He wants to use the car for fish business so he'd have enough money to marry you eventually. Just incase you didn' know, fish business is real good business. So, rather than complain, support him in his ''sell-fish'' business. And I bet you, you'd be the happiest for it.

By the way, is it now a crime to trek around? Trekking is the cheapest form of excercise and I love it. If you get tired of trekking, there are cabs around, charter one to drive you around. That's why they're there...
