategic significance and importance to Nigeria, and Africa, being one of the largest in the world .

Atiku is the most popular candidate in the north right now. His decision to remove subsidy has gained him a lot of followers among the ordinary people in the north.

We don't need any so-called ''FG master plan'' for the NGX! They would just destroy the NGX with some useless policies.
They should ;eave the NGX alone and let the market run as it had been running long before they came to power! Clueless confusionists!
It is mandatory. You have no choice

The NGX does not run in a vacuum. It runs within a legal and regulatory environment that government controls. The question isn't whether government should have a plan. It's whether the plan is good. Dismissing the whole thing without reading it is not analysis—it's noise.

The SEC's Capital Market Master Plan was initially launched in 2014 and has been reviewed and updated through 2025. It is not a new invention by this administration. It has gone through extensive stakeholder consultation and public hearings.

The plan's targets are specific and measurable. It aims to raise N150 trillion in capital for infrastructure by 2035, expand retail investor accounts from 7.5 million to 15 million, and increase the market's annual turn-over ratio from 10% to 50%. It also proposes strengthening the SEC's enforcement powers and increasing capital limits for Trading License Holders.

Nsempa, Streetivestor2 and other serious investors, the game is changing.

The era of buying fundamentally strong stocks and simply waiting for years for growth may be fading. The secondary market is increasingly becoming a trader’s game.

Going into 2027, get ready to hunt for 5% gains per trade and keep rotating capital where opportunities exist.

Long-term investors may not like this approach, but active traders will understand the game.

The new strategy? Spot the opportunity, take your profit, and move on.

No Q3 results yet, except that of Transcorp Hotels.....maybe by next week...
Some Q2 self never drop.
We don't know why the unusual delay this year, maybe because it's pre-election year.

Thank you, but no thanks
Let them keep off the NGX before they create confusion!
We have been doing our investments ''jeje'' before they came and devalued our investments and make us lose value! They still call it ''reforms''

Power is transient. There was a time when he was powerful and seemingly unchallenged, but today, he needs the empathy and goodwill of the masses. This is a powerful lesson for everyone: never mistake power for permanence or authority for the loyalty of the people. Positions change, influence fades, and the same people who once stood in awe of you may one day determine your relevance.

Will government sell PH and Kaduna REFINERY to Alhaji so it can be listed on NIGERIA STOCK MARKET?
