On saturday we were praising them for beating congo 2-0. People were saying team spirit and some went further by sending messages saying we should please vote enyeama and that he is worth bbc african footballer of the year. And now that it happened we are quick to say they should disband the team, sack the coach because they didn't play well

Well said OP, I think d guy dat won d under 17 for us deserves d super eagles job with many of those promising under 17 lads. No foreign coach needed. Nigeria as a country of 170 million people, fielding a standard 23 man national team is not sps to b an issue in d 1st place, but err'thang na politics......why sack bolaji abdullahi d estwhile sport minister in d place? Me personal see an outstanding football player in d our present crop of eagles, maybe I.K uche due to his spanish exploits.....oda na right offs.

IN ONE THREAD, I STRESSED THE NEED FOR OVERHAULING IN ALL DEPT OF THE SE N COACHING CREW. DO NOT EXPECT MUCH FROM A CLUELESS COACH. IF KESHI WAS GOOD, THEN WE WOULD HAVE SEEN A BETTER TACTIC IN THE SECOND HALF OF PLAY BUT NO.

IN RECENT PAST, SA NATIONAL TEAM WASN'T WORKING N PRODUCING RESULT FOR THE NATION. WHAT DID THEY DO? THEY SIMPLY DROPPED THE ENTIRE TEAM AND REPLACE THEM WITH (I THINK THE YOUNGER SQUAD) A FAR MORE ZEALOUS PLAYERS. NOW THEY ARE GETTING THE RESULTS. THAT IS WHAT WE CALL OVERHAULING IN FOOTBALL.

BUT IN THE CASE OF SE, THE PLAYERS ARE NOT DEDICATED, NO ZEAL AND THE DON'T HAVE A MOTIVATOR IN THE FIELD OF PLAY. WAY BACK GINGER COULD COME FROM OUR JAY-JAY, OLISEH, KANU N THE LIKES BUT THESE DAYS ALL WE SEE IS MIKEL EITHER QUARRELING WITH ONAZI OR ENYEAMA. ITS JUST SO UNFORTUNATE THAT WHILE WE RANT HERE, THEY KEEP DOING THE WORST. OUR OPINION HERE IS WORTHLESS.

What r u sayin? Even in Chelsea he is no longer relevant. Mikel is a player dat comes on to play defence game wen we are leadin, but the past 2 or 3 seasons, Chelsea's pattern of play has changed. It is now an attack minded team. Even when they are leadin they play attacking football. I guess u didn't notice both games Chelsea has drawn dis season in d EPL,Chelsea tried to play defensive after scoring a goal;against both Manchester Clubs, u'll notice a certain Mikel was brought in. Dat means they r naw changin from attack mode to defensive mode which didn't work out, but u saw against Liverpool even after d 2 1 scoreline they still pressed forward not bringing on Mikel dis time n d result is wat u got.
Bros, i undastand u want to b sympathetic to d cos of Mikel, but d truth z dat Chelsea must let him go now. We don't need him any longer. Mind u,#Ama_Chelsea _fan

The only person left to sack keshi is Mr President because he is the one who nullified NFF decision of Keshi's sack. NFF is not to blame because they have sacked keshi a long time but presidential pardon given to keshi brought us to this level. For any change to continue let GEJ handle the wheels because he feels he knows to much. This is just one of the pains and consequences of tolerating government interferance into our football

I am a strong supporter of the president but if it's true that he overrode the decision of NFF to sack Keshi, then he(the president) owes the nation a public apology. On this particular issue, he got it all wrong.

A team and country that depend on fasting, prayers and good luck to succeed instead of hard work is a failure.
Ask great footballers and great economy's of this world.
its only in Nigeria.

Hello Niaralanders,

I am of opinion that this present national team should be disbanded irrespective of the outcome of the ongoing match between Congo and Nigeria. The team lacks cohesion, individual skills, and above all,the technical crew is no longer competent to handle the national team. Stephen Keshi and his men destroyed the same team they built 2 years ago. 48 minutes of no meaningful shot on target from the Eagles!!! How long shall we continue to swallow the bitter pills? I am tired of this particular team and everything it represents.

