“7 things negative people (Like APC in Nigeria) will do to you. They will...

1. Demean your value;

2. Destroy your image

3. Drive you crazily!

4. Dispose your dreams!

5. Discredit your imagination!

6. Defame your abilities and

7. Disbelieve your opinions!

Nigerians should Stay away from negative people!”

Nigerians should Stay away from APC, they are malicious
All of them are the same (APC & PDP). Apc has tendency to do these. But these are what pdp also have achieved so far in their 16 years of ruling Nigeria. Let there be change. As for me I want a new face in the central govt affair (not necessarily from apc but definitely not from pdp). If at all he did not perform (we are used to underperfomance from pdp). Let there be a change first.

So Mr Intelligent OP, as intelligent as you are you compare 2 years tenure with GEJ's 6 or so years? If IBB did not destroy Nigeria by taking over this wouldnt have been an argument at all. Lastly DONT EVER QUOTE CBN, DMO, etc ANYWHERE U EXPECT TO SOUND LIKE A HUMAN BEING WITH A HEAD. I keep saying many of these 80's kids are worthless in their sense of assessment, so you go and copy some nonsense from DMO and take as fact?

I observed you avoided talking about PTF under Buhari, why are you silent on that? isnt that more recent? Please educate us on his dismal performance there, am waiting

Tell me all you want, I don't care.
One thing is sure the General Manager of Bokoharam (GMB) aka Buhari should not tell NIGERIANS about Democracy 'cos he is not a democrat.
He is a COUP-PLOTTER and a COUPIST.
And sensible Nigerians don't vote for Coup Plotters. He won't smell victory, he will cry again

GEJ TILL 2019
Your ignorance of nigeria history is pitiable. GMB never initiated any coup, instead he was selected to lead Nigeria by high ranking military officers. Don't just open your mouth and start blabbing rubbish

You got it all wrong.. the figure i quoted wasn't reserve.. it was total debt at the end of Shagari Administration which you claimed that Buhari cleared with few days. Nothing in my write up made mention of reserve so I don't know where you go it from. I repeat, read properly, nobody ever made mention of reserve.

The two key question for you are

1. Did Buhari, as you said, cleared Nigeria debt within few day of coming to power? do you you still stand by that after reading the link to the debt management office?

2. Do you still stand by your "fact" that Buhari initiated the construction of Warri and Kaduna refineries after reading the extract fron NNPC website?

You are an intelligent guy and I expect a good reference from you

(Regarding no 3 and 4, I only highlighted them to show that Buhari wasn't the Messiah who saved the economy from total collapse.. other than that, I had no further argument)
I dunno why u're jst bothering ursef wit GMB sympathisers. He (GMB) thinks d same nigeria with population of less than 100M,he govern wen he was a dictator is still dsame as d nigeria of 2day wit close to 170M people who are more conscious scientifically, technologically, and more politically oriented. who nw have freedom of information unlike in d time of d military. Well I agree wit you about all these thing that was enforced by the buhari led military government and thank God for the late Gen tunde idiagbon who made sure all this things were enforced (may his gentle soul rest in peace)but one thing you must have forgotten about is that buhari ruled in a military government where the military could carry out any decision with out the consent of any house and no bill had to be passed and the judiciary will completely work according to the military arrangements and where by if you try to sabotage the government you were either jailed for as you said a 100-300 yrs let's simply say life in jail (pls coate me wronge if I am) or ur simply executed bt that is not the case of Gej a man surrounded by lions, tigers and bears and still with all the pressure that is put on him we are still moving,is it the economy issues, joblessness, neglect of youths, tribalism, political killings and so on just name it and tell me what government past and present is not guilty of any of these offences then I'd give you a round of aplauds mind you this is democracy nd I'm sure when the time comes you would be number one person to criticize this same Mohammedu buhari that you are praising,of cause now we are nigerians and one thing we knw how to do best is to criticize rather than being supportive and patriotic.

Its a typical case of:
Jonathan "promised" to build 3 refineries in Lagos, Bayelsa and Kogi states. He did nothing.

A new government come onboard and built the 3 refineries. Who takes the credit?

