I studied in Germany. Started from undergraduate school. I speak fluent German and know much about school and work in Germany. If you have any questions, be it about English or Deutsch in Germany, l would be glad to answer.

For a starter, University education is free.

Hi man..pls shed more light on free education in Germany. How do I go about it and what are the requirements for undergraduate studies.

I'm actually planning on writing about the sustenance of living in Germany but time is not yet on my side, these might be of help:

#1 learn the language- visit http://deutschkurse.dw.de/KursPlattform/WebObjects/KursPlattform.woa/wa/UAAuthDA/auth?par=G5n9lnSPUIqm93qsNXWNH45V0 you'll have free intensive courses from A1.1. Follow it diligently and i promise you'll jump more than two classes like i did.

#2 Know that your 8000 will one day finish, use it to invest in yourself before it finishes

#3 Try to get some related experiences at home

#4 Know how to write a very good and 'BULKY' CV

#5 Do not settle for less, it might be difficult at first but even if you're paid 10 Euro/ hour to clean a toilet never ever stay more than two weeks before you get something better.. reason being that, everything over here is (what are your experiences?) If you clean toilet for a month, your experience will be just that and when you finish studying, you'll start from entry level in your chosen career.

I'm in the movie industry over here. Although it's not that easy but i got my first job after 6 months (I packaged my self and able to BACK UP everything on my CV)
My German, gives me the attention, My CV makes them think twice and my intelligence gives me the key to manipulate them LAWFULLY- Only if you know the LAW can you OUTSMART it without BREAKING it. Have an aim, follow it diligently.
GOODLUCK!!!

Unlike countries like Cameroon, anyone from Nigeria who intends to Study as an Undergraduate in Germany must have prior knowledge of the German language in the form of Goethe Institut Grundstufe course and the subsequent Zertifikat Deutsch exam must be passed before you can even start applying for a course at a uni in Germany. Undergraduate students at government universities (which are countless) do not pay tuition but a specific amount called "semester beitrag" (around 300 euro) for things like tickets (tickets are valid for 6 months and can take you virtually everywhere within your region) and ASTA.

Prospective postgraduate students do or do not require German knowledge before university application. One has to inquire from his/her choice university if any of the courses would require German or not. The Uni might offer your free german lecture before you begin the course if it is required but you must pay tuition that may fall between 1000 to 5000 euro.

Hi Bandit,
I'm studying in Austria and I want to cross to Germany for my M.Sc once I'm done with my B.Sc
What parts of Germany is education free? How much is the student health insurance per month?
What university did you finish from? What did you study?
Are there M.Sc courses available in Englisch?
I hope to get a reply

Writing in German will not help the flow of discussion here, you will isolate people who wants to join or ask questions.

I studied Business Administration at Mannheim University in Hessen Sir. Student insurance is quite cheap here. Around 85 Euro in a month.

Many M.Sc courses are actually offered in english as Germany is diversifying in the international dimension.

One thing is sure. When you study in Germany, you are like a force anywhere you appear. Your knowledge would be unprecedented. Studying here is so worth it. They hold nothing back in making you a force. Trust me.

Here in Österreich, tuition fee for international students is 750€ per semester and insurance is about 50€ per month.
I'm shocked that you said education is free in Germany. I will really like to ask you, is it free for M.Sc courses offered in Englisch too?

I wouldn't be able to tell you that. You have to check with your choice University. One thing is sure, you must pay something especially if you didn't obtain your bachelor's degree within the german system or you are not an European Union Citizen.

There are also free universities in Austria and some with tuition even less than 750Eur. However, you can find many free Universities in Germany too for your M.Sc Program and if you check out this website below it should provide you with everything you need and all the Universities offering international programs. I hope it helps.
