Take your time and marry the person who you think is right for you. Not because of kids. If you marry the wrong person, you may end up destroying those children and your life will be hell. Marry early or late, but make sure it is your own husband or wife. A lot of people are not mentally stable enough for marriage. 3 Likes |

Coming from a woman, in these ages of chillessness, couples are less fruitful now unlike in the 60s, 70s and 80s, with menopause. I will advice whoever cares to listen to marry early, nothing like advantages of marrying late . Remember once you are 30, you can never be 29 again.Be prayerful and ask God for guidance, there is no perfect man or woman anywhere, tolerance, understanding, sharing, love, forgiveness and avoiding 3rd party interference, good home mgt are keys to a successful home and marriage. Marry on time, have your 3kids and less and rest. Train them and have peace of mind, buying baby food at 60years, is not the best. 1 Like |

Nice refreshing piece from op, different from the ubiquitous 'get married, get children' rhetoric u hear everywhere in this ignorant society, especially the point about marriage not been a race. Most of our girls now dont have an idea of whart to do if there is no marriage for them. They are told at home and in churbch that there cant be anything else, and since our society has stopped reading people have stopped evolving |

The most important thing before going into marriage is to ensure that your fiance or fiancee is in love with you. Please, make sure that you are 200% sure she/he is in love with you because if you miss it at that point in time, that is the beginning of the end of the marriage. No marriage can stand the test of time without the foundation of the marriage being built on Love. Don't ever take or equate "I love you" to genuine love. Don't even bother about this simple sentence; it has no value. Let his/her actions be your Cursor in the relationship, let his/her action tell you what to believe " Either he/she loves you or not" It's pretty easy to know who is 200% in love with you. After genuine feeling/love has been established, there questions that need to be answered individually and the most important one is; Am i happy as an individual, if you not, it ll be hard to give what you don't have and that is why you need an happy independent life before marriage. Are you mentally(maturity comes out of this) and spiritually ready to lead a woman? if you not, there is no point dragging an innocent soul into your unknown world. As a woman, am i ready to support my man spiritually and mentally? if the answer is no, there is no point saying yes to his proposal but if you ignorantly accepte is proposal cos of your own selfishness, i can assure you that you are still coming back to that single ladies world you are running away from. Finally, ensure you have mentors(people in happy marriage) who would advise you from time to time cos no matter how compatiable you both are, issues ll always arise and sometimes, you need more than your own wisdom to deal with it. Equally ensure you surround your marriage with people in their own happy marriages. Make him/her your best friend, be adventurous, do new things together and ensure that God element is not left out in your marriage. If you are fortunate to find your destined woman or man, you could settle down at age 18yrs old and nothing ll stand on your way to success in life.
