That is how he (the clueless baron you are defending) was fishing until he became president! I learnt the ''expedition'' from him..

Can't you sneak in Access Bank for once?
With all your expertise and alayses?
What kind of ''deliberate wickedness'' is this? grin grin
Access Bank? I wish. That one pass me. But never say never.

Let's be honest—Access is not an interim dividend play right now. The CBN is withholding approval because of a capital breach (foreign subsidiary exposure at 19.3% instead of the 10% limit). Management has until May 2027 to fix it, but so far, no concrete divestment or restructuring has landed. Until they fix it, no interim dividend.

And before you accuse me of "deliberate wickedness"—we are in the same ship together. Access is my largest holding by number of units. So if I am omitting it, I am omitting myself.

It is not wickedness, just facts. If Access fixes the breach and declares an interim dividend, I will add it myself.

I would not become president if/when I am not ready for the intellectual and physical demands of the job.
I don't have ''emilokan'' mentality or sense of entitlement

Yeah, you are right.
But they seem to be gradually divesting some of their foreign subsidiaries.
They may just announce a big deal by end of December in order to avoid breaching the Mar2027 deadline.
Such divestment may lead to cash distribution to shareholders (special dividend) and potential jump in the share price.
Lets wait and see

Just let me do follow Emilokan's footsteps. He is the one who called a sitting president a ''drunken fisherman''.
So let me continue with the ''fishing expedition'' of the ''drunken sailor'', according to OBJ

Give the mic to the critics that never see anything good in the country since it's not their candidate in power.

Chart of 3 other African countries with robust stock market
grin grin grin grin grin
I hope you understand what is wrong here. Simply presenting a chart without making the proper adjustments can lead you astray. Did you account for devaluation?

The growth you're seeing is expressed in naira, which has been devalued significantly. To make a fair comparison, you need to put all the countries on a common basis before plotting the data. That means converting each data point into its dollar equivalent at the time (the dollar has also lost value, but it is still a relatively useful benchmark) and then plotting the results.

Let's see if we still get that parabolic upward curve after making these adjustments.

...well I love to provide data & no be dem say, dem say. If Morrocco, Egypt & SA, that are top market along with Nigeria, do not show "wonderful" performance in their stock market, but Kenya does, it might indicate money rotation. Monies might be rotating from the top 4 to the lesser performing markets which obviously Kenya is one of them.

Unfortunately, I struggle to find Kenya stock market index on the platform I'm using, I would have shown it.
grin grin grin grin grin
Your application of the data is wrong. In percentage terms, relative to its own baseline, Nigeria performed very well. However, since we are comparing different countries, you need to express the data for all of them in the same unit to make a fair comparison.

You get it wrong. It is not all about winning election for everybody critiizing the govt.
Any presudent can "win" an election Nigera.
Buhari won a second term OBJ did.
Abacha would have won election if he did not die
Obasanjo would have won if the Senate did not block him for 3rd term

"Winning" an election in Nigeria is not too difficult for a desperate sitting President. By hook or crook he can always win.
Political parronage, money, thugs, ignorant electorate, security agencies, INEC righing, is all that it requires for a desperate sitting president to win agsin.
So in acrual fact Tinubu can "win" again, either genuinely or otherwise.

But that does not indicate he has performed well in govt. Several of such examples abound in Africa! It is nothing new
For me, he has a clear advantage unless something drastic happens. But I am not imoressed by his performance in govt. It has been poor!
