Here's another fictitious story from me.
The characters are purely from the writers thoughts, and it doesn't in anyway relate to anyone.
Constructive Criticisms are very much welcome.
Thank you.

*******PART ONE ********

PROLOGUE
I remember vividly Thursday 28th February 2013. I was an anxious young lady waiting for the Student Affairs Division of my University to paste the much awaited NYSC Postings.
I left school angrily 'cause I was within the school premises for close to 8 hours without any sign of the officials pasting "it".

Getting home, I breath a sigh of relief as I was within my comfort zone at that moment. Just then, my phone rang, and I saw Emmanuel, my favourite class mate's number on its screen.
"Hello iya ondo, how you dey?" Said Emmanuel
"I dey oo bobo. Wetin happen? Have they pasted the List? Wait sef, they've pasted it 'cause you called me "iya ondo" now." I replied him
Everything rushed out of my mouth all at once. I was glad the list was out, but I was disappointed in the fact that I was posted to ondo state as I was planning Lagos state already.
"Ondo State? As in Ondo State?" I mused to myself.
I called a number of my friends and asked them where they were posted, and all of them seem to be posted to Lagos, with only me posted to ondo State.

I summoned every courage I had within me, though disappointed, and started preparing for the journey.
Came Tuesday, 5th March 2013, I started my journey into the uncertainty of my one year mandatory youth service. My mum, a very caring "mother hen" insisted she was going to drop me off at the camp. Ibadan to Ikare akoko where the camp was situated is very far, so I prepared myself for the hopefully interesting journey.
Camp proved itself to be a very interesting place, I made quite a lot of awesome friends, three weeks flew by, the end of the orientation camp came, and there it was, our posting letter.

"Bimbo where were you posted?" Sade asked.
"Akure south." I replied with excitement
"Same here, maybe we'll even live together. " She said hugging me.
"Maybe, but first, I need to make some copies of this document, do you mind? " I replied distracted.
"No, I'll wait for you here." She said with gusto.
A lot was going through my mind, the next few hours is filled with uncertainty for me.
"I don't have anywhere to lay my head for the night, and yet this one is attaching herself already to me,mtscheew! Live ko, liveth nii" I thought to myself.
Thirty minutes later, I found myself and Sade headed towards akure. We passed the night at a Corpers' Lodge owned by a religious body.

The next morning, we made arrangements to rent an apartment together. After doing that and sorting all registration procedures out at the NYSC office, I left akure town for Ibadan.

*******CHAPTER ONE*******

"Tell me I'm being paranoid, but I have a feeling something's gonna go wrong for me this service year." I said
"What do you mean?" Odunayo, my very best friend asked. Both of us went to the same primary, secondary, and tertiary institution. We both planned to serve in the same state. However, fate chose that time to seperate us. Odunayo was posted to Lagos State, while I was posted to Ondo State.
"Look babe, you know me, I'm not going to tell you not to have bad thoughts towards yourself, but be careful what you wish for." Odunayo said, as forthrightly and honestly as she could.
"Okay, I hear you." I mumurred. "You're always taking everything seriosly. Can't you even say God forbid?"

I was getting annoyed, she only expressed her greatest fears to her bestfriend with the hope that she will have something positive to say. As usual, she took it to the extreme.
My mind strayed back to the day I left akure for ibadan. I was so unsettled throughout the journey. The words that kept going through my mind was "This is going the wrong way." I felt at first that it was because ondo state wasn't where I wanted, but when the thoughts kept on for a week, I knew something was definately going to go wrong. I could only ask God for grace.

Tuesday 9th April, 2013 came so fast. It felt like someone tampered with the calendar. I was due back to my station the following day to sign my payment voucher.
"What a day." I mumbled.
"Driver abeg drop me here." I said raising my voice a bit so the driver can hear me properly.
"Where? Road Block, or Chicken Republic?" The driver shouted.
"Chicken Republic."
The journey that was suppose to be four two hours thirty minutes had lasted approximately four hours. The bus had taken off five minutes after i got to the park as I was the final passengar needed to fill the bus. However, the bus had developed a minor complication shortly after take off. This led to my delayed arrival in Akure.

