Hope d person has paid for the flight ticket before sending you the reference number, because usually that reference number is used for online payment or payment at d bank then print out d receipt, at d airport u present d receipt before they give u boarding pad. Don't know they've changed d procedure.

The wings appear to shake when the plane is taxiing as it rides on the joiners between the runway concrete slabs, when it is banking, in turbulence and when the brakes are applied when landing. It appears firm at other times.

I love to sit by the window on the wings. I think it gives the best view. I prefer the exit row seat (A11 or 12/F11 or 12 on the 737-400) in economy because it has leg room. However, one has to take the responsibility of manning the exit door in case of emergency.

Always pick an A seat if you want to seat by the window

Firstly, upon your arrival at the airport, ask for the Arik Air check-in counter. Present your reference number to them and explain everything to them. They will book you in and print out your ticket or e-ticket for you.
Secondly, they will direct you to the queue. Stand patiently until it get to your turn and you are checked in. Then security check will be conducted on you and other passengers. Please comply with the rules and regulations e.g., take off your shoes, belts e.t.c.
After the security/immigration check, you will be directed to the waiting area: you will be here for a while, then your flight will be announced as at when due and you will be asked to board. Please pay attention to all announcements and if you are not clear on something, get up and ask the airport staff or security in the hall you are... It is necessary to come along with your passport and identification documents, sometimes, domestic airlines request for them before boarding.
It is wise to travel light (no carry too much load). Be on your guard always, don't give a penny to the touts (agberos) and people wearing security or airport uniforms. Act as if you ve travelled by air before.
Make sure your host will be at the abuja airport to pick you up upon arrival. Airline food is tasteless, if u must, then eat little.
It's been ages I travelled through Murtala Muhammed Airport, so I can't help further. Journey mercies dear. Endeavour to get to the airport 1 hour before your flight.. checking in can take time. Get there quickly, finish off and then wait for departure... Lates breeds hurry and that is unhealthy.

Please make sure you get to the airport at 6:00 am for your 7:30 am flight, especially as a first timer.

(1) Go directly to Arik Counter

(2) Tender your reference number in return for your boarding pass.

(3) Go to immigration check, you'll be cleared to board.

(4) Go to the lounge and wait for the announcement of your flight, check on the boarding pass you should see your flight number E.G. AJ304

(5) Once inside, check your boarding pass for your seat number E.G B23. At this time you should ask for assistance. It doesn't hurt.

You'll also find it difficult to use your seat belt, once again you need to ask, it really doesn't matter.

OP,just to add to whts ppl have been sayng,it's very important,don't forget to eat onions in the morning before going to Airport and ask to seat beside the pilots,they could tell you routes to France and show u the location of sambisa forest, remember to buy kulikuli nd sisipelebe because your flight is not stopping at okene or jeba,I always buy them whenever I'm traveling to Germany.

Let's take it step by step. ..

Arrive at the airport early.

As much as I love to fly, I almost always get airplane headache. I wish I could author a thread about this. A lot of people experience this but not many report it. This is because it mostly disappears about an hour or so after landing.

It is partly due to the disparity in pressure between pressurized cabin and inside of your ears which helps you maintain balance. Also, changes in altitude aggravates the headache and unbalance.

So it is not uncommon to have blocked ears and/or migraine, pains on the forehead, as if your head is gonna tear. It can sometimes be unbearable. But I doubt it has killed anyone.

Chew gum or pretend to chew sth or use earplugs to reduce this effect. You can plug your ears with earpiece too, but you can be sure the cabin crew will frown at this.
