We all know that there’s something inside us that fuels the desire to marry. If we are not married then we’re missing something. There’s something wrong with us.(or atleast we feel that way.) but I have seen men that have refused to marry and they are not being disturbed or gossiped like women. Often times I do see posts on here that preach being single but the funny thing is that if you pay close attention to the message you will understand that the poster(woman) ain't happy being single.(in most cases) In our families and society, we see single women as a problem to be fixed, a conundrum to unravel. No one can rest until they are sorted. Everybody will be giving advice/suggestions. In fact, if a woman in her 30s should open her mouth and say that she is single and happy, I can tell ya that no one will believe her. No one. It's at that word 'happy' that everyone gets stuck. Once a woman is in 30ish and not married yet ha, I can tell ya that she will be restless(most of them) unlike guys. A guy can be in his late 40s and still be cool with it, people will still not see any problem in it but the reverse is always the case if it is a lady. Unlike men,women attain menopause way earlier b4 men,so she has a limited time to find her mcsteamy and start making his babies b4 she is termed barren. Although for me that's no excuse though, we can always adopt.  2 Likes |

It's a societal conditioning of sorts that the woman's place is with a man, without whom she's a figurehead of sorts. A dogma, an apogee. It's been passed down from aeons of generations ago --- Belief affects DNA y'know? Catch my drift? It's not gonna change anytime soon. Another reason is this - The man's priority is provision, the woman's priority is procreation. This explains why a man focuses his attention on provision related ventures, and the woman on procreation related ventures. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

Owk speaking from a Christian's point of view, The LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. So how comes that the help-meet is more worried about finding a man than the man himself? |

The society lay more pressure on a lady than a male,when it comes to marriage. Morever,a lady is less attractive when she is in 30's,,not ignoring the fact that menopause is real,,with all this,a lady can be disturbed,when it comes to marriage related issues. |

Tallesty1:. I'd give two examples; A man is caught cheating on his wife and he cld easily get off the hook. A woman is caught cheating on her husband and all hell wld be let loose. Exp 2; A boy sleeps wiv so many girls and he's branded a player,but a girl does same and she's called a prostitute. So u see my friend,its a man's world. It all depends on the kind of women they have been dating. Today's women are just making it difficult for guys to embrace marriage. Some guys don't want commitment. Responsibility is another issue. Person never take care of himself na to begin take care of woman and children 1 Like 1 Share |

Like fine wine, men get/taste better with age - the opposite is the case for women. An average man will still have loaded bullets to shoot by the time he hits 60, while the average woman at that age will have shed all her viable eggs with no hope of producing more. 2 Likes |

The only time women get so disturbed about being single is when they have nothing going on for them,no work,no good education,no source of income and they wait for the messiah to come and rescue them from their misrey and so the families put so much pressure on them because by now they should be inlaws and riding a big jeep. In the past,ladies get married at very young age...from 16-yrs because everyone believed the only goal of a lady was to procreat but since civilisation came most ladies now want an education or get a job before settling down which to me is major . Secondly,everybody is aspiring to become like their role model so the competition is stiff. Thanks to empowerment programs,Society is more open to ladies acquring education and no one wants to be left out although,people still find it uncool" when a lady or man is not married.it might be they are genuiely concrned or they are still holding on to the cave man's mentality. I don't think anyone wants to remain single but some are overly ambitious and they think marriage will get in the way of that at that moment. Whatever the reason are,Marriage will come at the right time but before it does,live happily and pursue your dreams. 7 Likes |