That is like somebody receiving stolen goods olodo

Be it at that, if Buhari as a major general and the most senior among the coupists was in the dark then this shows that the man was a failure in carrying out his responsibility to defend the office and person of the commander and chief of the armed forces.

Any way you paint it, it shows how silly and opportunistic this useless man was and still is.
5) Number 5 and 6 will be discussed when it comes to the corruption in GMB regime.

Petroleum infrastructure

Thankfully, they have changed the lie from GMB building two refineries as head of state in 20 months to signing the contract as NNPC chairman. However, keep a close eye to the lie (bolded) of barcanista and other Buhari supporters “initiated”.

It is on record that GMB initiated nothing, he only signed contract as NNPC chairman as the decision to build the 2 refineries was initiated in 1974 when Buhari was nowhere in the government. Here is extracts from NNPC website:

REFINERY PROJECT DECISION
The decision to construct the third Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) refinery in Kaduna was taken in 1974 along with that of the second NNPC refinery located at Warri. However, it was decided that work would commence on the construction of the third refinery whenever the projection of the consumption of petroleum products justifies it.
By early 1975, in view of the fuel shortages experienced then, the Federal Government decided that work on the third refinery should be advanced. It was envisaged that the refinery was to be a simple hydro skimming type refinery in order to meet up with the fuel demand then”
http://www.nnpcgroup.com/nnpcbusiness/subsidiaries/krpc.aspx

Conclusion
Buhari neither cleared Nigeria’s debt nor initiated any refinery in Nigeria.

Part 2 will be: what happened between Buhari, IMF, Paris club and Saudi Arabia loan plus the selective fight against corruption by Buhari.. coming soon
Facts only...
I wouldn't want us to start arguing back and forth. Now when you play the video you posted, please skip to 2:44 - 2:56 I quote " The main worry for western financiers now is Nigeria's $15 billion worth of external debt, so today's prompt payment of $50 million dollars in rescheduled interest has pleased the city and helped the new regime economic prospect"

How is payment of rescheduled interest equivalent to payment and clearing of Nigeria's external debt and making us debt free country? The video agreed with my statement that Buhari did not make Nigeria a debt free country.. as a mater of fact, he left more debt than he met. (I will explain the reason for the payment of interest on external debt by Buhari administration later)

I wonder what is the most reliable source, you or Debt Management Office and CBN annual report.

As per the refineries, You failed to provide us evidence that the two refineries were initiated by GMB. I don't take yahoo group as a valid reference, from the NNPC website you posted, the only date there is 1978 when the refinery was commissioned! I will repeat again

The decision to construct the third Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) refinery in Kaduna was taken in 1974 along with that of the second NNPC refinery located at Warri

Buhari was never in the picture when the decision to build those two refineries was taken. It is like saying, because the the Kaduna refinery was commissioned in 1980, it was initiated by shagari... FACTS ONLY!

Which wonderful achievement is credited to Buhari?

Can you compare Buhari with a sickly Yaradua (from PDP) who spent roughly 3years in office but implemented far reaching civil service reforms and put an end to Niger-delta militancy with an amnesty offer. WHAT DID BUHARI ACHIEVE?

I'm just sorry for all you children that were probably born in 1985, yet you come here to defend Buhari. undecided
So WAI, curbing of excessive importation, BUHARISM(guess you have never heard of that), rejecting IMF loan meant to devalue the naira, reducing inflation, curtailing oil theft, using counter trade policy, exporting above OPEC quota and many others in less than two years are not credible.
What did ur beloved GEJ accomplish in his first two yrs

First, you said Buhari played no role.

You later questioned how could a Refinery be signed in 77 and commissioned in '78

Later you said you don't know when the contract was signed.

And Now you are saying it could be the Minister.....