Sade my housemate was already waiting for me at the park. I got off the bus, and my friend sade helped me with my luggage down to the house. Sade had decorated the house, and it was looking so beautiful. I hoped and prayed that Service Year would really be worth it.
"Wetin you cook?" I asked, teasing Sade.
"Cook ke? I'm just about to go and fill the gas" Sade replied, then continued "Maybe we should go together, so we'll be able to get other stuffs in the market."
After settling down for a few minutes, I decided to stall my unpacking till the next day. For the time being, i was going to explore Akure and its full potentials of fine boys. I smiled inwardly at my very awkward plan.

The next day, I signed my PV and headed towards the mini flat i shared with my friend. Tiredness was written all over my face, all I wanted to do was sleep for five good hours at a stretch. I wasn't even noticing the events happening around me. I noticed a green primera parked along the road side, and a very fair and handome guy on the driver seat. I did a quick survey of myself. My khakis fitted me perfectly and showed off my well accentuated curves. My hair too spoke on its own. I knew i was looking good.

As i passed by the car, I swung my hips sexily, making sure that "Mr Fine Guy" saw every bit of my sexy body. I was a little bit dissapointed as the guy didn't even make a move as I passed. I was about getting to DPC junction along FUTA road, when I heard a car park by my side. Looking sideways, I saw it was "Mr Fine Guy."
"Hi, please don't turn me down, I just want to talk to you for a few minutes." He pleaded.
"Okay, just a few minutes." I said. I was very excited, he finally called to speak with me.

I got into the front seat of his car, then I had the full opportunity of assessing him properly. He wore a purple and pink stripped shirt over a blue jean. My hand strayed to his ring finger, he wasn't married! To me, he was truely a "hot catch". I was carried away with my inner assessment of him, I didn't notice he was trying to talk to me.
"Hey! I'm Adedeji, and you are?" He asked with glint in his eyes as if suspecting that I was assessing him.

"Oh, I'm Bimbola." I replied shyly.
"What do you do?" He asked, trying to make a conversation.
"As you can see, I'm in my khakis, you should know I'm serving here."
He laughed with amusement, his eyes all over me. " Okay. So where are you headed now?"
"Home. I just signed PV, and I feel like I can sleep till tomorrow."
"Oh, okay. I want to get to arakale, from there, I need to drop some stuffs for my sister in alagbaka. Can we go together?." He asked.

I didn't have anything I wanted to do at home. I'm sure I would just be lazying around the house. To top it Sade had gone to her boyfriend's place till the following weekend. I felt it wouldn't hurt to go with him.

"Okay." I replied "As long as you don't plan on using me for rituals." I joked.

He laughed on hearing me say that. His voice a rich baritone. We left Futa road, and headed towards arakale. He did all he wanted to do at arakale. Dropped what he wanted to drop for his sister, although I didn't meet with her, it was just interesting to be in his company. Then proceeded to drop me off at home.

He told me a lot about himself , which was quiet surprising for a guy. I told him mine too, my place of primary assignment, and we proceeded to exchange numbers. In my effort to continue making an "intelligent" conversation, I asked where he served.

" I haven't served. But soon." He replied.
"So you haven't gone for service? How come you're working?" I was a little bit surprised, and honestly, it reduced my scores of him inwardly. Oh my, how would he get a job sef. I was a little bit dissappointed, but I didn't let it show.
"Well, I'm into Quantity Surveying, and I work with my father at the moment." He replied, calming my thoughts.

"Okay." I replied.
By that time, we had gotten to the junction of my house. He dropped me off at the street, then asked for further descriptions to my house.

"So how do I get to your place from here? I really would love to get to know you better." He said smiling.

" If you're coming with your car, try and locate green roof. When you get there, give me a ring." I replied him.

"Thanks for the ride, I appreciate."
"We'll chat as soon as I get home. Thanks for keeping me company too." He said.

We said our good byes, and off I went home.

***************************************

I got home feeling very tired. My brain was working in different angles and dimensions. I was thinking about food, sleep, and electricity. And of course, I was thinking about Adedeji. I smiled again.

PHCN proved me wrong, there was light. "Maybe I'll make rice, and then watch some movies before taking a rest." I thought. I changed into a short and a tank top, and settled into making my food while charging my cell phone.

