This market is about to bottom out. sincerely there is no more investor confidence in the market as the political scene comes to a frenzy. my little advice is- if you have bought a good share with good fundamental, do not panic. hold on it don't sell at a loss. I have a strong believe that those who wait out this storm will come out smiling with a unexpected profit after the February election. But if you have bought into a share with no known good fundamental rather driven by speculation then you are in for a big trouble. |

If you have funds to invest and you feel you can gamble with it. that is- if you lose it it will not affect your finances. money you can do without but money that can make you rich if invested at the right time, then hold on a while. wait until it's the last week of January and the first week of February and start buying stocks with good fundamentals. trust me, you can either become rich or you can lose all depending which direction the election goes and if Nigeria still wants to remain one indivisible entity. PROPHETIC WORDS. |

Watch the market and observe that most shares have shed 50% of their former value. its a clue that you can jump in later when the great ascension begins. you need to be prepared and don't slack. |

I understand your own point and i agree only that share buy back is good for some stocks without strong fundamentals.....FBN is a very principled establishment and when you buy FBN stock you should know is like you have bought fixed income securities because with price fluctuation you will still get returns.......FBN believe in what they are doing and they have shown it with their constant dividend payment......There is definitely no cause for alarm and they will never reconstruct their shares like that IBTC did.....Even with the Holdco formation my shares before Holdco are still same and thats the principle of FBN......I have lost some of my shares to Access due to reconstruction, also UBN and you must know I will never buy into those banks again...... What is driving the market is more of oil price than election. Anyway which ever, price is dropping, keep accumulating fund to buy at the bottom. |

Some little fundamental pointer. Buhari flying the APC flag. We know politicians are very desperate people. And now we have Buhari flying the flag of a bigger platform than CPC. When he lost in 2011, we know what happened. Imagine him losing this time(I am not saying PDP will win or APC will win). Truth be told, there are "real" uncertainties in the landscape and sincerely, if I were a foreign investor, I would think twice ... |

Tough times for Russia. I hope the naira does not face a similar fate come 2015 as this oil price decline does not look like it is abating soon. http://mobile.bloomberg.com/news/2014-12-11/russia-raises-rates-to-end-ruble-run-as-rout-ravages-economy-1-.html |

Don't be sorry at all.......ETI is currently dealing with me....I bought their dollar denominated shares in 2008 and when I read from their website they always declare dividend like 0.2cents,0.3cents,0.4cents,0.4cents,0.4cents and from my own calculation that should be 0.17cents but know the kind of 5yrs dividend that I received in my account is like 0.017cents times number of shares held.....How can you write 0.2cents and calculate it as 0.002cents?At least 2cents should be 0.02cents......These are manipulative shares and sorry to say there is no profit in investing your hard earned money into buying anything ETI.....I don't like UBA also with their cheap dividends upon all their earnings but they are far better than ETI.....I am going to sell their shares and count it as one of those things and nobody close to me will never buy anything ETI............ Oil sales at $63 per barrel against it former price of $80 per barrel , and will soon fall to $45 per barrel, with lower demand of purchase from the global community. He that buy dollar at #150 per a dollar and sales at #180 or #200, can little be compare with him that sell his stock now , and buy the bigger amount of unit latter. Remember we are still in the bearish season four, heading to the grand papa of bearish season five. I will be glad to pick enough unit of Nestle, Seplat, 7up, Okomu oil, Oando, FBN, UBA, TRANSCORP, CUTIX, DANGOTE SUGAR and ASHAKA CEMENT, come next year at good junction, that's why if you are interested to join me, keep your money cash, do not leave your huge amount of money in stocks, before the drop in oil price, fear of general election and austerity measure will reduce the money to nothing. Cash is king for those that should wait for the proper time, come next year. |

Punch mobile, 11th December 2014, maintains that "the federal Government may have to adjust the oil price benchmark for 2015 budget again as the price of Brent crude, which tumbled to $63 per barrel on wednesday, look set to extend its fall" punch mobile also stated that, "according to the US investment bank, Morgan Stanley, in a report last week, oil prices could fall as low as $43 per barrel next year". These are indication that great grand papa bearish is on its way coming. If your junction is not good enough, shifting is allowed. Meaning that you can shift your junction. |

Chibuking81:Well u might be correct , bear in mind that no one can time the market as well .. Either brearish season 5 or 10 ,general election , or austerity people will always buy and sell anytime . During june 12 ,Abacha era there was no war, so lets hope for a peaceful election If you are for long time , i don't think u need to worry cos selling now is going to be a huge loss |
