Why not just save money and go for ivf and forget the issue of infertility.

The IVF process is good enough to solve the issue of infertility.

enkaay: @faith2013, people think it's abominable to speak up and get help when they are dying to get help. A little information can be of help to anyone having the male infertility. The problem is that most men will not talk about it so it's left for the wives to do what they can to help their husbands. We had 2 icsi this year, one chemical, one bfn and if I knew what I know now, I wouldn't have been in a hurry. Fertilaid is good. DH took it and his count rose from 100,000 to 1.8mil within a month. Though they said it's takes 3 months but I know someone who took maca roots and it unbelievably went from 3mil to 120mil in 5 weeks.
Please what and were cn I get this mac root?

It's like truly we men are egocentric. Can't believe this thread is in the third page and not more than two(2) men owned up to be in this condition. Yet I know the extent of male infertility out there, God will deliver we men.
To the topic, I first knew that I was a victim of this health issue about three years ago and I could trace the root cause to my laptop. For about two consecutive years, I was addicted to playing Pro Evolution Soccer on my laptop for at about 6-8hours daily and this is done with the laptop on my laps. When I got married and after about six months of active sex life with my partner with no positive results then we got to know something was wrong and alas! the problem was on my part (2million sperm cells in 1ml, 70% motility and a bit watery semen). I was placed on Tarrivid (ofloxacin) to take care of the bacteria and Proviron (sperm booster) to boost the count. The result gotten after this was (2.5million cells in 1ml, 80% motility and slightly watery semen). I knew the problem was not solved with this so we resolved to alternative medicine. I got three (first is honey type, second is some herb extracted with water and third is plantain peal extracted with alcohol which was very colloidal or gelatinous) specially prepared medicine from a Medical Doctor who went for a short course in Phytomedicine and Tradomedicine in China or India.
Two months after taking this my wife got pregnant and we now ve a very beautiful girl. Now we are preparing for the second conception and I know it will be a success. Most of the things earlier mentioned here is What we are told to eat following my findings from the work of some researchers. Like taking carrots, walnuts, moringa tea and use leaf to cook vegetable or egusi as well as seed as food seasoning, Trevor drink, honey and onion combo.
Like someone said, let's avoid subjecting the testicles to any form of heat cos the sperm cells are proteins and proteins get easily denatured by heat. Also avoid tight pants and never place ur laptop on ur laps or close to your testicles.
I am a Nutritionist by training and will soon start my PhD degree in same field with special interest in infertility by trying the use of some herbs that could help in boosting sperm count, used as antibacterial especially staph and also pile treatment (as it can be a predisposing factor for male infertility). Will try as much as possible to keep following this thread and I want to urge us to move closer to God and never stop praying (prayer that moves mountains) cos with him all things are possible. God will put smile on the faces of the women here looking up to God for the fruit of the womb (Amen).

Please please please! Staph or staphylococcus aerus is not a cause of veneral disease. Cultures can be naturally found anywhere in the body, even on skin and body fluids. Excessive growth of staph is sometimes a cause of inflammation on our skin (boils) and conjuctiva (conjuctivitis). Nigerians have been deceived by a lot of herbalists on staph! Its time to bring this disinformation to a stop.

dvdon: shocked shocked shocked Jezuss when I am wasting sperm on daily bases in condoms, I no know say ppl need am. From monday I will start working towards insuring my precious sperm.

Hahaaaa, look at this man, you poured your water into condom and assumed it contains sperms, for your information those complaining of infertility also poured plenty of water and I am sure they have poured more water than you during series of testing. Better go for your own sperm count and don't be deceived into believing that the mere sight of 2 MLS of akamu means that you are fertile. Wake up from your slumber!

A man who is infertile cannot impregnate a woman, and infertility in a man cannot lead to miscarriage in woman.

There's difference between low sperm count and sterility. I think low sperm count is often exaggerated especially by women. A man whose sperm count is relatively low can still father a child if he has se.x with a fertile woman, except in few cases of sterility when the sperm count is abysmally low or there's no sperm at all. Sterility could result from undescended scrotum, damages to the testes due to accident or genetic disorders that lead to incomplete division of sperm cells. However, these cases are rare. In Nigeria today, what we consider as culprit for infertility is low sperm count which in many instances is a ploy to divert attention from the real cause of the problem. How about the so many premarital D and Cs? The ps 4 and ps 2s, the gynaecocids etc? The truth is that any healthy and well fed man who is not can impregnate a fertile woman. All these stories about low sperm count in most cases are larger than life. My advice to the men is that if your family doctor says that you are infertile, make sure you consult another doctor without the knowledge of your wife and family doctor to know the true state of your fertility because some women can do anything to put the blame for infertility on men.

The kind of support I see women giving their husbands on this thread is heart-warming
I hope if the tables turn, the men would also be so loving and encouraging to their barren wives

I'm saying this cos I had an uncle who suffers same issue. For 7years he married my aunt an no child, he kept threatening to throw her out and get another woman to give him children.
It wasn't until they both subjected to rigorous tests that it was discovered that the fault is from the man(due to an infection he had in his youth)

Now you need to see my aunt, running helter skelter from church to church praying for miraculous healing on her husband. (Someone that used to lash out at her and wanted to divorce her when he thought she was to blame)

Now the table's turned. She's the angel of patience and perseverance undecided

Guys need to learn from these women.
