@ all4naija, u said nnewi isnt a village? I laugh in Uruagu. Is it anybody's fault that Anambra has many developed villages? Dont ever compare any of your villages to an eastern village. Infact, onitsha is ppl's village. Nnewi is where ppl eg mr. Ilodibe(Ekene Dili Chukwu); Ojukwu; Ogbuawa ,etc call home.
Y are u being worked up?

@ Ak47mann, am in love with Kings palace hotel. Had a dinner party there and it was awesome!

How so?
It's like saying Owerri isn't a village when there are numerous villages in Owerri and then a relatively small urbanized area known as Owerri town.

all4naija: It is not about what I want to see, it is about telling the truth. Stating things the way they are in reality regarding what is being discussed.

Thank you.

You'd struggle to see mud huts in many Igbo villages. I personally don't think it's a good thing as some ancient houses should be preserved for history.

Growing up, I never saw a mud hut in my father's village and I wasn't born recently. I did however, as a small child, see some mud houses with zinc roofs (weird I know) in my mother's village which were eventually replaced with modern houses by the time I was around 8 years old.

My mother's village didn't have electricity until 1991 +/- 1 yrs.

I keep laughing at this image below for some reason. Most of you are here to deceive the gullible not me. I will never yeild to the attempt to blind people to believing Igbo villages are all of modern buildings without red mud huts.

Bwahaha...

Well, maybe what "they" told you about Igbo villages being full of red mud huts isn't actually true.

The pic posted is not what I would term a "typical" village setting.......but neither are villages filled with mud huts....that's just not what I saw in the village, when there.

Why are you so hung up on wanting to see red mud huts in Igboland, anyway?

ak47mann: The new Nnewi central park is now taking a good shape following the demolition of the old park, popularly known as Nkwo triangle. The new park is now located at Agbor Edo main market Nkwo Nnewi beside Nwanyi Imo bus stop. Buildings are being erected in the park, offices, shopping complex and mini shops that went around the park. The architectural plan is of high standard with a touch of creativity.

Nwanyi Imo bus stop. I remember that woman
