Big waste of time and money.

She ought to be at home; taking care of her husband and grandchildren. And not on a fruitless wild goose chase...

And even if she really needs the education, whatever happens to adult education?... Can't she enroll in one?

No, it isn't a waste of time and money to go back to school.

Infact, I wish I had this woman's humility......something worth emulating.

In the UK....a 90 year old man graduated from university a few years ago....with classmates young enough to be his grandchildren.

She isn't going on a wild goose chase. She is going on a journey of fulfillment.
She's only aiming for secondary school.
Can't you see it from what she's saying...

And No. I'm not against playing catch up and going back to school. But at her age, and in a society like Nigeria, I hate to say it but it's fruitless.

Also, we have agencies and schools that are specially designed to treat cases like hers. But she conveniently skip them over.

This woman deserves an award wink

Jack of all trade, master of all grin

Truly, ignorance is not an excuse for illiteracy.
Very soon Nigerians would clamour for awards to be given to other Nigerians for just using the toilet.. smh

Funny but exemplary.
Very brave woman.
Tongues must be wagging but she knows what she wants and how to get it. So it bothers her not. Can you see the proud features of her face?

President GEJ should emulate this woman. Even if 'condemned-to-be-followers' good-for-nothings hurl insults and rotten criticisms at him, he should stand firm and stick to his target. The end always justifies the means!
i definitely agree wit u, presido jonah shuld emulate ds woman n go back to skul

Some passions, some dreams are worth chasing and fulfilling!

If the former president of Nigeria, chief olusegun obasanjo, could enrol for a degree in N.O.U.N at the age of 72 or there about, then this lady has no regret goin back to experince what she never had the opportunity years back.

To you its a waste of time, but to her it's a gain to lost privilege!

i am sure that someone like you, after all you got from school, you have nothing to show for it. do you know what it feels like to be disencouraged for almost everything because one didn't go to school? school is not just to get a certificate but to be able to open one's self to new opportunities like even reading and writing, getting educated, being able to read certain books one could not read before. i rebuke you for this statement you made. give her a chance to at least put her head above the water. i tutored a girl whom even at the age of 24 could not read the bible. she hears the and can quote bible verses but cannot find them in the bible why? Because she cannot read, I helped her a little before she left but i believe that i have changed her life for the better. pls encourage these people at least with your kind words. this is the 21st century for God's sake

Learn how to spell first and then come back. Well except if half of your keyboard/keypad is missing.

i am sure you will be more psychologically affected by the fact your own mother didn't go to school at all when other children's mothers went to school. you cant talk about your mother in public because questions might lead to whether she went to school or not. Why cant you guys think far?