Our flat was well decorated and furnished. The rooms were painted cream. The curtains and drapes had flowery patterns. Sade was able to bring a sofa from home, and also an Air Conditioner. Before I went to Ibadan, we bought two 6.3' x 6' x 12" Vitafoam mattress. One for Sade, and one for myself. I couldn't wait any longer to help with the fixing, so I gave her money to fix our DSTV and buy the TV. She had done wonders by arranging the house properly over the period I was home. The house was looking sophisticated.
Suddenly, I felt stains on my shorts.
"Ooooo God!" I mumbled. I had totally forgotten I was on my period, so I hadn't changed since morning, and it was mid day already.
I got up from where I was and went to take a fresh bath and changed into a fresh clothes. Of course I had already taken care of my flow.

I was cooking in the kitchen when my phone rang out loudly. I thought it was "Mr Fine Guy" I catwalked out of the kitchen, making sure to take my time. I hadn't call him to thank him for the ride. My policy, he's interested in me, he has to be the one to call me first. (My yanga too much shey?)

I was however disappointed. It was my ex calling me again. For the fifth time today. What exactly does he want from me. I wondered.

Re: Along He Came. by MidieMeliss(f): 9:14pm On Aug 29, 2014
"Whassup!" I said, speaking into the phone.
"Hi back at you." Femi replied me.

Myself and Femi come a very long way. Femi was my private chemistry teacher then in secondary school. Somehow his "Fine boy" face caught me, and that was how we started our "illicit" relationship right from when I was in SS2. Along the line, when I got to my sophormore year at the University, Femi chose that time to cheat on me with my friend (also a cheat). Since then, it had been good riddance to bad nonsense.

For reasons unknown however, he became persistent in calling me. I knew right then he was up to something. In my mind, he'll always be a useless he goat.

"So, why are you calling this time?" I replied non challantly.
I didn't even wait to hear what he had to say then, and that was because "Mr Fine boy" 's call was waiting on the other line.
Trust me and my "suzieness" I kept saying hello into the phone. When I saw that "Mr Fine Boy's" call had ended. I resumed my discussing with Femi. Of course I told him to call me back later on as I was distracted at that moment.

As expected Deji called me back, and sounded very sweet on the phone ( actually, I had been replaying his voice over in my head since he dropped me off).

"Thanks for keeping me company today." He said as soon as I picked the call. "You're such a sweet babe."
"You're not bad yourself." I replied.
I could hear voices in the back ground, so to make for an interesting conversation, I decided to pry.

"Where are you?" I asked him.
"I'm just getting home." He answered like an obedient person." My friends are with me, and I've even been telling them about you.
I laughed like a silly puppy. "And what did they say? " I asked with curiousity.
"Nothing much, they just want to meet you. Can we see tomorrow? I really can't wait to see you." He said, sounding desperate.

Now, that's the kind of guy I like. One who is ready to do anything to have me. I didn't want to look cheap at the same time I didn't want to miss my chance. All I just told him was.
"Let's chat that out."
"I miss you already." He said, and ended the call.
"Hmmm" I said to myself, then went back to the kitchen to resume cooking.

After eating and sorting out myself for the day, I relaxed on the sofa and surfed through the channels on the Television. I was in that same position till late in the night. The sound alert on my blackberry signaled that I had a message. Checking it, it was from deji. I smiled to myself. I was so excited as I read the message.
It was a simple message, and it read "Babe, you already hold a strong place in my heart, I hope this feeling blooms into something big. You don't have to reply this. I miss you."
I hissed immediately I saw it.

"What exactly does he take me for? A LovePeddler? Does he think I can easily fall for his looks or what? Miss you already? Who is he deceiving?" I said to myself . (I too get wahala abi?)
I eventually replied him with a simple message of "Good Night" but thoughts of him filled my mind till I dozed off to dreamland.

***************************************

"Who is that na?" I said sleepily.
It was morning already, and a continous knock on my door had woken me up from my sleep. I stirred on the bed and checked the time. It read 08;25am. Who could that be? I asked myself. I got up, adjusted my shorts and walked rapidly to the door.

"Who is it please?" I asked, sounding more polite than earlier.
"Its me." Came the reply.
"You who?" I was starting to get scared. I had barely spent 24 hours in akure and a certain "Me" was already knocking on my door.

"Name please." I said curtly.
"Adedeji."

