Hi mums n xpectin moma's, congrats to udoka,rukemi and u all.av been ffg this thread for som years buh dz is m first time posting. I am 7weeks pregnant and I av bn facing a lot. First I dnt knw wot I. Can use to stop dz nausea feeling though not vomitting. And evrytyn pisses me off. I wish I cud feel normal again without even knowin I'm pregnant even though its my first. Please I wld aprc8 any suggestions.

Simababe,sorry for the nausea feeling, you can chew on crackers,gums or lick lemon sweets.I normally chew on kilishi to manage my own nausea.

Thanks for all the replies to my qstn. Na cheap article they worry me. Planned to go to onitsha main market where I can shop at a cheaper rate though its a bit far but closer compared to other big markets. Make I dey thinkam.

Just checking on y'all mummies. My son is the sweetest that has ever happened to me, one playful youngman, he has practically turned me his playmates, makes me run around the house chasing him, I Bless God for such a wonderful boy. He's a year plus and acting like he's 5 *raises eyebrow*

My March moms, I also intend to do my shopping in January too oh but since na 2nd baby, won't be having much to deal with.

And yeah, am loving this beautiful weather.

I'm 14weeks gone...I avnt started anti natal yet and d only drugs am taking rite now are dr meyer's folic acid and ferous. It's my second thoe...I hope am okay with dat for now....Congrats to new xpecting modas and new modas in the house...God bless us all and make delivery stressless

Simbaby. One thing i know is that morning sickness doesn't kill. Infact, i learnt the more the severity, the lesser the chances of miscarriage. So just hang in there for like 10weeks more. You will be fine.

@busolayemi welcome, u are gud to go with folic acid oR better still pregnacare, but I think u should see ur doc for a scan to @ least knw how ur baby is doing.

Hello people, ave being follwing this thread for a while and longing for a time when I will be an expectant mother too. Am 7wks pregnant, am grateful to God cos I had no difficilty getting pregnant @ all. So far its been smooth. No nausea or vomitting, I only have to deal with the occasional emotional outburst and sore moods. I do have stomach cramps much like menstral pains but am told that's just my uterus expanding in preparation for the baby. The crapms get worse after sex and it has rili made me wary of sex, something my brand new DH is not finding funny @ all but hey!!! That's the price we gotta pay. Lol I haven't started the routine drugs, I tried taking folic Acid but hated the smell so I stoped. I will see a doctor by next week when am 8 weeks.
Once again is rili great to join this thread...

Ope I dey o, cramps are still there, i hear its all in prep for d real labor, it comes and goes though and DH helps in rubbing my back. I registered in a private hospital just in case dis strike lingersbthough it will b called off by weekend. Doctors says I can go into labor anytime from now so keepinb my fingers crossed. God will help us all...

Maybe this strike is for you to boycot that your doctor that scared you. Please make sure the other private hospital you registered with is good.
I pray it will be easy. Just don't say any negative thing at that moment. Continue being positive. God is your strength and Esmeralda's &others too.

Sennykenny. U right about the weather o but the good thing is it's the best time to have a hot bath and drink hot things after birthing.

Sinie. My baby was born 9months, 1week and 2days after my wedding. That means immediately after my wedding...

How do u correct d old mamas doing omugwo for you? They still believe in d old ways of caring for babies and want to apply it to the babies. Eg I was told to only apply spirit on d cord at d hosp, but they want to apply vaseline before and now the cord is off,my aunt maintained its only vaseline That will be applied. Again d pen-is, am under pressure to apply vaseline or pencilin when doc said nothing shd be applied. Pls how do u handle these conflicts, bearing in mind these mamas used these their methods on us and it turned out well. I hv been told now again to buy bitter kola to soak in water to be given baby to calm his stomach, that its tummy ache that's Making him cranky, but new age called it COLIC ?

@honiepie....thanks dear....ironic you will say so cuz the meaning of the name dh and i chose even before i concieved is 'born into prosperity'. I guess there is power in our thoughts and word. How are you doing? as per epidural, you can read up on the risks but i know loooooooots of people that used it and are doing fine. I plan on using it sha, but we will see

@Udoka I hav a baby girl wen her cord was off I stopped using spirit was using only vaseline on her navel and it healed perfectly as long as is odorless blue seal vaseline is good,even as u are changing ur baby diaper be applying it,he will neva hv nappy rash,i used Enfacol for d colic buh my moda in law said sometin abt bitter kola buh I hv started using infacol.its well dear.

@ goking, pls is it enfacol or infacol?
My first son really suffered from colic for months, he kept twisting and turning so I want to be prepared for dis one.
@ all, am 34 weeks today, Yipeeee counting down, pls pray for my baby to turn ooo, she is still breech.
