thats true because its 97%quality 100%strength and yet africa magic is not showing only NTAi and Lagos tv and go channel,the guy who sold it to my anty said they is a promo and all the channels are open for new users,so i connect it and put the antenner at the window and it begin to show but the channels were already there i did not scan it myself

Secondly it was not stated in the specs of 4922D that it has diseqc 1.1,1.2 and USAL compactible..... Hope it has these diseqc supports

@Euroadams. 4922A/D+ have MULTICAS embedded (single) Card Readers & are DiSEqC 1.2 (i.e 1.0,1.1,..) & USALS compatible.

well...u all will agree with me that every new released version of a company's product is often to fix bugs in the older version... Pple said 4922A processor easily get overheated n may burn...now i beleive there is a reason 4 dat...it may be because excess voltage or current is dropping across the terminals of the IC... Or that components of lower wattage was used thus making it to run hot ..

Now strong technologist may hav noticed this bug either in hardware or software of the older 4922/A and as a result released a similar version (4922D plus) in which they have fixed such a bug...
4922A and 4922D may have same processor and specifications...but they must differ in terms of ratings of components used to build the control unit as well as the power supply unit...
So lets start by understanding that 4922D is similar new version released in disguise to fix the hardware n software bugs in 4922A... So dat they share similar specs does not mean they have same internal build quality..

Next 4950 series are great but very complicated in terms of FTA n if u r good in electronics n computer u will agree wit me that even the internal build is not quite great(in terms of the switching devices used).


My humble house members... Its due to user friendliness and simple interface n above all dat its the latest product released by strong in disguise to fix some of the encountered hardware n software bugs in older SRT 4922A,4950/M/H n other HD decoders..that i hav chosen to buy the SRT 4922D plus as the current winner in the line of HD decoders from http://www.strong-technologies.com

the SRT4922D+ that Strong-technologies just introduced to the market is better than SRT4922(A). I tested the receiver yesterday and discovered that the tuner is more sensitive than that of 4922(A) but I still prefer 4950H. The reason is that it takes 4950 series less than two minutes to blindscan a particular satellite unlike other Strong receivers that takes ages to blindscan . 2. The update comes regularly. 3. It has a bigger memory etc. I know some may say that 4950 series is not friendly to use but I'm telling you that the receiver is not meant for newbies in the world of satellites. Just as android phone is complex to java phone users so is 4950 series.

tanks my guy 4 confirming that 4922D is better enhanced than 4922A.... Regarding the 4950... Yea i agree it has great processor speed...but the switching device used is very poor in performance..... U should notice dat wen u change ur channels from one wit vertical polarity to one wit horizontal polarity...there is a threshold delay b4 the channel begin to show...its also this delay threshold dat makes it look like it takes a longer time to register signal during tracking... I dnt actually knw why they used such a long threshold...but they r d manufacturers n they should knw best.... If u actually want to see what am saying,take a digital multimeter and set it to 20Vdc range then measure the voltage at ur LNB IN port at the back of ur rx n notice that when u change from vertical channel to horizontal one, the switching transistor tends to build up the voltage gradually (from 9v to 13v for V and from 13v to 18v for H) instead of fast switching the voltage once to 13v and 18v for V n H respectively
