Nothing wrong in telling your guy you have not seen in a long time you miss him, I and my friends tell ourselves that especially after a holiday no big deal, its just a way of expressing how you miss things you do together, how you hangout, sports you play together, etc

Op, it's not every phrase that's appropriate in every situation or to every person u meet. Perception is a very vital factor in interpersonal relationship. In our clime, u need to choose who u say certain phrases to e.g. I love u, I miss u, Give me a kiss/hug, etc.
Choose your words carefully n avoid being seen in unpalatable light.

hahah it sound funny..well it can be used to both gender dependin on the tone of the voice u sue to say it...omo if a man say it in a romantic tone..i go smack am ooo

It's not wrong but just make sure you say it in pidgin. "I don miss my guys oo" "guy I don miss you oo", it doesn't sound seducing this way.

Lol OP you know how it is in nigeria nah, tell ur fellow guy u miss him or love him and his reply wil be "You dey mad abi you be gay?" U can tell a guy u miss him but it depends on how u say it, u can say things like "Baba Long time o ur boy don miss u die" but just saying ordinary "i miss u" will make u sound so passionate and people will start to think you guys are lovers or something. My school pastor always calls me and everytime he's about to drop d call he always says "I love u" it feels weird but he's my pastor and i cannot beat him up. I personally don't have a problem with a guy telling me dat he misses me or he loves me he should not just say it to me in an open place if not i'll plank him b4 people start thinking we have something going.
