icebeatz:OP, I feel the expression is wrong in the first place. Reason, a smaller bracket can not enclose a bigger bracket. I mean (1-[2-3]-2) is wrong because this sign ( ) is junior to [ ] in Mathematical expressions. And in Mathematics, you solve the smaller bracket before moving to higher bracket. So, how did you solve this, (1-[2-3]-2) ? |
| Re: Solve This Simple Maths Question If You Can!:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: by managermahmud: 8:05am On Dec 08, 2014 |
The answer is 4! [1-0+3] is not and can neva be = 4 Because -*+= - Therefore => 1-3=-2 So, 2-[-2]=4 Thr4, d ansa is 4 |

2 - [1 - (1 - [2 - 3] - 2) + 3] = 2 - 3 = - 1 = 1 + 1 - 2 = 0 = 1 - 0 + 3 = 2 - 4 = - 2 Start from the innermost bracket, bodmas. |

Scrypt:From the point of 1 - 0 +3 above, applying BODMAS, we'll have to solve the 0 plus 3 part first which gives 1 - 3=-2. Inserting the 2- outside the bracket gives 2-(-2) =4. My answer is 4. @OP, come solve the thing abeg |

icebeatz:2 - [1-(1-[2-3]-2)+3] Using BODMAS 2 - [1 - (1 - [-1] -2) + 3] The absolute value[] of any number is the unsigned/positive value of the number = 2 - [1 - (1 - 1 - 2) + 3] = 2 - [1 - (-2) + 3] = 2 - [3+3] = 2 - 6 = 4 |
