I read people comment that keshi has provided results. Please what results are we talking about here? Football is rated on current form. In the last 10games keshi has coached, how many victories has the super eagles recorded??

I should also remind us that SIA1 was not the reason super eagles failed to qualify for afcon2012, it was eguavon! He lost to guinea in a crucial qualifying match. SIA1 even managed to cut that gap to same points, but we lost out on head to head rule.

Let me also remind you guys that nff couldn't inform the super eagles bench that at 2-1 with Libya playing goalless in their match, we would've qualified as best losers. Nff didn't even know that, SIA1 had to push the boys forward for the 'unwanted' 3rd goal which made us vulnerable to counter attack.
I said it to whoever cared to hear, keshi never overcame a though opposition apart from overrated ivory-coast. We won a nations cup that was less-competitive with a very average performance, yet we keep living in that 2yrs after.

Keshi failed at confederation's cup, failed at word cup! Please don't tell me qualifying in a group of Iran,Bosnia as second is an achievement worth mentioning. Those two teams were debutant at the world cup just after a first world cup win.
Keshi showed his tactical ineptitude in our game against France.

Congo brazaville with non-pro footballers disgraced us here in Nigeria not because the players were better but because their coach outshined ours.

The best news I have heard for sometime concerning Nigerian football is the report that Sampson Siasia is on the line to replace Keshi. Anyone that watched Siasia's teams to the U-20 world cup in 2005 and the Olympics in 2008 will understand how technically and tactically savvy he is as a coach. Siasia's Super Eagles also played with flair, created plenty scoring chances, scored plenty goals and infact never lost to any African opposition. Siasia's critics will say that he failed to quality Nigeria for the 2012 AFCON, the truth about that failure however is that it was not solely Siasia's doing. Ever before he became Super Eagles coach, a certain Austin Eguavoen already played and lost a crucial qualifying game in Guinea!

On the other hand, Keshi's Super Eagles has often looked bereft of any sound technical input from the bench. His team has found it difficult scoring goals and even clear-cut scoring chances have been hard to come by. To Keshi's credit, he did win the AFCON but even in that competition, his team as usual found it difficult to score goals even against the lowest teams. Keshi too has been fortunate with the fixtures. In the last round of the world cup qualifiers, his team was paired against the lowest ranked team that qualified for that round. Since qualifying for the world cup, Keshi's team has only managed to win one game in no less than ten games!

I disagree with you. Siasia got that job on merit and with the clamor of the people for him, but the power that be as usual in Nigeria was against him from day one, they were waiting for any slight slip/mistake to cut off his head, and it did happen.
Put the two statistics side by side and cancel out how many matches won/lost/drew by both, then you will ask questions by yourself why was Siasia got sacked.
We saw the brand of football Siasia played in 2005 in Holland, it was this brand that sold the likes of Mikel, Taiwo,Obasi etc,,,we were pleased in defeat against Argentina of Messi, just because of the brand of football played. Why cant we develop/have patience with this kind of tutor.
If we are not gullible, Keshi with due respect to him won the AFCON by luck. As a Nigerian with full of hope, I think Keshi should be given Technical Director postion, and Siasia as a Coach, it might be the winning magic for Nigeria. Siasia is far better than him when it comes to pattern of play, right substitution, timing etc...

True that. Another thing working in Sia's favour here, I must say is his humility - The Bayelsa sweat merchant listens to constructive criticisms and gives room to change.
Somehow, I feel bad for how he's seen by the average pro-Keshi supporters. If only he hadn't allowed Osaze in to ruin that 2012 qualifications for him, perhaps Keshi wouldn't have been here in the first place....perhaps his career would've made him the toast of Nigerians today.

That's what I am trying to say. Let's move forward Sunday Oliseh and Manu Garba partnership would be more than ideal. Let's play modern football founded on technicality and tactical brilliance. Keshi no get formation, Siasia was not serious about his job. Imagine a head coach saying him no no say na only draw we need to qualify.
