Her place is simply by the side...To assist: to suggest: to help...Not To affirm.

It depends on the circumstance or occasion it is being said as it could constitute different meanings.

I dnt understand your dis pls. How do you mean by stay in her place, is it for her to stay in her own parents huz or wat?

Where is her place?

From my experience, a woman being told by a man to "stay in your place" meant that the woman should stay submissive to a man and not challenge his authority as head of household or attempt to men's perception of superiority over women - deeming them as inferior to men.

Others may have a different perception though.
