I'm first time mum and 6months gone and my tommy is still very small. I'm a little bit concern. Although the doctor said the size is okay but to me the size is just like I'm 4 months gone.

Please first time mum and experience mothers should please share their experience on this...

# I know this is not the right place to post this, I just wanted to know if someone has this same experience#

Your response would be highly appreciated.

Thank You.

NO dear, its NOT possible to have a CS without anaesthetic, dats suicide mission. You know how painful a minor knife cut is when slicing e.g orange; then imagine the pain of slicing thru ur stomach and womb. No hospital would try such, not even a slaughter house.

Thanks for the response,I was curious cos people were listing epidural as an option when listing CS fees.. I'm not being sarcastic but I've had two(1st was an emergency while the 2nd was elective) so I know what it feeeelllls like. I felt like having an out of body experience within the 1st 12hrs on both occassions cos the pain was real gangster.
I'm getting ready for no 3(& final) and making enquiries to guide budgetting.
Thanks once again.

Nb. I've already reached out to dr fagbohun and he has given me a breakdown, I also got two other nigerian drs on healthgrade that I intend to reach out to for comparison.

Attention Atlanta Mums,

I called Gwiwnnett price estimate line and the automated system said their hospital fees were:

4-6k for normal delivery with 40% discount for self pay
10-12 k for cs with same discount for self pay.

HOWEVER,
I had sent them an email over the weekend when I was considering porting from northside since I couldn't seem to get a doctor there to take me at 35weeks. I got their reply this morning which stated a whopping 2x increase . Read a portion below:

"Prices are based on level of care and length of stay. On average, patients who experience a normal vaginal delivery and remain in our facility for 2 days incur charges from $8,000 to $10,000.

Patients who deliver by caesarian who remain in our facility for 4 days incur charges from $15,000 to $25,000. "

(And of course you know this excludes physicians fee, anaestheasia, paediatricians fee etc...)

I called the financial counsellor whose number was on the email and told her that their voice prompt gave me a different quote from her email. She put me on hold for a few minutes to confirm this and got back to me apologizing that the voice prompt had not been updated yet, and that this was the new price estimate ! She also said they dont do more than a 40% discount, and that if I was "STRUGGLING" financially I should applY for Medicaid! ( which of course I would NEVER do)!

So for those of us intending to birth at Gwinnett, please be aware of this price review, don't be shocked after delivery. E no go funny!

@ hebrewwoman2014, thanks for contacting them. That's the same email they sent me. But from what I understand, it's an estimate and theu bill u based on LENGTH OF STAY.

As mimibe or someone mentioned earlier, stay nothing more than a day. That way total bill stays under 4k! So na just to believe God and pray we all have normal deliveries.

Just emailed Dr. Oduro, will let una know his response. When are u travelling?

Please relax and take it easy. Any care that comes just cast it on God and forget about it, trusting that it has already been taken care of.

Thats true o, had my baby there on the 3rd of december and i got a bill of 9547 and my baby 1028 and 67 for visit to peadtrician, this price is before 40% discount……..and not what i expected at all…it was a vaginal delivery o……so pls my advice is go to an hospital with a fixed price and not an estimate…..cos u never can tell what the bill will look like at the end……..not a straight forward bill at all.

Thank God you and babies are fine. I can imagine the scare as am equally carrying multiples, after a very long wait for this miracle. Everyday is a testimony. I read thru your posts and thought to remind you to take good care of yourself and don't take anything for granted. You can be a super mom after delivery so for now, just rest and be lazy. It will end in praise by God's grace.