My God, I was shocked. Infact, paralysed for 10 seconds. Deji? What could he be doing in my house so early in the morning. Besides, how did he know my house.
I opened the door, my mouth agape. "How did you know my...." I said, the words trailing off.
He laughed (damn that rich baritone laughter) " I have my way you know"
"Which way?" (Abi he's a jazz man nii)
"Invite me in first babe, then I'll tell you how." He smiled.
"I'm so not inviting you in."I said with finalty. " You can't just show up in someone's house unexpected, without knowing the address and not expect me to question you." I said.

"Okay, relax ehen." He replied calmly." I showed your BBM display picture to a friend, he recognised you immediately and said you guys were the new tenants that just moved in to this place."

" And who is this friend of yours who is a living yellow page?" I asked
"His father owns this place. He came by to drop off some documents for you and your housemate yesterday evening, which gave him the opportunity to see your face." He explained. "I saw him later on, and he recognised your face immediately I showed him your picture."

I didn't know if to believe him, but it wouldn't hurt to try. I opened the door to let him in.

"Come in." I gestured towards the living room. (Yanga don officially start)

I just woke up, and hadn't even brushed my teeth. I started thinking of what to offer him. PHCN had chosen that best time to "take" the light. I excused myself and went to the kitchen to fix something for him. Even though he was right there in my Living room, my mind kept straying back to him. He was looking dashing in a stripped polo shirt over a blue jean trouser. "Mehn, that guy is fine." I said to myself.
"Deji!" I called from the kitchen.
"I'm just waking up, so I haven't had time to think of what to make for breakfast. What would you like to have." I asked

"You." Came his reply.
"What? I asked, as though I didn't hear his properly.
"I said you." He repeated.
I walked as fast as my legs could carry me into the sitting room. What exactly is this guy taking me for. I thought.

"And what to you mean?" I asked with annoyance.
"Oh, so you think 'cause you picked me up yesterday then I'm a cheap babe? One you can come to her house unannounced and have your way with? "
I was so annoyed I could barely see the confusion in his face.

"Oh, I'm so sorry." He apologised. "I didn't mean it that way. I only meant I wanted your company that's all." He said smiling.
"Oya accept my apology." He said again.

I felt very stupid immediately he apologised. I had read too much meaning into what he said. Again, I felt I was being protective of myself. (I'm my own big sister.*winks*)

"Okay, I've heard you, apology accepted." I said smiling again.

I was beginning to smile too much, and it was making me look like a smiley. He sat back on the chair, and told me to bring anything I had in the house. He'll take it as breakfast. All he wanted actually was for him to keep looking at my face though. I laughed heartily. The guy was truely fun to be with.

I made breakfast, served him, and excused myself to go freshen up. I took my time to bath and dress up. My aim was to look classy. I chose a yellow gown and should in case I intend to step out of the house, I chose a blue sandal to match the dress. Brushed my hair, and applied make up. Then I headed to the sitting room where my Adedeji was.

"O ga oo." He smiled as I approached him. "You really took your time . But I like the end result. You look really beautiful." He commented with a compliment.
"Thanks." I said.

If only a dark person could blush, it would have been evident on my cheeks.
" So what do you want to do today?" He asked.
"Nothing oo." I replied. "I intend to stay in the house all day. And watch movies, but thanks to PHCN."
Just then, PHCN chose that time to restore the light.

"Up NEPA." I shouted with excitement. " My dream just came true."
" Wow, your house is really beautiful for a corper. Do you plan settling down here?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Thanks, and to your question, No. We just want comfort all through service year. " I replied him.
" So do you want to take a short trip to my place?" He asked.
"Where do you stay?"
"Orita obele." He said taking a long drink of the glass of water I placed in front of him.
" My sister is getting married next week friday and saturday, she stays in England, and I'll like you to meet her, and also come for the wedding next week. Do you mind?" He asked.

" But I didn't prepare for any owanbe here in akure." I said. " My stuffs are in Ibadan."
"You don't have anything to do today shey?" He asked again and then continued without waiting for a reply. " Then let's go to my place, you'll meet my sister, see the colour of the aso ebi, then we'll go shop for the shoes and bags you'll need." He said.

I felt a bit uneasy with the whole arrangement. If however that was going to bring us together. It wouldn't hurt to try.
"Alright, let's head out then."
I wore my blue sandal. Picked up my hand bag, and then we headed out.
Re: Along He Came. by MidieMeliss(f): 5:14pm On Aug 30, 2014
*****CHAPTER TWO*****

"Good Morning ma." I greeted, standing up as soon as his eldest sister entered the room.

