Nigerians are hilarious. When America did it they said it was because of the anti-gay law forgetting that most of America's allies in the middle east don't support homosexuality.

We cannot be trusted with arms. The way our military give up their outpost to terrorists is ridiculously worrying.

How does a barrack get captured in one day? And when we say they government is complacent they blame everyone else except themselves.

It is even more worrying that this comment came up

So this is about the elections all along. If there was no elections they wont even bother more. I wonder why our military is just having them on the run too.

Crappy country with crappy leaders and even we the followers are crappy
I thot I was the only one that noticed this point.U can imagine the selfish interest behind the rush to convey the arms,so if not that,Nigerians can all roast in the insurgency for all the govt cares....SMH.

Until we realize that Boko haram members are terrorists we wont make progress in fighting them publicly. This has nothing to do with Muslims. I know Christians who do wrong and hide behind Christianity does that mean they represent Christians?
Myndd44 is shekau a christian? Is ISIS christian militants? Did shekau quote the bible to support his terrorist activities?

So everyone that comes up in the name of Islam represents Muslims?

I guess Catholics priests who molested little boys represents Christians then

Why must Nigeria always look to import finished goods (military equipment). Government will now tell us it has no business with business.
if DICON is empowered to develop all these equipment, we will not be facing this embarrassment now.

We have so many mechanical engineers unemployed, some even with masters yet government says it has no business with business so it has to create employment in foreign countries by importing all sorts of finished goods at the expense of our people and the naira.

Saudi Arabia is simply doing the bidding of America and this action has absolutely no religious undertone in my opinion. Pakistan is a much more radical state than saudi and yet it has chosen to sell Nigeria weapons.

He built 3 refineries in Kaduna, Warri
and Portharcourt.

please forget about all this lies. Buhari never built nor upgrade any refinery, below is the dates the refineries were built and the capacity of the acclaimed refineries you said Buhari built.

Kaduna refinery in northern Nigeria was built in
1980 with a capacity of 5.5 million mt/yr
(110,000 b/d). A Lube Baseoil plant was added
in 1982, and an LAB plant in 1987.
Warri refinery in the south central region was
built in 1978 with a capacity of 6.2 million mt/yr
(125,000 b/d). A Carbon Black plant and a
Polypropylene plant were added in 1986.
Port Harcourt refinery in the southeast is made
up of two refineries, built in 1965 and 1989. In
1993 they were merged into one, with a total
capacity of 10.500 million mt/yr (210,000 b/d).
The Eleme Petrochemical plant, which was built
adjacent to the Port Harcourt refinery in 1995,
has an Olefin production capacity of 483,000 mt/
yr, a Polypropylene capacity of 80,000 mt/yr and
a Polyethylene production capacity of 250,000 mt/
yr.

I keep shouting it

Involve our higher institutions in weapons development (Design, Fabrication and Testing ) while DICON mass produces these weapons.

See the embarrassment we are receiving because of our refusal to develop our indigenous military technology.

The worst is the so called govt will not even allow private sectors to develop weapons even with a licence. I am sure what they are importing are reminants of ISIS used weapons. The igbos just kept calm because, they have not seen any reason to go to war soon...otherwise, igbos can produce deadly weapons.

Saudi Arabia is USA puppet, if USA don‘t want Nigeria to get arms, Saudi would not grant permission. Gej should talk to Obama, if Obama agrees, Saudi agrees.

Let us not forget that saudi refuses to allow OPEC to reduce oil output, though reducing it would be of their interest, just because USA want to punish Russia.

Saudi and Nigeria were close, when Nigeria and USA were close.
the first meaningful post I've read on this matter... U summed it up nicely... I jst wonder isnt there a way to live our national lives without having to go begging the US. This arrogance and pokenosing of theirs irritates me.

Well, I'm surprised some posters before me are misreading this. What kind of crackheads do we have here? Must we read religion or APC/PDP politics into everything? The last time I checked, Pakistan's a country dominated by Moslems. Same with Sudan that gave flight permit over their airspace. So this has nothing to do with Boko haram being an Islamic terror group.

If I'd say, the US's hands are involved. Remember the botched South African and Israel deals? Refusal to buy our oil but buying from the Saudis? The scaling down of their oil investments in the country? Now this. Please good people of Nigeria, let's put two and two together. I believe the US is hitting back because we refused them having AFRICOM on our soil. We need to look inward, that's what China did.

Last year, Former President Abdulsalam Abubakar at a University's convocation lamented on the dearth of DICON. Like someone said, we can revive this institution. Let's not play politics with our destiny as a nation. This is national security we are talking about.

Our global reputation is almost non-existent right now and what we care about is throwing blames around

I want the Northerners to condemn and support the FG to fight terrorism. When arm robbery and kidnapping was rampant in the East, the easterners condemn and supported the FG. That is why arm robbery and kidnapping became something of the past.

The Northerners supported the activities of BH when they were bombing churches and Christian dominated area. Now, BH has turned against them, they blame GEJ and CAN for their woes.

The APC has never condemn Boko haram, instead they blame the FG and criticise our gallant soldiers who fight day and night to restore peace in this country.

So the civilian JTF are not northerns. What is wrong with you.

International politics is a matter of the interest of the local population. Saudi does not feel comfortable about us so they are not allowing us fly arms over their airspace.

If we don't feel comfy about them for a genuine reason we can do same. When we deported South African over a diplomatic row, I was all for it.

I asked you a simple question that requires Yes or No answer, would you have supported GEJ if he had banned Saudi Airlines for lack of trust?

No reasons given, just by saying, we don't trust Saudis hence no direct landing to Nigeria.
