If your Mother in-law bought a new set of cooking pots for his daughter in-law and gave it to his son, will the daughter in-law be happy?

To all ladies that said that there is nothing wrong, if your mother in law start buying cooking pots and plates for your kitchen, will you be happy with that?

Recently, my mother in law bought me bowls and basin and even promise to bring drum(big bucket). She did that because she found out i had just 2 bowls and no basin for washing clothes.

Im very happy and still using style to expect the drum. Wetin be my concern. Infact, im planning to tell her i need basket to keep the bowls and other plates.

Everything is an us versus them thing for some of these guys. Simply because the shoe is on the other foot. I am pretty sure if it was that a wife whose MIL sent her husband a car and was bitching that they'll be cursing out the woman as an ungrateful cur.

If it was now an old friend who's a guy or her elder brother will he now jump inside lagoon

What the father in-law did that was wrong is to give the car to his daughter directly without informing his son in-law. Best way to go about it is for the father in-law to present the car to them as a couple instead of giving it to his daughter directly.

Obviously most peeps do not read through the thread before running their mouth.The issue that brought up that car to wife comparison was a as result of some statements made by a people that contributed nothing but only to use this thread in bashing every Nigerian husband as being backward and insecure over an unreliable story on a faceless forum - Who wouldn't want a free car as a gift?

Some of you guys need to pull your heads out from the asss of these ladies - You sound too terrible for a man for God's sake.

Why mother in law versus daughter in law issh full here with the same old tolerate her story. Why you no advice her to lash her mother in law for intruding into her home affairs

i am not even talking about 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th names.....it's the first name i am talking about here. a FIL feeling entitled to name a child i sired? he would be thoroughly verbally lashed......he would tell me which part of his spërm cells produced the baby he wants to name.

african parents need to calm down - they are the ones destroying many marriages although the economy could be blamed too. some of these wives spent close to 35 years under their father's roofs so the dads feel like they own them - marriage or not! the FIL that will try such nonsense with me will live to regret it.

Are they not the same males who criticise ladies for seeing their mothers in law as rivals, thus causing the common rifts? Now you can see how Ego can cause them to do the same. EGO!! That word 'EGO' is always the cause of their problems and downfall. Why must Ego always get in the way when there are no problems? why create problems for yourself out of the blues? Car and food are on the same level because they are both gifts. Is a second wife a gift? Is a second wife a utility item? Is a second wife a piece of good that can be put in storage or used by any member of the family? Apparently the qualitative analysis you were taught was how to make imaginary scenarios.

how much is food? the mother bringing food to the house doesn't necessarily suggest you lack food in your house or you can't afford food. your FIL buying you a car puts your financial responsibility into scrutiny. he bought it cos you couldn't afford one = which also means you aren't a competent hubby = which also means you are infidel that cannot provide for family.

now, that's qualitative analysis!

you would never see me egging on MILs to bully housewives. MILs should stay in her hubby's house and should only visit when invited. the era of nosey parents invading homes is well & truly over.

i don't even tolerate fathers of girlfriends putting their nose in my business, let alone FILs. he would get verbally lashed if he questions my authority. if i ain't good enough for his trust fund babydaughter, he should never make the mistake of giving her to me. once i cross that bridge, there's a limit to his interference & visits.
