We got to the place,then Ik dialed his number...
While we sat at the big mango tree i looked around as we waited for him to come pick us from the junction.
I noticed the place was almost covered with bush and you could barely see anyone..
I prayed he wouldn't show up dressed in traditional attire..
"Guy,what if this man wear read come carry yeye staff with human skull come out,how e go be "i asked ik

Immediately his phone rang,he looked around till he spotted the man.
He wore a raggy plain trouser and a big long sleeve shirt, he was average in height and dark in completion ,he looked like he was at his late fourty
We walked up to him and greeted each other
I noticed he had this Calaber accent.
After shaking hands he turned and we joined him, closely we followed him ,i noticed people trying to avoid us, some barely looked at us and i got nervous.
I really hate superstition but my lack of patience was getting the better part of me.
Finally he stopped at a local bar and ordered for Palm wine, then a much older man brought the palm wine gave us glass cups but i and ik rejected.
The Babalawo would sip a glass full of palm wine and brag about being the greatest medicine man in history and that we were too little to follow him to his shrine that's why he rather brought us to a palm wine joint .
I couldn't imagine myself in a shrine so it was ok with me.
We told him about my problem and he assured me that its done already
"All you have to do is pay 20,000 now then when the maga pays you bring the remaining 30,000 ,dont even think about joking with me except you want to die young"he threatened
"Ok baba"i said with my voice shaking
"Did you bring the money " he asked
"No baba" my heart was beating faster "i would bring it tomorrow " i said
"That means i cant commence " the expression in his face changed "theirs a bank atter the junction, you can still withdraw and pay the earlier the better"
I should have noticed how desperate he was but instead i quickly went to the bank accompanied by Ik...
"Guy,my account shapeless " i said to ik on the way

We got the money and returned to the bar
He had already taken three more bottles of palm wine, we sat down and handed the money to him.
"Wait leme go and do some incantations in my shrine, i'll be back soon" he said while he counted the money .
"No problem " we both said
We sat and waited for him for about an hour and half and he finally showed up with an envelope
"Take this envelope, open it in the midnight by 12:00 , you heard me " he asked
"Yes baba" i said
" pay for the palm wine snd ypu can go".he said
We paid and left.