I want us to build a team from scratch,a team that will not feature any of the present crop of players representing us today, the man that won the last Fifa under 17 world cup should be given the mandate to rebuild our team.

I want to use this medium to thank Coach Keshi and his technical crew for bringing success to us 2 years ago, but, we got to move on to the next level without them.

Best Regards,

Bro Konjakonja.

[b]Coach Keshi Failed Nigerians

I am writing this with a broken heart. Today's match against South Africa at Uyo was supposed to be a winning game. The signs was there. However, Coach Keshi like all other previous coaches fell into the same problem. Yielding to pressure to stick to the so called Super Eagles.

At Uyo, we watched a team that showed promise. There were players there that could fill in the regions we were lacking. Most notably, Emem Eduok. His movement and brilliance around the eighteen yard box was something we lacked a long time. It is sad, we had such a player and he never got his opportunity.

The biggest mistake of the night was Coach Keshi not giving Aluko a chance to start. Sone Aluko was the reason we had a chance to turn the match around. He brought in spark to the team in the game against Sudan. The second leg match. He was refreshing, creative and played with passion. He had the same impact in the match against Congo. I thought the lad had done enough to merit a starting role. Why he did not start? I can not understand. If we started with Aluko, the game would have been different.

How Emenike gets a chance to play terrible and merit his starting shirt? Beats my imagination. I remember during the last game, I hoped whoever came on for Emenike should score and take his place. It happened that Aaron Samuel came in for Emenike and scored.

Why Aaron Samuel did not start? Shocking. Finally, Onazi might be a hard worker, but he is technically deficient. He leaves the simple to go for he extraordinary and achieves worse than the ordinary. Joseph Nathaniel should have started.

Coach Keshi developed a habit of letting players playing poorly continue. He had done a good job, raising new stars for the team. However, when he needed them the most, he did not use them.

If I am correct, Coach Keshi did not use his third substitution. It was clear, Emenike out for Emem Eduok. That is why I started this article pointing out Emem Eduok. Coach Keshi not making that change was disappointing. If there is any lesson he should learn from this match, always punish poor performers by benching them.

Ahmed Musa, the thunder that will fire you is still doing press up. Nansense.

Whenever I see Nigerians screaming about Ahmed musa being a good player, I just laugh hard.

An inconsistent player, a striker that would score just one goal out of 200 chances. A player that has pace, skills but 0% intelligence.

Keshi on his part kicked a rock. if he had switch to 4-4-2 immediately the second half started, playing uche and and Emenike(Aaron) up front and Musa behind them, Nigeria would have won.

Diagnosis my the patient is dead. A team is made up of people with brains. If we cannot have a stable team since the arrogant keshi came on board, then, its either I'm talking rubbish or God will punish some sets of people. Some animals are in that team. I won't mention names. The head is bad, what do you expect of the body? A coach is not the same as a manager or a technical adviser. Nff failed, minister for sports is a failure, majority of the players are empty headed. Musa number one. That guy with bandage is a nonentity. Keshi is a disgrace. Arrogant empty head.

Everybody talking about disbandment should just shut up!!!
This is football and it's merely a game! Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose!
The team gave their best and we should appreciate them for that. Yes there were errors at the back and even upfront, we couldn't convert our chances but this was a team playing under intense pressure tonight.
It was just not our night guys! There's still so much promise in this team and with the right management, they will be world beaters in 2 years.

EVERYBODY, FORGET ABOUT THIS AND LET'S MOVE ON!!! (without Keshi and Egwuekwe of course).

I have been calling for this disbanding for a long time now.

I guess we have exhausted all available excuses; now is the right time to start again against 2018 worldcup. Let's forget 2017nations cup too.
