As much as I'm not happy about the international break, I hope its a chance for some of these injured players to return. The likes of Falcao, Evans,Jones, Rafael in particular, Who all seem to have weird unspecified injuries. We really need to be pushing on from here now. |

MrTA:4 players would be back by the time we face arsenal @ the emirates. we are not far off from top 4 now. if we can put a run of victories together for 4-5 games, we would be 2nd. newcastle are now behind us. 2 weeks ago, they were hovering above relegation waters. 4 straight league wins & they are in the top half of the league table. we should be able to beat arsenal. |

Today, following our important win on Saturday, it seems a bit easier to be here writing these lines about what has happened during the week. The feeling of scoring a goal in Old Trafford is nearly impossible to describe, but I can tell you that is very special… It’s like an explosion of joy shared with everybody in the stadium, the players and the crowd. Even more if your goal secures the three points! Winning this weekend was very important. We came from a few weeks without victories and these three points take us near the teams at the top, and encourage us to keep working hard and improving our game. Obviously, we know there is still a lot to do in order to get where we want to, but it’s easier when you win. We are already thinking about the next game, and it’s a big one, in London against Arsenal. I hope we win again and show consistency in our results. I take this opportunity to send a big hug to all of you and, as always, to thank you for your tireless support at all times. I always try to have good things to share with you and I hope to keep talking about them on this blog. See you next Monday. Hugs! Juan |

MrTA:Those days we used to have these kind of tough fixtures on paper but on the field SAF will win 6 or 7 out of them. Mostly in the run in. |

coogar:Harsh, Moyes is a good coach. Just not ready for a club of our size. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 10:41am On Nov 11, 2014 |
elampiro:and roberto martinez proved moyes' accolades @ everton were grossly overrated. he's a virus of a manager. 12 seasons at everton & he won nothing. MrTA:moyes isn't a good coach! any manager that sanctioned £300k/week for rooney is not a good manager. any manager that plunged serial league champions to 7th position isn't a good coach. amodu shuaibu & onigbinde are all better than moyes! |

The Manchester United striker has held the Netherlands captaincy since 2013 but a poor run of form for club and country has led some to suggest he should relinquish the armband Robin van Persie has hit back at criticism of his Netherlands captaincy and insists that he still merits the armband given to him by Louis van Gaal – even though the veteran coach overlooked him as Manchester United skipper. Van Persie has held the Oranje armband since 2013, and led his country to a third-placed finish in the 2014 World Cup, though Wayne Rooney was chosen ahead of him as United captain. However, a poor start to the country’s Euro 2016 qualifying campaign – they sit six points behind joint Group A leaders Iceland and Czech Republic – coupled with a disappointing run of form at Old Trafford has led some to suggest he should give up the armband, though Van Persie insists he pays no attention to his critics. "I have the feeling I'm in the middle of the group. The critics don't hurt me, because I get appreciated by people who can really judge,” he said. “I receive the appreciation and feel it every day. The Netherlands is a country with a lot of opinions. Those get harder and harder, increasingly ruthless. That's a trend. I have to deal with it. “Everyone can have his opinion. That's the world we live in. I was chosen by Louis van Gaal on the basis of who I am and what I did and am doing. I don't see why I should change." Van Persie does, however, admit that he feels “responsible” for the Netherlands’ dismal start to their qualifying campaign, which has seen them lose 2-0 to Iceland and 2-1 to Czech Republic, though he insists so-called crisis talks with manager Guus Hiddink were simply "honest" conversations. "As a player I feel responsible, that has nothing to do with me being captain. We want to win and that didn't happen,” he said. "We all feel responsible. We're winners and used to win. It's painful we're in this situation. We must give a good example, first Wednesday against Mexico and Sunday against Latvia." When asked about Hiddink, he added: "Those were other talks than we're used to having. Usually we talk about brillliant goals and fun moments. "But now nothing good has happened at Oranje and you have different conversations. Not negative, but we must be honest and we are honest." http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/4961/international-football/2014/11/11/6030641/van-persie-hits-back-at-critics-van-gaal-chose-me-for-what-i?CMPID=FBUK_141111_VanPersie |