The drive to his parent's house had lasted approximately 10 minutes. The compound was a very neat compound, and the house was built with red bricks. A very simple architectural masterpiece. There was no one in the sitting room when we got to the house, but people were within the house. Adedeji had excused himself and left me alone in the sitting room. I felt so uneasy, and I kept asking myself what I was doing there in his house. His sister had walked into the sitting room interupting my thoughts.

"Good Morning Dear. How are you?" She asked.
She looked so beautiful in her adire outfit. She looked very much like Adedeji.

"I'm very fine ma."
"Deji would join you soon." She said and left the room.

True to her words, Deji joined me some moments later with his sister in tow. Shyness overtook me suddenly. I felt at loss of what to say to her.
"Bimbola, sorry I kept you waiting." He apologised. "It took a while to get her to come downstairs."

"Oh, its no problem." I said, standing up once again from where I had been sitting. " Good Morning." I directed my greetings to his sister.
" Good Morning the mysterious Bimbola." She said smiling. " You've really captured Deji's heart oo. I didn't hear him make a full sentence yesterday without mentioning your name."

As a reply to that, I smiled. I was already warming up to the family, not that I think of myself as a wife 'cause I was not even his girlfriend (at least not yet) . I spent an hour there at his place, after which myself and Deji went to shop for the appropriate shoes and bags that will match the aso ebi they picked for his sister's wedding. What surprised me most was we shopped together for complete four hours, and he never showed any sign of tiredness. After getting the right items, we headed for a local bukataria, where he treated me to pounded yam and egusi stew with goat meat. I really did enjoy my day. I checked the time on my wrist watch, the time read 06:40PM. I couldn't believe I had spent an entire day with him. I asked if we could get going already, as I was tired.

"Sure." He replied.
All through the journey to my house, we shared jokes, talked about a lot of things. We even shared secrets! (I'm becoming jelly shey?) I was so comfortable in his company, so much I didn't realise when we got home.

"Thank you for such an awesome day. I haven't had this much fun in years." He said.

"No, you thank you. Today was perfect." Came my very honourable reply.
"Can I ask you a question? And please don't say No. Even if you can't say yes, promise me you'll think about it." He pleaded.

"Okay, go ahead." I said.
" Can you be my girlfriend?"
"Ehen??" I was surprised. Of course it was what I wanted, but I never thought he was going to ask that soon.

"Please, let me think about it." I said.
"Thank you once again." I bade him good bye. I was about to open the door and get out of his car, when his hands stopped me. I looked back to see why he had stopped me in the first place, when his hands cupped my face, and he kissed me.

I broke free from his kiss. Mumbled a good night, opened the door and stepped out of the car. The low lights in the evening perfectly hid my flushed looks. As I stepped into the gates of my house, my hands strayed to my lips.
"Did he just kiss me?" I asked myself.
I hadn't very well recovered from the kiss when I entered the sitting room. I flung myself on the sofa, and started thinking about only one person, Adedeji.
My ringing phone brought me back from my reverie. His number flashed on the screen. I stalled a little bit before picking the call.

"Hello." I said into the phone.
"Thank you for today, and please think about my proposal."
"Okay." I replied.
"I'm already falling in love with you Bimbola. Sweet Dreams." He said and ended the call.
I slept so soundly that night. Someone was already in love with me.

***************************************

Five days had gone by, and I was intentionally avoiding his calls, and I also didn't want to see him (at least not so soon after the kiss). Though I picked at some point, I just didn't want him to think of me as desperate. At the same time, I was scared to delve into another relationship as I had been hurt in the past. I spoke with him only when necessary.

The Monday preceeding the wedding week came, and I went to my PPA (Place of Primary Assignment) and I had to teach those annoying set of students. They were so unruly I had to literally scream my lungs out to get them orderly. I got into the staff room, and sunk into the nearest chair, I was tired. A voice jolted me back to my immediate surrounding.

"Good Afternoon ma." I heard the voice say. "Please I'm asking for Bimbola."

How the hell did he know my staff room? This guy is surely filled with wonders. I stood up from where I was, and I walked towards him.

"What are you doing her?" I asked. I didn't even bother greeting him.

