When you finished with the form, and at the end, there will be instructions about what to do next.

Dear Gurus,
Please i need advice for my sister (She is not on Nairaland).
She applied, paid her visa fees, and submitted her application, and fixed and interview date.
However, she was not able to attend the interview because of exigencies. Now, the date for that planned trip (August 5) has passed.
Now, she wants to start a new application, with proposed travel date for November.
Please, kindly advice on the following:
1. How does/can she get a refund for her initial payment?
2. What happens to her earlier application?
3. Any advice on how to go about it?

Thanks in advance

1) Actually, visa application fee of any category can not be refunded.
2) The "earlier" application is invalid and forfeited
3) You can't do anything about it, you just have to let go. This particular application would have no effect on future applications unless they contradict.
@ 3sha4lyf, i acknowledge your opinion, and I will understand if you disagree with my answers, kindly express your disagreements and the differences would be worked out.

There is a fraudulent visa agent with ID Ayomide777 and email address: onile4adebayo@gmail.com viewing this thread and sending emails to some members here. Be careful, don't be a victim.

I need help with completing the values correctly. How much considerably do you think should be on the columns? Now, if the total cost of the trip is £1100 and and the total amount i have for the trip is £1500, I intend to be supported with £400 by the person inviting me and also the total money that will be available from myself and the person is £2000.....Do you think this is ok? and if it is not too small when my application is to be reviewed by an EOC. I just need people to put me through as i think their judgement will be based on this.

These stories of acaccumulation of funds or compilation of money is not what the Visa Officer wants to hear, they would prefer to see that you are not one who needs financial assistance to travel for tourism: so, be concerned that your sources of income and it's documentation is the main focus.

toluwee: Hello, please since I'm not supposed to make payment for flights before getting visa, how do I get flight itinerary?

Hi, depends on what you need the "flight itinerary" for, concerning your VA. If it's to know the fares and route, you either go to your preferred airline and get a quote for the best route, or you just check their website.

But if it's the itinerary for VA, it's justsaying basically a plan of how you intend to spend the days during your visit in the UK. This you can draft with or without making payment for flight; in anyway, I don't see how both are related.

Hope This Helps.

Lol. VicJustice, according to the declaration you sign during application, there is a clause which says that "I understand that the fee payable is for an application processing and entry clearance decision-making service... I also understand that my visa application fee will be refunded only if the application is withdrawn in writing within 3 months and 7 days of the original date of application and prior to submission of biometric data or any processing taking place".

IF this is true, then can't one withdraw an application since [s]he hasn't gone for submission/interview/biometrics?

Good day guyz...God bless every one...I would love to go to the UK february next year as birthday comes up in March...I have been reading threads and kind of get the scope of those people who will check my documents...By the time i will be applying?i will be be having a balance of about 1,5M-2 Million and i have been running the account well for the past 8 Years and run well in the past one year...I have 2 brothers over there with the same surnames and with british passports and wives and kids but will probably be getting invitation from just one of them with all his rent papers, work pay stubs and all that he can gather.(do i need to include his wifes passport and word details?)I will be sponsoring myself and i would like to know if its better to state i would be living with them or in a hotel(so i can get a nice paid hotel booking for the duration of the time i intend to stay)...My questions goes thus.what are my chances with them cause i would not like to be rejected over a flimpsy excuse and yes will be having letter from work for leave with all the documents and i have been out on holidays previously to other countries...

Your chances of getting the visa (with reference to them) would depend on their history and their current circumstances: for example, it would be negative if they had sought asylum before, or they have history of immigration offence etc before legalizing their status.
Also, you may be subjected to stringent questions regarding them, so ensure that you know everything that you wish to know: ensure that they have adequate and comfortable place for you to stay in.
