SW RONU

A typical Hausa Fulani do not believe in True Federalism

Ask Buhari his view about True Federalism and it will surprise you what answer he will utter

SW these are things that will benefit your guys.

1) Resource Control

2) Fiscal Federalism

3) Privatization

4) Political Federalism

5) Decentralization of Nigeria

6) Restructuring of Nigeria

6) Institutions giving detail account of their financial/other activities to the public through their websites/panels for public scrutiny every 3months.

Which are the fastest route to

I) economic diversification,
ii) citizenry prosperity
iii) political stability
iv) reduce corruption

These 7 points are the basis of True Federalism which can help Nigeria become a Super Power and a first world Nation.

dis revisionism & rewriting of history by d Western hegemony is hardly surprising. Just like under d patriotic govt of Murtala Mohammed, d hegemony particularly Britain felt dat their interests were threatened by d duo of Buhari & Idiagbon & resorted to all sorts of blackmail.
When GMB took over, d western creditor nations & d IMF knew dat d country had been severely weakened by d debt situation created by d corruption & profligacy of d thieving politicians whom Buhari eased out of power. They therefore saw an opportunity to hold our country to ransom & foist on our hapless & severely weakened nation d neo-liberal economic policies of d IMF wit its several slavish conditionalities including d devaluation of d naira.
GMB called their bluff. He rejected d IMF loan & refused to devalue d naira. He devised an ingenuous system of barter 4 oil. This was highly successful & it stabilized d economy. d inflationary rate was kept at between 3-5% & d exchange rate at $1 to 1 naira.
We know our history. Facts will not cease to be facts because neo-liberal agents of western hegemony want us to be perpetual slaves to d IMF & World bank.
Buhari did it b4, he will do it again.

Granted that GMB has an anti corruption advantage, I want us to know that corruption in Nigeria is a resultant effect of another evil, which is wrong governmental policies and the level of civilisation of the citizenry.
When people are not sure that the national cake will benefit them normally, they seek abnormal ways to get ''steal" it(and don't say stealing ain't corruption).
The truth is that fighting corruption without the necessary foundation for good governance can only make the act of corruption more subtle, forcing the perpetrators to go underground while inventing grander means of carrying out their craft.
GMB shouldn't hype his anti corruption agenda, because we have its grandfather yet to solve. Even in his reign in the 80's showed that after fighting the corrupt, good governance is not guaranteed.
Even if corruption slumps to a record low in Nigeria, without a good economic policy and good administration of it,we will still be in the economic mire.
Happy new year Nigeria

this is the same passion 10percent of GEJ supporters have. The remaining 90percent are more convinced he is better than Buhari.

Most folks here aren't aware that Britannica, like Wikipedia, can be edited by the public, and that's what makes it unreliable but rich.

@ bolded If we were to give awards for the most mischevous thread on this forum you would win. This is fact.

I am not a jonathanian, nor do I exhibt tanisim, All this you tags and name calling propaganda tactics do not work on me. I understand how you think and the propaganda tools you operate with.

The fact is I once made a solemn promise that If fahshola was not chosen as VP I would campaign aggressively against buhari. Because I am of the opinion that he is an economically clueless dictator with no sound Vice president to put him check.

I must commend your effort so far you are one brilliant propagandist. Who using the tools of propaganda is trying to package an economically clueless dictator as the best thing since slice bread.

Happy new year to you too.

So if he 'tackled' corruption why is there corruption today thirty years later. That is the spine of the article. That things were personalised, superficial and not engrained and institutionalised. The article shows the inadequacies, the limitations of individuals or 'regimes'. And I repeat yet again, the success of democratic leadership lies also in the quality of followership and so far no grouping has come out to admit let alone openly declare that it will renounce corruption so expect the regime to battle on for its four years term chasing up the corrupt and accomplishing little else. (as it happened in 1983-4). Very little else was done.

The question is and remains. Are Nigerians tired of corruption.

CHANGE! Against corruption and bad governance!
Re: Buhari Could Not Solve The Economic Problems His Regime Faced - Britannica by Nobody: 6:08pm On Jan 02, 2015
Dr Fasehun made this known at a media conference in Lagos, where he opined that only a Nigerian with a forgetful mind would vote for Buhari in the next elections.

“The problem of Nigeria is not our politics but the fact that we forget too soon. We feel the pain of our flagellation just at the time we are being floored. Afterwars, we go about as if nothing has happened in our history,” he said.

Corruption still remains a major problem because of inability of most of our leaders to tackle it head on.Corruption would have probably been a thing of the past if succeeding leaders tackled it like Buhari did. Any attempt to discredit Buhari now will fail because Nigerians know better now. Jonathan has failed woefully and Buhari is the alternative to the status quo. Note that I will vote for Buhari not only because he is the alternative to the status quo but because I believe in him as the change agent.

Britannica isn't Wikipedia. Britannica editorial process is very rigorous. Only experts and the editorial team are allowed to publish on their site unlike Wikipedia where every tom, dick and harry can edit it's topics.
