No!
They left their businesses for their families to handle that is not the same as selling everything you own and giving it to the poor.

After following Jesus for three and a half years Peter still return to his fishing business so if he had sold everything how could he have returned to the business?🥱
keeping adding and changing the meaning of the text, eh, don't repent o.

So the Greek word left which meant they forsake, gave up everything is what you are interpreting this way?

Why make a big deal between sell and left when the rich man still had the same expectations, give those things, forsake all and follow Jesus. Even Jesus said it himself in Luke's account in Luke.14.33 "In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple."

You left out that John that records Peter going back to fishing was asked by Jesus, do you love me more than these... More than fishes, more than fishing John 21:15

Luke.14.26 "If you want to be my follower you must love me more than your own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, more than your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.

The rich man was tested, did he love his wealth or did he love the son of God, same test the disciples had passed and why Peter had to ask is there any gain in losing the world.

Bro, repent, what would you profit you if you gain the world but lose your soul

Jesus said Why call me good, no one is good. "You know the commandments"; No one is good—except God alone

Mark 10:18-19
18“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.
19 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.’

For Jesus to say why call me good, no one is good, means that only the commandments of God are good. Not even him Jesus is good.

The point is they never sold what they had and distributed to poor people. You want to rubbish Jesus that's why you are trying really hard to imply what you don't understand!🥱

When some people don't want to learn they will just summarize everything in a rush and expect it to go round.
Peter said they have left everything to follow Jesus which includes their families and jobs how does that translate to selling off and giving to the poor in a literal sense?
Did they also sold their families and gave to the poor too?🥱
