lol.....if you paid her bride price,then why should you do that? I think a wife might be allowed by her husband to retain her father's name in his(husband's) name,but not the other way around.

That's not proper. There's a reason the surname is referred to as Father's name (colloquially).

Give me money.
Feed my family.
Propose to me
Pay my 'groom price'
Marry me
Put me in her own house
Make me a fulltime 'househusband'
Continue feeding, clothing and taking care of me and my family and finally
IMPREGNATE ME.

Inshort I'd just be a figure-head in that relationship.
