2day marks another great day of sales @d yam market..... But I must confess I don't know if it were Nairaland viewers but seriously people trooped in from all over Nigeria to make purchase. I guess this are people who believe Corper Lekan will suck them of their hard earned cash... Lolz. Even this morning I had to get to the market by 6:00am to make purchase because its indeed great competition now ooooo. U leave a seller's shed on d ground of price b4 u know it another buyer buys the 100tubers u are still contemplating on. Hello everyone in this agric produce platform.... I'm really loving this because after studying the rate @ which farmers produce(yam tubers,groundnut and yam flour) are patronised by buyers from all part of Nigeria e.g Enugu, Ph, Lagos, Bayelsa, Anambra who travelled to Benue State just to mention a few, I came to a conclusion that both parties went home with smiles that is the farmers made good sales while the buyers bought great and "eye attractive" yam tubers. Just yesterday I was discussing with one of the Benue villager and he said its not possible for buyers to overwhelm the market but next week yam tubers and other produce will storm the market, that the buyers too will saw Wooooooow!!! But I told him the exposition people have gotten will make yams not to even be enough. Guess what he said...... He said its not possible that come next tuesday/wednesday the market will be flooded with great and mighty yams. So Hellooooo Nigeria!! Corper Lekan, I want to thank you for availing me the source of new income i now enjoy due to the purchase of yam to portharcourt as the market has been moving and now i intend buying more as i have tested and seen that the business is very viable as i am heating up my contacts in lagos and warri to spread my tentacle. Lastly how much will it cost me to get a half truck of yam to port and how much it will cost me to get 3/4 truck of yam to port. how many pieces of yams do i expect and the cost of transporting them down there. Well sir a truck has 5 to 6corches and each corch have like 1800tubers in it meaning a full truck is 1800*6=10,800tubers so meaning buying half truck is like booking 3corches in a truck Now the mathematics; a corch booking cost 35 to 37k(meaning transport cost for a full corch is 35 to 37k) then you buy your yams on per 100tubers which could be 9k,13k,16k or 19k depending on the sizes. I have 100tubers big sized yams now still fresh as auction for 20k whoever that is interested should whatsapp me now. Its Mr Habeebs yams but due to some on foreseen circumstances it couldn't move to kano on sunday. Reason: this occured because kano groundnut buyers didn't come to the groundnut market in mass and besides the little that came said they are only heading to tafawa balewa in kano state but my client (Mr Habeeb) prefers it in dawangeri yam zone in kano. I'm please to inform d house that Mr Habeeb's yam (@mujeebmuhsin) is about entering into the city of portharcourt for sales since its pretty difficult now to move into Kano State for distribution of yam tubers. I will surely update Mr habeeb as regards the progress of sales and after speaking with him I was made to realise that he was indeed a perfect gentle man. I say may God bless you sir for your kind words even after the inability to move to kano state after 2 trials.
