tochman:Where did you get this from? emmasege:This is why all these religious sentiments do not pay anyway. You first agreed that the voted to elect a Christian governor, yet you say the subtly eliminated him? Are you saying that 'they' planned the death of Yakowa & Azazi in Bayelsa Or the pilot that was a Muslim was planted too?All these religion talk is trash IMO, only permanent interests matter to ALL. |

It is so appalling that there are people who think like this? What is the relationship between religion and the presidency? Please learn to address the issues that actually matter and can improve the current situation. Learn to ask the right questions? Islamisation of Nigeria is Highly unlikely. Islamisation of the northern Nigeria is fairly likely but at the same time we are living in civilised times (Thank God). We wouldn't want a repeat of hitler in nigeria now, would we? The more they push for islamisation, they create valid reasons for UN or international bodies to be involved and that would only result in them being wiped off effectively. This is a fight for the rights of nations and not the institution of beliefs. If we have to fight we will but Nigeria will never be islamised. WHY? Because Nigeria was not built on the foundations of religious beliefs but on the blood of brave men who fought for an independent republic and the freedom of the people. The fight the fathers of the country died for. They can have the North and their people (bordered after benue) and leave Nigerians in peace please. "The rights to fundamental human right is of outmost importance. The people of a nation should with the freedom of rights, only be answerable to the constitutional laws and not that of a single idea or single entity. Any threat to international prosperity and world peace should be swiftly and effectively eliminated". |

gists:This post reminds me of how easy it is to wrongly make inferences and conclusions from apparently real observations. Scientists conditioned a from to jump into water anytime a drum is beaten. They decided to break all the limbs of the frog and beat the drum but the frog didn't jump. They then concluded that breaking the limbs of a frog makes it deaf and unable to obey command. Great observations but wrong inferences. |

Is this thread still open? enny5:I am surprised that your are not appalled by FFK trying to instigate religious acrimony between the populace but you are appalled by my little attempt to show his hypocrisy. I and many others completely agree with you that islamisation of the country is highly unlikely, not when we have the senate and the house of rep (BTW leadership of those two chambers are largely held by Christians). But there are many who are not like us and will (probably have) fallen for this antics. I also think rational Nigerians should be concerned when politicians especially those who should be answering efcc questions are needlessly toying with our consciousness with this religion craps for the mere purpose of winning election. Time and time again in the history of this planet, we have seen how horrible the consequences of such instigation can be. I have said this before and I will repeat it. It is to PDP disadvantage to play religious politics. I deliberately limited the governors section to south west because the religion of who govern our states has never truly been in our consciousness (this may well be true for SS and SE) until these present set of mofos in PDP drummed it into our reality. Suddenly, the faith a political aspirant now supersedes his/her competence and integrity. We are now seeing campaign poster of Jesus handing a mase to an aspirant. For this monumental crime alone, PDP should be rejected in south west - and other regions. One will expect a truly national party that has the interest of the country at heart and has ruled for a decade and a half (imagine a boy or girl growing up with this mentality for 15yrs!) to campaign with what it has achieved vs what it promised and what it hope to do if given the chance. I am sorry I tender no apology if this thread doesn't go down well with some people. |

@Kelvin what a glowing assessment of the political 'rimpogrom ' in the words of honourable Patrick, prevalent in this country where Nigeria's idea of Democratic practices is akin to "witch hunting" where Maradonna's come to ball in politics. |
