You're right.

Armed robbery is punishable by death. There really is no need for people to get emotional over the verdict.

Guy relax. no get heart failure. It is really not the judge's fault. The prosecutors of ogwuche could not prove their case beyond reasonable doubt. Make una Dey understand law before una Dey make comments Nah.

I won't blame most NLS condemning the judgement.The headline confused most of them, coupled with the fact that we have bad reading-to-understand culture.The got death sentence for conspiracy, life for robbery and 3years for stealing. All these are in the laws of the land.

the law is at it is and not as it ought to be. Pointing a gun at me doesn't means he is capable of shooting me. The intent of a man can't be tried for devil himself knows not the intent of a man. Though treat to life is a criminal offence and it is punishable but it must be proved beyound reasonable doubt.

There is no place for philosophy. Research on the following components of criminal law: actus reus and mens rea. There u will find the legal answer to ur thoughts trying the intents of a man's heart. I assure u a man who holds a loaded gun WILL and I repeat WILL shoot it where the appropriate circumstances presents itself. He must then be ready to bear the consequences of his actions. Ciao!

Ur opinion I understand but I disagree. The law is what it is as a matter of necessity. I am not necessarily pro capital punishment but I strongly believe that armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery should attract the highest sentence allowed by our judicial system and if that sentence be death so be it. If u have ever had to deal with these people u would understand why.

You re contracdicting ur self. Jurispudencially,the laws re set based on morality n its just like six and half a dozen. They complement eachother. However, based n ur issue of actus reus n mens rea, re u aware that there can be actus reus wtout mens rea? Then wot will be ur defence. You can't categorically say that a man with loaded gun have only the instinct of shooting. It a all depends on the surrounding circumstances. Bearing the consequences is based on charges levied against him n he is only an accused until proof is established that he is guilty before h can be convicted and sentenced.

bros, the judge , the prosecutors and govt are working together on this... i know some1 close to this case. the guyz Dad has being working for his release...so they just did this shamble to look as if the judge had no option.....corruption is now the bane in the judiciary
