please is this good or bad for our shares?

In my opinion, even though this is a headwind for the market, I think the market has already priced some of this into stock prices with the sell off we saw a couple of weeks ago. We might still see some declines as a result of this but I do not think it will be as drastic as what we saw earlier this month.

IF WE CAN NOT TIME THE MARKET, IT IS A GOOD BUY WHERE IT IS NOW. BARGING HUNTER AT N8
IS LIKELY TO MISS THE MARK.

Just a few thought,First. Bank should change its name to Omega bank I.e Lasi bank cos as an old bank in nigeria its not living up to its name when has gtb bank ever come close to #15 in years also Zenith bank too

If election hasn't come we see this backward dance of #9 what should we expect in #2015?

The same fall in oil price affectted Sterllin bank gtb, zenith, transcorp, etc

The management should redeem this brand whatever it takes!

Selah!

Don't assume or conclude to the fact that because one had a nightmare, one should stop dreaming. Don't allow the present situations of the market to influence you in taken an unpleasant decisions that may lead to long term regrets (as no one pray to loose his/her hard earned money). Watch closely and say no to panic sell. We have been on these road before...It is well with us!

And for the sake of God, the final decision rest on YOU. Good luck! I still stand by my word...nothing to panic or FEAR about!

Well, you are right. They have the final say but as for me, i don't see any reasons for panic. Let them sell and the bargain hunter will buy from them and sell back to them later (in bountiful premium).

please sir myjoy08, i quite agree with u that there's no panic because of d anticipated currency devaluation but pls dont put newbies into jeopardy if they hv to subscribe to ur opinion hook line and sinker.I will advice anybody to consistently adjust to the realities of the market and build a system that you can profit from, pls dont live in a hopeville of a non-feasible dream.
Oil price fall is logically here to stay!
Foreigners are officially careful and may possibly ease out of d market because of possibility of d election and the country existence after 2015.
Ever since some months ago,i have bought into dollar at #158 before this official devaluation because i saw it coming and i knew cbn would be cheesed out of naira defence and would later come out to devalue because water has pass garri!.
By 2015 and possibly oil price fall to $55,we may see naira at #200+

Yes, with the devaluation foreign investors might be tempted to crawl back in. They bought dollars at N160 and split. Now they can sell the same dollar at N175.... and settle in in time for the dec/jan/feb market upswing

Anyone who has encountered a TRUE pRoPhEt before would have used the word "Sir" before thinking once. And the same effect applies in the virtual, faceless world - never mind the QUALITY of the virtual pRoPhEt!

I came out with my cutlass today, thinking I will get some stocks doing Pre Black Friday sales but did not find anything. I will need to try again on Black Friday, if not I will continue my search on cyber Monday.
