I applied for pharmacy. no admission offered. medical lab is very professional and you can stand alone. work is easy to get with it. but chemistry though not bad is not professional. to enjoy chemistry u have to study upto phd but you can be so lucky to work in industry alternatively to an industrial chemist. all the job I see with chemistry are just teaching for now.

Yea that's true, smart move. But Mayojaspa, forgive me for asking too many questions, it's bcs I have interest in your case and I want to be sure there's no foul play anywhere perhaps something very important about DE Requirement apart from the ones earlier stated is not made opened by UI. Is your Chemistry degree B.Sc or B.Edu, Do you have your O'level @ one sitting or two sittings or may be there are pre-requisite undergraduate courses you didn't do while in sch. I'm concerned bcs chemistry is the bedrock of pharmacy and you should be considered b4 any other with your upper credit from a federal university (unilorin). It also depends on the available space and the no of DE students and their qualifications. Just let us know bcs you have the right to go to the dean and ask, if there's no bojuboju as they claim. I can volunteer to do that on ur behalf, but need the above info first so that others can contribute and learn from it. It's my Faculty, I shared my own experience @ the beginning of this page, I was admitted for Pharmacy but couldn't do registration bcs I used two sittings and one sitting was not even stated in the requirements. Since that time UI has been putting one sitting for Medicine and Pharmacy requirement. So, we need to know what is missing in your own application as good as it is.

Pls others that applied with B.Sc, HND, ND, ALevel, etc and are admitted, let's hear your views and experience for others to learn incase they want to re-apply. Thanks

Very true, UTME is easier. The list is a lot more than that of DE, you have a better chance of being given a wide range of courses aside from the one you applied for, unlike DE where ur initial qualification has already limited you to a fair few related disciplines. Also with DE, your chances depend hugely on the qualifications and grade of those who applied for the same course as you, and since there is limited space available, chances are quite slim (especially in the competitive departments), even with Distinction/First Class, chances are that some might have a higher CGP than you.

All in all, it's always worth a try, congrats to those who got in, remember, always look at the number of folks who didn't as a source of motivation, so don't lose focus. That's my two penny.

D only person whom UI should have just considered against all odds for admission is ME because of wat I've been thru...but since it hasn't worked dat way, it's for a reason...life just has to continue.

Lest I forget, my time here has given me d privilege to meet PERSONS that I would have loved to relate with one on one. People like Sigolisis, Adegab, Oluwooo, hormolorlah, hysobright, callmebeauty, shadexbabe, alaoabiodun, Gideonaire, Gbengem, brainwavy etcetera...but for d fact dat God knows best, we only propose...there's absolute decorum on this thread...so many mighty people have been affected badly.

Hello @ all in the house. Please , I plan applying for admission next year with both A' level and jamb utme ,is it advisable to choose u.I for both. What I mean is ,when a name comes out under utme (100 level list) can it disturb or prevent a persons name from being released with direct entry list (later into 200level). I humbly await your opinions before making up my mind and going for utme form. Thanks