elampiro:they play proper football & he qualified them for europe. his everton side got their first victory at OT last season & they did a double over united.....something moyes couldn't manage in his entire career at the merseyside. moyes' picture should be put next to the word failure in the dictionary. |

coogar:How is beating Man United home and away something to celebrate, when Moyes' 10-man had already beaten Man City, and they had always beaten mighty City where others big teams have struggled. Moyes beat United in Carling cup, and he ruined our title in 2011/12. I don't see what Martinez has achieved in Everton. Moyes used to go to Europe and had even finished fourth place (UCL place) many years ago. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 12:46pm On Nov 11, 2014 |
elampiro:this is another reason we have to question your football pedigree. moyes never managed to beat any of the traditional top 4 teams in his 11 seasons at everton away from home. that's a damning statistic that just tells you he is a failure. https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1170807_10151917037645832_1537436219_n.png 18 points from 135 points available against the top 4 teams is just a massive disgrace. who is man city? when did city become a top team in england? we are taking of a manager's horrendous record away from home against top teams since 2002 & you are taking man city who until 11/12 were a mid-table team. I don't see what Martinez has achieved in Everton. Moyes used to go to Europe and had even finished fourth place (UCL) place many years ago.martinez won FA cup with wigan - a lowly rated team. moyes won nothing at everton for 11 seasons. that alone tells me moyes is a microcosm of what martinez is. compare the type of football martinez has imposed @ everton to the medieval football moyes played while there for 11 seasons. even everton players said moyes' methods were poor in comparison to what martinez is doing. |

Moyes finished top 4( 2004-2005)he is a good manager and we should wish him well at Sociedad and move on. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 1:08pm On Nov 11, 2014 |
SIRcumalot:that was because liverpool threw their league games to concentrate on the champions league which they won. chelsea did that in 11/12 too & spurs/newcastle finished above chelsea. moyes is a fücking horrible manager. no style, no substance. he doesn't even have a clue how to win games without deploying gorilla tactics of stifling games & scoring from setplays. |

coogar:Well, LVG must be worse than those two because he just handed the same Rooney captaincy + permanent first team shirt! |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 1:33pm On Nov 11, 2014 |
RuuDie:rooney was the only candidate in the preseason. RVP never made the preseason & it would be wrong to hand it over to him without having seen his performance for united. who else is rooney's senior? only fletcher....and fletcher can't be fit to save a chimp's life in a game reserve. united's lack of senior players handed rooney the captaincy, not van gaal. had evra, rio or vidic stayed on then rooney wouldn't have ever been made the captain. i repeat, moyes is a monumental failure! |

coogar:* I thought Moyes defeated Arsenal last season? * This chart speaks nothing. The question is what position did Moyes met Everton and where did he raised them to? * As at when Moyes took over, Everton were in the same relegation with Bradford City and Coventry. I will like you to show the points won by these two teams against Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. coogar:Fluke win and he got relegated too. Wigan is yet to recover from that. This is not even supposed to come into the discussion because we are talking aboug the two managers achievement in Everton. Talking about other clubs: Moyes took over as Preston North End manager in January 1998, replacing Gary Peters as the club struggled in Division Two and were in danger of relegation. He had spent much of his playing career preparing for management, taking coaching badges at just 22 years of age and compiling notes on managers he had played under, their techniques and tactics.[13] Preston avoided relegation at the end of the 1997–98 season and reached the Division Two play-offs the following season, where they were beaten by Gillingham at the semi-final stage. The following season, Moyes guided Preston to the Division Two title and a promotion to Division One. An even greater achievement perhaps was to steer Preston into the Division One play-offs the season after that, with largely the same squad. Preston lost 3–0 to Bolton Wanderers in the 2001 Football League First Division play-off Final, missing out on promotion to the Premier League. One month later, Moyes signed a new five-year contract with the club.[14] Towards the end of the following season, he left for Everton, to take over from fellow Scotsman Walter Smith in March 2002. Moyes took charge of Preston for 243 matches, of which his team won 113, lost 63 and drew 67. coogar:Nothing has changed. Those players were carried away last season, but the reality is dawn on them this season. Moyes was just a victim of circumstance in Man United. I don't blame those players, when an elephant falls, even ants and rodents would step on it. |

