EfemenaXY: Ah...ah..you welcome darling But the ginger will surely add taste to the food, but you can use garlic instead if you are a fan though! ![]() |

edwife: you welcome darlingGarlic? ![]() Don't get me started on that one! I recently discovered that the best way to exact sweet "revenge" on hubby & sons was to cook their favourite breakfast with garlic instead of normal onions on a weekday. Fancy waking up to the smell of fried garlic permeating through the house? ![]() Needless to say, the plates were cleared despite the accusatory looks and talks thrown my way. But chai, me too had to suffer the garlicky smell... ![]() |

edwife: o Lord, you are a clownNah... I'll pass on that one abeg. I know garlic has good health benefits, but sweet Jesus, it leaves you with an absolutely foul-smelling breath! ![]() That aside, I've discovered that garlic is a good bargaining tool for those reluctant to do household chores...i.e: you can either help mum do x,y,z or I'll just have to cook your dinner with garlic...your choice ![]() |

EfemenaXY: Good cooks in the house, I think I need some help.I know say u no call but my amebor no go let me stay out of this matter. ![]() U can make sauce or stew for eating yam, unripe plaintain or coco yam. Now to the recipe. Get garden egg, any one is fine but I prefer the little white ones dat can be eaten as snacks. Put it in a bag and boil the idea is to steam it. I guess it can also be boiled . Wen its soft mash wit a little . Now slice ur onions and pepper ( preferably d green bonnet) . Heat a little oil in a pan put the pepper and onions stir till the onions start to wither then add the mashed garden egg . add ur knorr cube, salt and a little curry powder. U can add crayfish, chicken, dry fish or boiled egg. U know its ready wen the oil starts to come to the top. Enjoy |

| Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by MadCow1: 1:59pm On Sep 28, 2014 |
cococandy: You must have a knack for spice and seasoningI generally love cooking especially the part involving the preparation of the ingredients. I always prep all my ingredients first and lay them out across the kitchen counter before I turn on the cooker. Cos I had a Rocky relationship with my mum as a kid cos she was always flogging me like the mad calf I was, the only way I could build a relationship with her was to be in the kitchen with her when she cooked and go with her to the market to shop for foodstuff, so at some point I became very good at cooking. spicing a meal is an art not a science. You must have a taste in your mouth you want to achieve before you put in the first spice. |
