Ur theory sound good on paper....
But wont work in reality ....
Inflation always outpace wage growth rate in Nigeria...
The moment fuel prices spike, the cost of virtually every commodity skyrockets.
The damage to household purchasing power and the local consumer market happens immediately,
long before the promised jobs, investments and economic benefits materialize...thats even if they materialize
Businesses cannot thrive in a consumer market where millions of people can barely afford basic necessities.
Businesses will lose customers, lay off staffs and may eventually close up.
Acc to NESG, 30% of Nigeria's 24 million registered MSMEs collapsed due to BAT reforms.
That is a bad statistic for an economy that desperately needs job creation and private-sector growth.

Tinubu had options.
That is precisely why he is President.
His government could have considered a supplementary budget,....
It could also have accelerated domestic refining capacity ...
and rolled out viable alternatives before exposing Nigerians to the full shock....
He decided to chose the extreme path.

What makes the situation more troubling is that BAT has continued to borrow massuvely from
the World Bank and international debt markets,
while Nigerians still question the pace of reductions in the cost of governance.
Even, all the monies freed up from removing subsides has been completely wiped out.

Well Tinubu did reintroduce subsidy from around August 2023 when the exchange rate kept going haywire. They only named it under security votes in NNPC records. This continued until Dangote started producing fuel in October 2024.

We weren’t even paying NNPC anymore as at May 2023. The debts just kept piling up and NNPC stopped remitting, so why should Tinubu given these circumstances, send a supplementary bill to continue fuel subsidy beyond June 2023?

The biggest issue in 2023 was not subsidy but getting the right exchange rate for the correct pricing of everything.

In 2022, a Nigerian business had a deal where they were to pay for goods worth about $30 million and they were to withdraw this from the CBN in tranches within a few months. In the first tranch, they could only get $15000 from the CBN. This was how critical the FX situation was at the time.

You just keep going left and right, back and forth, giving inexcusable excuses, all in a desperate effort and attempt to defend a govt that is obviously clueless and inept!
The verdict is out there: Nigeria has become the poverty headquarters in the world because of the so-called ''reforms'' that you always defend.
Are you paid to defend the govt at all costs? Even official govt spokespersons are pleading with the people to bear with govt; but you are here justifying everything the govt did. Incredible

It is obvious now that you are government agent assigned to this thread. Show us proof of your investment on ngx.
Do show the one before BAT became president

You are beginning to tell annoying lies.
Was it not Tinubu that made the exchange rate to start going haywire because of reckless policy announcement without proper assessment of the situation

🚨🔥 IEI INSURANCE: FULL BID AT ₦2.23! 🔥🚨

One of the Loco insurance stocks is attracting serious attention!

IEI INSURANCE — ₦2.23 AND FULL BID! 📈

The recapitalization story, the capital raise and the potential for improved business performance make IEI a stock traders should keep firmly on their radar.

🎯 My bold watch: ₦5.00!

From ₦2.23 to ₦5.00 would represent approximately 124% upside if the stock reaches that level. It is an ambitious target, not a guaranteed forecast, but it shows why this penny stock is attracting attention.

The big question is whether buying pressure can sustain the momentum, break through resistance and attract more volume.

👀 LOCO INSURANCE RADAR: IEI IS ONE TO WATCH!

If technical strength, genuine demand and positive company developments align, the stock could deliver an exciting run.

🔥 Keep your eyes on IEI. Watch the bids, watch the volume, and let price action confirm the next move!

Full bid is a market signal, not a guarantee of continued gains. Do your own research and manage your risk.

Who could access dollars, euros or pounds from the banks pre-Tinubu? Exchange rate is meaningless if you cannot even collect your money from the banks. I know how much I had in my account that I couldn't collect for years till Tinubu enter. Today, I just sit in my house and transfer dollars to my naira account with no stress.

If you don't use dollars you do not need to argue.

The major problem was Jagaban’s declaration: “Subsidy is gone!”

Everyone close to this government appears to be extremely wealthy, irrespective of their tribe, while the suffering of the masses continues to worsen. It is becoming increasingly difficult to believe that this government genuinely cares about the plight of ordinary Nigerians.

It was better buying it at black market for 700 than buying it at bank now for #1380
Abi it was not equally available to you at black market.
What use is in getting it at 1380 now at bank while hunger and poverty is ravaging the country. Any business man could get any amount he wanted at black market price. So nothing special at present officially price to Nigerians
And is this failed government keeping it at that 1380 not any free float

One of the data boys is busy tracking my movements and time zones as if na the job wey him don secure! 😂

How exactly do you intend to track the activities of a tech guru? Perhaps the dude needs some education in TECH, CRYPTO and how the digital world actually works.

Abeg, whatever you are collecting from Jagaban, try to have some conscience and remember the poor masses who are bearing the brunt of these policies. Not everything is about propaganda; sometimes, a little education and empathy go a long way.