coogar:Cleverley also worn the arm band and he is Rooney's senior as far as Man United is concerned. You even celebrated it here that Cleverley was given the arm band while Rooney was overlooked. Rooney simply out performed the rest in the build up to the season. |

elampiro:was it an away game? * This chart speaks nothing. The question is what position did Moyes met Everton and where did he raised them to?he had 11 years to do that. if he couldn't build something out of everton in 11 years then he's a mollusc. he was also lucky to have rooney in the academy. selling rooney for £30m in 2004 helped him with liquid cash to buy moderately decent players to have the thrust to compete in 04/05 season. * As at when Moyes took over, Everton were in the same relegation with Bradford City and Coventry. I will like you to show the points won by these two teams against Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.he had 11 years to build a squad. 11 years = 3 rounds of squad rebuilding. most transitions last for 3-4 seasons. so what's the biggie in what moyes has done when he couldn't even win any domestic cup in 12 years at everton? Fluke win and he got relegated too. Wigan is yet to recover from that. This is not even supposed to come into the discussion because we are talking aboug the two managers achievement in Everton.where's moyes' fluke win? martinez managed a fluke win in the little time he was the manager of wigan & uncle moyes couldn't manage the same feat in 12 seasons at everton? something portsmouth & other smaller clubs managed to win? ![]() Talking about other clubs: Moyes took over as Preston North End manager in January 1998, replacing Gary Peters as the club struggled in Division Two and were in danger of relegation. He had spent much of his playing career preparing for management, taking coaching badges at just 22 years of age and compiling notes on managers he had played under, their techniques and tactics.[13] Preston avoided relegation at the end of the 1997–98 season and reached the Division Two play-offs the following season, where they were beaten by Gillingham at the semi-final stage.moyes is a failure...... none of us here would have plunged defending champions into 7th position. hell, not even our haters(fans of arsenal, chelsea, city) etc would have managed it if they tried. moyes took a strong united squad that nearly defeated madrid, a squad that won the league by 11 points into 7th position. the colour of failure is david moyes! Nothing has changed. Those players were carried away last season, but the reality is dawn on them this season. Moyes was just a victim of circumstance in Man United. I don't blame those players, when an elephant falls, even ants and rodents would step on it.moyes is a failure. he was not any victim of circumstance - he failed and got every decision wrong. he was warned, advised but he wanted to do it his own way. did SAF not warn him to keep the backroom staff? why did he bring his useless assistants from everton to a big club like united? united went from being a perennial european team to the one that cannot even feature in any eüropean game. we will lose our seeding status next season, all thanks to this odious idïotic manager that ebola should have claimed last season. i dunno about y'all - but please....let's forget the nightmare called moyes. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 1:59pm On Nov 11, 2014 |
elampiro:how's cleverley rooney's senior? why do you always lie like this? cleverley that only graduated as a senior squad member in 2009 was rooney's senior? darren fletcher is the only senior of rooney & this is why he's the assistant captain. they are the oldest senior team members & it's got nothing to do with performance. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 2:04pm On Nov 11, 2014 |
coogar:I don't have time for these long stories. All I see is that he had 11 years blablabla. The managers who were struggling relegation with Everton then, where are they now? Moyes lifted Everton, Martinez demoted Wigan. I won't be surprised to see Everton fighting relegation once under Martinez Moyes players start getting old. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 2:09pm On Nov 11, 2014 |
coogar:Cleverley has been in Man United since 2001. So he could pass as an old member. Older in the club than Rooney. The reason he wore the arm band over such players like Evans, Young, Welbeck, Mata, Chicharito, Rafael, Jones, Smaling. Rooney captaincy had nothing to do with performance? Even when Gaal pinned it on performance? lol |
