Even my mum confirmed it due to the smell.thank u very much for d info |

I also wore a girdle tight shortly after my cs. @adetunrayo. Its still early days , your uterus is still contracting and shrinking, breastfeeding also quickens this process. Yocan also try the hot water towel massage on your tummy (ara jijo). |

jiro: Hello mummies I need some help pls I've been using coconut oil and the chicco baby range on my 5month old since he was born bur for the last month or so he has developed very dry scaly skin around his neck and shoulders. Has anyone experienced such with their baby? I've been told that its dry skin and I should apply more cream. I've done that but there's no change. I need a solution as I want my presidents skin to be glowing and spotless. Also does anyone have a remedy for cough and cattarh in babies?@omogemi pls what's tribact? Thanks a lotI can relate to this. My son had exactly the same thing (I use ori alone on him). It started when he was 4months and just ended recently (6 weeks). I showed it to my brother who is a medical doctor and he confirmed that he was reacting to the Penta vaccination. The spot where the injection went in also had pus collecting there (still have not done anything yet about that). I researched and found out it was fairly common with this new Penta vaccine. It clears away by itself after a while but the whole area peeled off at the end. |

Wendy80: Pls who knows what medication to use for Jaundice I̶̲̥̅̊n an infant? If possible locally made.My first son had jaundice at birth cos he was a premie. After the lights, we started exposing him to early morning sun and then stopped breastfeeding. Did it for 2 days and when they tested, it had practically cleared. The paediatrician told us that sometimes the jaundice is made worse by the breastmilk. However, I pumped and stored the milk until he was ready cos it was still colostrum. |

My 7 months old princess wont eat.its a struggle to get anything into her mouth.she crys so much when its feeding time and watching her so really gets at me from birth she never wanted more of breast milk.i noticed that sucking makes her sleep so instead of feeding she sleeps off, to avoide malnutrition i added formula. now at 7months its a challenging task for me to feed her.we are also approaching the teething stage and i am so concerned about how her low food intake would affect her teething period Any help pls would really appreciate the tips ![]() |

A fellow nursing mum said to me it isnt abt weight but the health aspect of it n not just for today but also for the future. and since the doctor said she is ok then she is. so u know what is best for ur baby as a mother, do it. @ify'sworld. with all due respect, breastmilk is i understand,is 88% water. my mum also said this same thing u said to me and when i tried giving my daughter she almost had diarrhea and i stopped imm. EBF is best without water. babies that are EBF are never dehydrated coz breast milk is water packed with nutrients. they have all they need in the milk. ify's world:I exclusively breastfed my first baby for 5 months and didnt give him water till he was 5 months. He never had constipation and was (still is) doing very well. However, he was on the slim side which is good cos he won't have to struggle with weight issues later in life). |

Ebf is a matter of choice.if you can do it,fine.if you can't,it's all good. That doesn't mean your kids will be dull and unheathy. My step mum is a nurse, never saw her doing Ebf with my younger ones. One of them is a brilliant architect now and i can't recall him being sickly.personally i've not tried it.My 3 older kids are doing well, they are healthy and brilliant.wanted to try it for my new baby but it's not fun at all.Now i want to stop but the Chief no gree.breast milk don too sweet am.I hail all the mothers that breast feed exclusively o! |

I aslo did 6 months EBF for my son and he was an orobo . We used to call him Michelin cos of all d folds on his thighs. Don't think EBF is responsible for babies' weight loss or gain, might be hereditary (am not fat o ). My 2 and a half month gal is also on ebf and she looks like a 4 month old! |

I had same problem with my baby I did EBF too and she was plumpy till abt 5months but was not gaining weight after then. She also refused to eat anything but breastmilk. I was very worried I took her to the doctor and even to the dietician. I stoped breastfeeding 1yr nd 1month and she eats very well and has even improved in weight just 2months after we stopped. You need to see her munch on potatoes nd fried egg. There are a lot of health benefits to EBF and u shouldn't worry abt her weight if she is healthy. My baby never had diarhoea or vomitted(tho it might be cos of rotavirus vaccine) You can start introducing solid when she turns 5months but breastfeeding should still be the main course. Its very normal to worry but don't worry she will be fine and don't give in to pressure from family members |

Abidec or most multivitamin won't make her eat, it will only supplement on those vitamins she is not gaining. Give her bcomplex in addition with that multivitamin and you should also see her doctor. She might have an infection. uyogabie: .Do you give her Abidec or any mutivitamin?it might be her nature dear.

|

Babies are human, so they differ. I tried EBF for my baby without water, but it didn't work for us. He was hiccupping non stop. We then called on his ped. Who advised that i introduce water. That since we live in de tropics aand also owing to his body make up, that he is loosing lots of water from urine and sweat. I introduced water, and everything became normal. So what worked for baby A might not work for baby B. |
Grate ur coconut like you would do if you are making coconut rice, put water and sieve it just like u would do for coconut rice. Put it in a bowl or basin depending on the quantity of water u have, keep overnight or maybe till like noon the next day, by then you would notice whitish stuff on the surface while the water settles. With a spoon, take that whitish stuff and put in a pot, put it on fire and allow to boil. While boiling, you will notice it becoming clear, you might think it is water, but it isn't, it's the oil. You can be straining it gradually till it becomes dry. If you don't strain the oil out while boiling, it will boil till it gets dry n useless to you. Whew, hope I have been descriptive enough. I pray it helps someone Thanks for demystifying this coconut oil ish. I just made mine, kudos to u. Let me add my little observation. Once it settles, put it in de freezer for like 30mins. This will make de whitish stuff coagulates and will be pretty easy to scoop out. Pheww |

the stand of a pead on EBF depends on wat she/he believes in,same for other issues.but personally i do not think introducing water atleast once a day can harm a 5 month baby, but if the baby is not complaining while the heck, its just a month to wait. |

Pls i nd ur adviseIssfat, you can use palm kernel oil on him, also known as black oil. It helps prevent babies from convulsing and jerking out of fear. After his shower, use a generous amount all over his body, also let some enter his eyes. Please, note that the oil stains so do not use when wearing him white clothes. Hope this help, good luck |
