The All Progressives Congress has accused the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, of churning out lies to the public when he claimed his predecessor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, spent a whooping N50m on beds in his and his wife’s bedrooms at the newly built Ekiti State Government House. It challenged Fayose to release independently verifiable documentary evidence to proof his claims because no bed in the lodge cost more than N2m, adding that the money spent on the government house was less than N2bn. The APC in a statement entitled, “Fayose’s season of lies” by the State Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, on Sunday said Fayose had been churning out the lies to draw sympathy from the public and to discredit Fayemi who had done well. The party said, “This is how Mr. Fayose lied about a nonexistent N50m bed in the Government House when he knows there is no bed that is costlier than N2m in that lodge. Until corruption's made an offence punishable by death sentence, Nigeria shouldn't dream of moving an inch developmentally, with the current dispensation of avowed criminals at the helms of affairs! Even if that bed had cost just 1M and not 30M like the APC's wanting us to believe, how in the world is that ever justifiable? Mr Fayemi and all his political associates justifying this corrupt act should be thankful they are not in China, who the fu.c.k would have lived to tell this tales? |

Isiterere: Yes it truly does, hence the reason why it is utterly ridiculous to spend that amount on a mattress using our combined money amidst such poverty. All these leaders, from the President right down to the local chairmen just believe that getting into office is all about the acquisition of wealth at the expense of their followers. Here you are asking if this is too flamboyant for a governor, making it seem as though a governor is entitled to pilfer our common wealth by acquiring the very best of the best, while they lament simultaneously about lack of funds to pursue positive development. Below are the most luxurious mattress brands I know of and I still couldn't find a mattress worth 2 million Naira. 5 Likes
