Gbawe:What do you mean by stakeholders? So in APC what exactly are you, a floor member who does not matter? I will surely vote PDP if they win the argument of who has something better to offer Nigerians and convert all the APC cells I control to PDP. I believe in common sense and not in following blindly. Buhari has nothing to offer Nigeria as it is aside witch hunting politicians. All he could say was production is down, electricity is down, no jobs without showing Nigerians what he intends to do to fix those issues. The floor is still open and I am watching keenly. |

blink182:"Stakeholder" refers to roles of everyone at all levels where they are required to play a part and are entitled to do so as relevant participants. It is only because we tend to be sentimental in Nigeria and that is why we do not see or acknowledge our responsibilities, roles and limits regarding encroaching in what is beyond our remit. Come the general election, you will be a stakeholder in who becomes your President and your duty will be to go out and vote. Will you allow any Party boss to demand you must vote for so and so candidate? You are not and never allowed to threaten and blackmail a political Party over the candidate they should field same as no one can bully you as per who to vote for. It is not done anywhere else in the world. It is Party stakeholders who choose Party candidates while the electorate go out to vote. Do you see the supporters of the Labour and conservative Parties in the UK telling, nay demanding, their respective Parties must choose certain candidates to contest the general election or they vote for another Party? What about the democrats and republicans in the USA? Please vote GEJ and the PDP because you cannot blackmail others to do your bidding in relation to a process the constitution of a Party does not allow you to have a say in let alone be making demands over. Your position is not tenable nor reasonable. I for example will be disappointed if the APC field Atiku but I will never threaten to vote for the PDP because there are still so many other influential offices to be fought for (Governorship, legislative et al) in consonance with my belief that the APC is the Party to deliver good leadership across all levels. The issue at hand is simple. You won't be allowed to tell the APC who to field. If their eventual choice is one you do not like then vote the PDP. |

blink182:Lol. Buhari publicising that rubbish isn't the smartest of move. Imagine all the top positions he has held and still he's asking the bank not to dishonor his cheque of just 27mil? If truly he doesn't have up to that, then he is the definition of FAILURE. |

Dopefiend:It is just a tragedy, a total gaffe. A presidential candidate who can't fund his ticket, how does he intend to fund his nation wide campaign? |

Gbawe:You have spent alot of time in the politics section, you should by now know how not to bother educating some set of people (tip: just their last comments before bothering to reply). |

Dopefiend:You have to question why he issued a cheque without checking if he has cleared funds to cover the cheque! That's basic responsible economics. Imagine a man who put his private account at risk of being overdrawn asking us to entrust the economy of our nation on him! |

barcanista:Yes Arrow anyone or anything that does not like APC/Buhari is Gej's kinsman. See how low you have fallen? Word on the streets of Nairaland say you used to be a reasonable rational individual, now you have gone rabid. |

patrickmuf:Because the rules for the approval of loans and repayment of same are universal. The don't. Change because the supposed" applicant" is a politician and former head of state of Nigeria. I honestly can not see how anyone can argue otherwise. If Buhari was telling the truth, then a corrupt act just occurred (KINDA PUTS WHAT GEJ WAS SAYING THE OTHER TIME IN CONTEXT "STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION" . |

"Senior lawyer, Femi Falana, has faulted the decision of a presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammad Buhari, to take out a bank loan to purchase his party’s intent form for the presidential race. Mr. Falana spoke on Thursday in Abeokuta at the 2014 Press Week of the Paramount F.M chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ogun State Council, on the topic, Current Security Challenges; Implications For 2015 Election. “That action of taking bank loan is indefensible. I have condemned it and political parties should do something about that. If you are obtaining loans for forms, what about elections? Elections cost billions in Nigeria and that should be discouraged,” Mr. Falana said." https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/170002-falana-blasts-buhari-over-presidential-form-loan.html |
