mikeapollo:Is it a mandatory buyback, and at what price? Not exactly. Here is the sequence: The government asked insurance companies to recapitalize. After trying several avenues, Coronation decided to sell part of the company to the public to raise the money needed to meet the regulatory requirement. Now that they have crossed that hurdle, they want to buy back the shares they sold to the public. They offer a price and expect shareholders to exit. It is not illegal. But it is ingratitude, indecision, irresponsibility, and disloyalty. They used the public to meet a regulatory requirement and now want to push the public out. On the "mandatory" question: if the scheme is approved by the required majority at a court-ordered meeting, it becomes binding on all shareholders, including those who voted against it. So for minority shareholders, it is effectively mandatory once the vote passes. The only question is the price. |

AFRICA PRUDENTIAL PLC LAGOS, NIGERIA UNAUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2026 Summary of Africa Prudential Plc Q3 2026 Unaudited Financial Statements (9 Months Ended 30 September 2026) The latest unaudited results show that Africa Prudential Plc (AFRIPRUD) continued to grow strongly during the first nine months of 2026. The company earned more money, increased its profits, and maintained a healthy financial position. 1. Profit Increased Significantly The company's profit after tax (the money left after all expenses and taxes) rose to ₦2.69 billion from ₦2.05 billion in the same period of 2025. This represents an increase of about 31%. For an ordinary investor, this means the company generated substantially more earnings than it did a year ago. 2. Total Income Was Stronger AFRIPRUD's net operating income increased to ₦6.91 billion, compared with ₦5.11 billion in the previous year's corresponding period. A major contributor was interest income, which climbed to ₦5.85 billion from ₦4.00 billion. This suggests the company benefited from returns on its investments and cash holdings. 3. Core Business Continued to Grow Revenue from its main business activities increased to ₦1.07 billion, up from ₦965 million a year earlier. This indicates that the company's registrar and investor-services operations were still attracting business and generating more income. 4. Cost Profile Like many growing businesses, AFRIPRUD spent more money to support its operations: Personnel expenses increased to ₦1.39 billion from ₦970 million. Other operating expenses rose to ₦1.33 billion from ₦962 million. While costs increased, profits grew even faster, which is generally a positive sign. 5. Shareholders Benefits The company reported earnings per share (EPS) of 67 kobo, up from 51 kobo in the same period of 2025. In simple terms, every share in the company generated more profit than it did last year, which is usually good news for shareholders. Additional Good News Apart from profit, the company recorded gains on some of its investment holdings, helping total comprehensive income rise to ₦3.02 billion from ₦2.42 billion in the comparable period of 2025. Overall verdict: Africa Prudential Plc delivered a strong Q3 2026 performance. The company appears financially healthy, with growing profits driven by both its core business and higher investment income. |

ghm:Coronation Insurance, formerly WAPIC did not just start the delisting talks, it was dated back to as far as around 2021. I could remember vividly that I was one of those warning people not to buy above the delisting price during one of the bulls around 2023 or thereabout (can't remember the year). So, it's not because they now met recapitalization that they wanted out, it was a long planned matter. ** This time around, 2026 the buy out price has been adjusted to N2.60 whereas it was below N1 before. https://proshare.co/articles/coronation-insurance-plc-proposes-delisting-as-its-majority-shareholders-offer-a-buyout

AN OPEN WARNING TO MR STOCKPROMOTER. My dear Mr S. Promoter, In 2024/25, I cautioned you against your habit of aggressively pushing your stock picks down the throats of forum members. I am confronting you again: stop polishing fundamentally weak, illiquid and seemingly moribund stocks in what appears to be an attempt to create exit liquidity at the expense of unsuspecting investors. After accumulating these stocks, you appear to target inexperienced members who may become exit buyers. Remember, a rotten fruit does not become sweet because it is wrapped in gold foil, and a dead horse cannot run simply because its saddle is polished. No amount of promotion can permanently conceal poor fundamentals. To prospective victims of such promotions, please exercise caution. Research every company independently before investing. When the seller's voice is louder than the company's fundamentals, proceed with caution. I do not envy you. I am an experienced investor across multiple exchanges, with a track record of successful investments. My concern is that this forum should promote genuine investment opportunities, not become a dumping ground for questionable stocks. If Nigerians had the courage to challenge unethical conduct rather than remain silent, perhaps our society would be in a better place today. I also remember your previous claim that I met you on this forum and would eventually leave it for you. You are gravely mistaken. My reduced participation has been due to repeated bans by moderators, which I believe discourage open criticism and accountability. Although the saying goes that a leopard cannot change its spots, you are not a leopard; you can change your ways. An investment forum should be a marketplace for knowledge, not a hunting ground for unsuspecting investors. I have spoken again. Let the fundamentals speak louder than the promoters, and let investors protect their hard-earned money. Regards.

Billionaire investor Femi Otedola is buying Dangote Cement shares again, according to sources who spoke to Nairametrics. Sources with knowledge of the matter said he is targeting a 5% stake in the cement producer. Dangote Cement has a free float of less than 10% with Dangote Industries owning 86.65% as of December 2025. The reported purchases come as Dangote Cement shares gained 10% on Friday, although Nairametrics could not independently verify the buying or establish its connection to the price movement. @megawealth01 Ote likely to do same with Dangote Refinery.. even if not immediately after listing |

Mankind2024:Mankind2024, I think this goes beyond constructive criticism and begins to look like a personal attack. If you disagree with someone’s stock picks, the strongest response is to present the facts: the company’s financials, valuation, liquidity, risks, and reasons why you believe the investment is poor. Let other forum members examine the evidence and make their own decisions. Stock promotion is not automatically manipulation, just as criticising a stock does not automatically make someone right. What matters is whether the information being shared is factual, balanced, and transparent. Calling someone’s stocks rotten, accusing them of seeking exit liquidity, and describing other members as potential victims are serious insinuations. Such claims should be backed by specific evidence, not assumptions or personal judgments. We are all here to learn, share ideas, debate investment opportunities, and make better decisions. Nobody owns the market, and nobody has a monopoly on investment knowledge. Challenge the analysis, not the analyst. Present the facts, not personal accusations. Let the market and the fundamentals determine who is right. This forum will be a better place when we hold every stock opinion to the same standard of evidence, regardless of who makes it.

Agbalowomeri:So you did not see the Arise TV interview? And you did not see the link to the publication by Punch Newspaper? https://punchng.com/lagos-calabar-highway-has-no-single-engineering-design-umahi/ Sometimes I wonder why and how you put aside all the things you ordinarily know, and decide to defend the indefensible! Political hypocrisy and sycophancy? |

Nigeria can not continue to be betnaija whr people will require TA to survive God forbid .That was not the plan of the people who established ngx yrs ago And baron can not come and change it for us |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockpromoter(m): 10:50am On Oct 24 |
SonofElElyonRet:You must have bought based on TA+catalyst not because of my promo. I believe the TA is rising because people believe in what they are seeing in the company which is also reflecting in the order book. That is the TA+catalyst in action. My job is to promote what I see. Is that a crime? |
