Of course I won't be called to clean the mess because I have played the good big sister by giving advice so whatever the outcome of his actions are are his alone. I will face my front except he uses my name or our general surname for something fraudulent then I will meddle because I will be affected but if he wants to go on a self destructive journey then the road is free enough. After one warning and he refuses to listen, I will simply watch him go into destruction such that he won't have or see anybody to blame but himself oyb: |

Even if I am called I will activate my ignoring button. If they call my phone I won't pick, if they come to my house i won't open the door, if they send someone to me I won't answer since I have forewarned and they said my mouth is smelling or I should keep quiet and face my front. I'll do just that very very well |

To Sambarry and all other advocates of "mind your business" The moment someone you grew up with, who you share the same blood with and who by one way or the other you have invested in financially, mentally, emotionally and otherwise starts to misbehave and wants to "throw all my efforts into the bin" then it becomes my business. I have a cousin who came to live with us at a very young age. He was a toddler when his dad passed away and the mum remarried. I personally made sure he never for once remembered he wasn't part of the family. Bought him all he needed to be comfortable, taught him arithmetic and English in prymary school, watched him play soccer and became a pro in the game. He suddenly came home one day and said he wanted to travel out to Ukrain. Thats not a problem, he too want to be in "Oyinbo man country". But when he still had 2yrs to finish his University degree which was funded not by his own sweat, and a lot of sacrifices made to keep him on top of his education only for him to suddenly want to "go to Ukrain" to play soccer during this war time just because he has a friend who seems to be doing well and had invited him. So I should close my eyes, just because he is above 18 and literally watch him go and die? I should forfeit all the investment on him to be useful not to me but himself just because its none of my business? Hell to the capital NO!!! The moment people realise their actions directly or indirectly affects the life of others the earlier they will know not everybody can keep quiet and watch them activate the "self-destruct" button. The only way he can get into that Ukrain is if he ran away from home, got all the cash he needs from wherever and never ever looks back....then I know truly...its no more any of my business. A Yoruba adage says "Ti ara ile eni ba n je kokoro ti a ko baawi, ti o ba bere hurururu l'oru, gbogbo wa la o ni sun!!! (If you see your family member eating an insect and you refuse to caution them, when he starts to suffer and writh with pain at night, you too won't be able to sleep. |

oyb:o have done what I am saying before a cousin of mine wasn't ready to get married at least domestic wise. She doesn't know how to cook and when she came to my house when she was younger and had the opportunity to learn I told her to come to the kitchen and watch me she said she doesn't want hot water to pour on her body. Which one be my own, I left her in the sitting room to continue watching E! Her mother too knew she couldn't cook yet she was distributing aso ebi and telling all her friends her daughter is getting married next month. I warned her mom she said i should mind my business it is what they call someone into that the person interferes. I said sarcastically emabinu o but I will still come and eat rice even if the marriage doesn't last. She said na me sabi.as I am typing that marriage lasted 4 months. She's back to her mom her husband didn't allow the cook they attached to her into his house. He said it's his wife only that he wants cooking for him so that if anything happens to him domestically he will trace it to cut the long story short. The man tried to teach her. She will complain that she's tired of standing. Sometimes in the kitchen when that one is teaching her how to cook she will be filing her nails asking him if it's sexy sweep na the guy dey sweep the whole place while she's chatting with her friends. She will even raise her legs for the man to sweep the sitting room and tell him to be careful so that dust doesn't touch her now the babe is at home. They are telling me to come and teach her how to cook.i said shebi shehas mom besides I hhave a baby to take care of. Work too is there. Moreover its none of my business. The time i was talking they said I should mind my business which i am doing and have been doing well |

Your own case is peculiar. You have invested in his life so you have a right to interfere but if you didn't do any of the above to make him what he is today and you are only related by blood and he tells you mind your business. My dear happily face front because when everything shele in eye go clear and he will understand what you have been saying since. For now he can't understand. Na experience go make him understand fast and perfectly too . I'll rather save all my shouting for wura when she becomes a teenager ![]() why should I become hyper over another person's life when my daughter is there ![]() RoyalRoy: |

cococandy: Is she as cute as thee too? Being a twin comes with many advantages.... And some disadvantages. My greatest gain as a twin is wrapped up in the saying "two heads are better than one". And the disadvantages? Comparisons, competitions and mistaken identity. Got more than enough "free beatings" in the earlier days, for crimes I didn't commit... Lollz. |