"For goodness sake bimbola, you've been ignoring my call. You've not been replying my messages, and I was so worried about you."

"Oh, okay. Thanks, as you can see, I'm fine." I retorted. I was so annoyed at him.
"Does he not have better things to do on a monday afternoon?" I wondered.
"Okay, but I'm going to wait till you're done at work, and we'll go home together." He said as if he is the custodian of my life.
"And I'm not leaving till we talk."
"Okay." I replied. "Is that all?"
" Did I mention I don't give up easily?" He added.
"Oh boy!" I said to myself. "What have I gotten myself into." I sighed and went back to the staff room to get my things.

The drive home was very silent. I was inwardly seething.
"For goodness gracious sake, why is he stalking me." I fumed inwardly.
Five minutes later, we were in front of my gates.
"So?" He asked.
"So what?" I retorted instantly. "If you think you have the license to stalk me 'cause of a simple kiss, then you're wrong."

"What? Stalk you?" He laughed.
Oh, how that laughter irritated me. I was so mad at him from within.
"Look I like you." He continued. "And that makes me want to know and care more for you. I hadn't heard from you as such in days, and since you told me your PPA, I decided to check if you were still alive. " He said jokingly.

"Oh my! So you're even wishing me dead?" I couldn't believe my ears was hearing those words.

"Okay. I'm so sorry you think I'm stalking you." He further apologised." But I was already dying of waiting as you hadn't replied my proposal."

"Don't you have things doing? Like a job or something?" I asked, sarcasm laced in my voice.

"I work with my father remember. And its not like I can't have some time to myself when I need it."

He was looking good as ever (wetin I expect before,"Mr Fine boy."wink . I still wanted to make him wait, but that curious side of me wanted to tell him yes. Still, I knew I had to take it really cool.

"Now, about your proposal." I said pausing. "I've been out of a relationship for close to three years now, and I've really been scared to go into another one. If I date you now, then we'll take things very very slowly." I explained. Then I added on a second thought. "You'll have to be my friend, my brother, my confidant, and the man I love."

"Okay." he said eagerly. "Should I take that as a yes?"

"Yes." I repeated. "You can take that as a yes."

And that was how I officially became his girlfriend. I wasn't in love with him, I was just infatuated with him.

He dropped me off , and then left. We communicated constantly everyday till the day of his sister's engagement. Did I even mention her name? Her name is Deola. She was looking resplendent in her purple aso oke and cream lace with matching shoes and bags. Adedeji had earlier come to pick us at home. My housemate was back, and she felt left out, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to take her along.

Two things however happened at the engagement that shocked me to the bone marrows. Up until now, I'm still yet to recover from the shock in itself.

"Adedeji, ejire (twin)." Someone called from behind us. We were at their house for the engagement. He was leading us to the seats that he had reserved for his guests, when someone called him.
I was shocked 'cause he never told me he was a twin.

"Ah. Mummy, good afternoon ma." He greeted respectfully.

"You're still running after girls ehen. I wonder when you'll listen." The woman chided gently.

"Mummy, Deji is now different oo." His eldest sister whom I met the last time I was at their place interrupted the conversation.

"Deji, won't you introduce her to mumsy?" She said laughing and walked away.

I wondered how they had time for bants on such an important occassion. Deji interrupted my thoughts and pulled me back to introduce me to the woman.

"Mummy, this is Bimbola." He said to the woman.
"Bimbola, meet my mother."
" Good Afternoon ma." I curtsied

I was shocked. First, a twin. Second, I just got introduced to his mother.
"Hmmm" I sighed inwardly.

Deji's mum seem to me a very nice woman (looks could be deceiving though). The engagement and wedding ceremony went perfectly. Deji kept me by his side all through the events. I really had fun and was comfortable among his friends and family.

The months flew by, service year was rolling fast, and I was enjoying every bit of it. I was a member of the cultural Community Development Service. (Cultural CDS). I loved acting, dancing and singing, as a result, I was a very active member of the CDS group. I made new friends,( and enemies inclusive). Adedeji too was quiet a handful too, doting me with care and excess attention. After spending seven weeks in Akure, I decided to travel home to ibadan to visit with my family. On a very bright saturday morning, I packed my bags, and headed for Ibadan garage. I boared a bus, and off I went to ibadan. I was so tired when I got home. Of course there was the usual excitement. But all I wanted to do was sleep ( I too like sleep shey?). My mother as usual was doting on me, but I didn't stop her this time. Abeg, I needed the pampering.