Let me Come In:

1. GMB was instrumental as it was during his supervision that the Refineries in Warri and Kaduna was signed/built.

2. I am sure you are clear

3. Buhari signed the dotted lines. It was entirely under his jurisdiction

4. GMB was the Petroleum Minister since 1976 and also NNPC Chairman(which he assumed in 77). He held both roles till july 1979(if I'm not wrong)

Thank Yoù

No one is saying GEJ is the best and neither is Buhari a saint. Just that GEJ is a lesser evil compared to Buhari. Thanks
Lesser evil indeed! Depends on what Nigeria's greatest problem is, in your assessment. If corruption is, then you have a reason to be worried. GEJ has re-classified corruption: mere stealing, stealing and corruption. Recall, Stella Oduah was granted leave to further her political career in spite of all the noise of her involvement in...... SLS was given a premature terminal leave because he blew the whistle on the missing $20b. The GMD of NNPC was removed when he wanted to start singing. Not to talk of several other instances of high-handedness by your messiah. If for reasons bothering on devotion, you call GMD a religious fanatic, I leave you to your definition. Ultimately, you are entitled to a vote like I am. Do what you like with yours, I know what to do with mine

I think maybe we should rewind to you initial statement which you presented as fact

I will ask you again, with the evidence provided, do you still stand by your fact that Buhari initiated the Warri and Kaduna refineries? Please, go through my post here, I have always highlighted the keyword, initiated.

My simple argument is that he did not initiate any refinery as NNPC chairman... Fact number 1

He did not sign the contract for Warri refinery ... fact number 2

The question of who signed the contract is subjective, I could say it was signed by the petroleum minister, that is if there was one then. Since we do not have the document, it is very difficult to say who signed the contract on-behalf of Nigerian government. Nowhere in the report did it say that the contract was between NNPC and CHIYODA CHEMICAL ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF YOKOHAMA.
serious man-marking going on here... Hehehe..no space for manuevering..lolz

1. You didn't even state that Nigeria wasn't having debt as at when GMB took over. Only claiming that Shagari left reserve. Let me educate you on fiscal policy of government.
- It is VERY possible for a Government to have external reserve and still be indebted. Jonathan's Government is HIGHLY Indebted yet, it still have external reserve.

I never saw anywhere where the OP said he was comparing GEJ's tenure to GMB's tenure. He said he was gonna refute some lies told by some people on this forum, and I think he actually succeeded. He probably didn't see any lies with the PTF thing you've asked about. He was concerned with the lies about the economy, debt profile and the construction of refineries. And I think he made a valid case.

As for your problem with the DMO and CBN as a source of information, if I wanted information about your family, should I take your neighbours words about it or should I take it from your family?
Re: The Many Lies Of Buhari And APC Supporters by lilsoulbigcity(m): 1:24pm On Nov 06, 2014
Lets examine another lies from Buhari supporters on economy, this time by Ola Idowu http://saharareporters.com/2014/10/23/if-buhari-easy-defeat-why-fear-ola%E2%80%99-idowu

Quoting 6 paragraphs before the end of his If Buhari was easy to defeat, why the fear? essay

1. If Buhari paid off $4 billion of or foreign debt, how come the debt was higher than it was when he left office?

2. Shagari didn't borrow $15 billion, it was total debt before he left office, meaning, his borrowing plus the borrowing of previous government

3. It is on record that Shagari government refused to follow the IMF guidelines, including devaluation of Naira, the same thing Buhari supporter is using to hype him up

4. The inflation of 40% happened in 1984, that is during Buhari administration

5. Another big lie of the century, Nigeria never, and I repeat, Never operated budget surplus under Buhari!! The only times Nigeria had budget surplus were in 1971, 1972, 1995 and 1996. How these people can look people in their face and tell blatant lies just to sell their candidate is alarming. Nigeria's deficit under Buhari stood at N3.3 billion in 1983, N2.6 billion in 1983 and N3 billion in 1985

I will repeat again, and we can go over this as many times as you want today, The decision to build the two refineries wasn't taken by Buhari, He did not sign the contract for Warri refinery and the name of who signed the contract for Kaduna refinery is subjective because we do not have the document. Giving Buhari the accolade as initiator of those refineries is a slap on the face of those who made the initial decision.

One final question for you: Did Buhari initiate the construction of the two refineries as you wrote?, yes or no and we will move on.

Thanks for your time and all the best
You have said many times that Buhari did not intitiate/sign and the decision to build was not taken by him. Then provide these.

1 Who took the decision?
2. Who initiated?
3.Who signed?
