Presidency caught showcasing Kwankwaso’s projects as Jonathan’s achievement in North-West


The Nigerian presidency has been caught showcasing projects executed by the Kano State Government as part of the legacy projects executed by the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in the North-West geopolitical zone of the country.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, had in a 10-part series of tweets on Sunday highlighted key projects he said the Jonathan administration executed in the six North-West states of Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara.

Kano state government is to spend N56, 000, 000 annually to finance the education of 100 of its students who secured admission recently into Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun state. This translates into N560, 000 on each student per annum.
The state governor, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso said that his administration is paying serious attention to education not just for its citizens to earn university degrees but for them to be exposed and capable of fitting into what he termed “the Nigeria of today and the Nigeria of tomorrow and beyond”.

The governor who made this known during a send forth held at the government house, Kano for the 100 students sponsored by the state government said ”since we are the most populous state, we have to create opportunity for our people to acquire education”.
This, he said will launch Kano further into the league of progressive states , pointing out that if the state doesn’t pay attention to education its children will continue to roam the streets as beggars. Governor Kwankwaso therefore challenged Kano citizens not to relent in embracing education so that the growth and development of the state will be accelerated.