The next day, a sunday. I wore my sunday best, and went to church. During the service, I sent a message to Deji to wish him a Happy Sunday. When it was time for offering, my choir mama ( Did I mention I was a choir member before service year? Oh yeah, I was!) Cajoled me to take praise songs as they took offering from the congregation. I was stepping down from the altar, when my phone rang. Deji's number flashed on its screen. I rushed outside to pick the call as I wouldn't hear properly within church. What happened next shocked me.

"Hey Baby." I spoke to the phone.

"You're a woman abi?" The voice on the other end asked.

"Who is this." I fired back at the person.

"Look, my name is Bose, and I beg you in jesus name, please leave my boyfriend alone." She pleaded. " If another woman is trying to ruin your relationship, you will do the same thing. So, leave my man alone, and let me have peace and enjoy my relationship with him."

I was raging already. I cut the call, went back into the church and stayed there till the service was over.

Several hours later, I decided to call him, as he didn't call me back since the event. Of course as expected, he did not pick up.
On a change of thought, I decided to send him a text message, and it read.

"Hey babe. Hope service went well. I kind of miss you here, call me when you get this." ( Nor be say I miss him oo, I just wan catch him red handed.)

He never called back, or reply me. Which came as a surprise.

The visit with my parents lapsed that same day, and I went back to akure. On entering the sitting room, I flung my bag on the sofa, and went looking for sade. I needed to pour my heart to someone. I was seething within, I was sad. I needed to talk.

"Sade, Sade." I called, checking her room first. She wasn't there. Proceeding to the kitchen. I called again.

"Sade. Where you dey?"
"Babe! I'm in the kitchen ooo. How was your trip?" She asked, hugging me.

"Leave my trip for now. Can you imagine what happened today?"
I told her everything that transpired between myself and the bose babe when she called me.

"So, what has Deji said about it so far?" She asked.

"I called him, he didn't pick. I messaged him on whatsapp, BBM. He didn't reply." I answered.

"Wow, this is really serious." Sade was as equally surprised as I was. "You want my advise?" She continued. " I suggest you don't conclude until you hear him out."

"I also want to hear what he has to say." I told her.

Sade's cell phone began ringing. It was a mutual friend of ours Jide. He wanted to know if we were free to hang out in the evening. We wanted to free our minds and have some fun. We told him yes.

Later on in the evening, Jide came to pick us, and we decided to hang out at jojein hotels in Akure. We placed our orders, sat down and threw jabs at each other. It was a really fun night for us. While we were catching our fun, I noticed a man (a really fine dark man) making eye contacts with me. I decided to use the rest room. On my way, he intercepted me.

"Hey!" He called after me. "Please wait, I really need to speak with you."
I waited. I wanted to hear what he has to say.

"Yes? What can I do to help you?" I snapped at him.

"I really want to speak with you, but it seems you're in company of your friend." He paused a little bit before continuing. " Can I get your mobile number? Or your BBM pin?"

"Okay, you type in the number then. 07032101...." I called my number out loud to him.

"Here's my card too." He offered.
"No thank you." I said, dismissing him with a wave of my hand, I proceeded to use the rest room.

As I was stepping out of the rest room, my phone rang. I didn't even look to check who the caller was, as I was sure it was the guy I gave my number. I didn't even ask for his name. I hissed, dismissing the call. Surprisingly, the caller was persistent. I brought my phone out of my pocket, and lo, the caller was adedeji. I picked the call. What he said shocked me.

"What are you doing in jojein?" He asked accusingly.

"What do you mean by what am I doing in jojein?" I retorted.

" Your girlfriend called me with your mobile, and told me to leave you alone." I said, screaming into the phone. "I called you, you didn't pick. Of course you knew she called, but you never deem it fit to call me back!"

"So, that's why you went to jojein, and even had the guts to give another guy your number?" He asked again, annoyingly, in a calm manner.

"Now, I know you have a big problem. Lemme guess, you're here shey?" I asked.

"Of course, I'm behind you."
I turned around and stood face to face with the man I was in love with ( Love is turning me to jelly fish abi?).
