Like I said, it was a few Cushitics who were far from home, they married the local women, and the new group labeled themselves Tutsi, the DNA slowly went away as they were reproducing with non Cushitic people, but still saw themselves as different. Thus the racism and how they looked down on the Hutu.


Its like a few white people going to Nigeria, and after having mixed kids the kids reproduce with each other, but their is no new fresh DNA that is European to replenish so it slowly withers away but the group still has formed an identity and secluded themselves from the Blacks.

Yes, they were massively assimilated into the Bantu population. So much so that only a relatively small percentage of their genetic make-up is still Nilotic. They have become largely Bantu both genetically and linguistically.

Sure, and differences of perception of right and wrong and opinion too. Bantus and Cushites have different temperaments. The major African ethnic groups often find it harder to live with each other than tribes within a group. There are more differences in personality(character specific to ethnicity) and physique within the continent than without.

Am all for acknowledgement of this differences unlike in the case of Rwanda where the government insists the people are one while opportunities and govt appointments are concetrated among one side of the population. This happens all over Africa with the ruling ethnic groups/the presidents ethnicity.

Well the ones I met said they come from Ethiopia, which at that time was probably Abyssinia or Axum and controlled more land than it does now especially since Somalia and Eritrea and Djibouti are now all independent.

There are 2 Clans that trace their ancestry to the middle east and the other 2 clans from Ethiopia. But everyone sees themselves as Somali as all the clans are mixed together but their are still clans. Which is dumb because Somalis dont consider you what your mother is (which is half your DNA) only what the father's clan is.

So now its not the same thing. Because there is actually a history of Somalis and Arabs, there is even an entire group of people in Mogadishu called Reer Xaamar who are mixed with Somalis, but since their fathers were not Somali, they are not considered Somali, while a Somali man can marry an Arab and the child would be considered Somali. Because you are what your father is. But that was long ago, and was in the Quran as the 2 Clans are from the North, where Arabs who came from Arabia settled when escaping persecution from Arabs when Islam came to existence as we know it today.

This is also corroborated by the fact that their was no Somali identity when Islam came into existance as the region which is no Zeila (northern Somalia) was part of Abyssinia. It was a couple hundred years later than a Somali identity tied to Islam emerged and battled Ethiopia with the help of Arabia and took over much of the Ogaden and spread Islam to the Afar and Oromos.

There is small genes of everyone in everyone as all Humans are the same origin. Somalis being homogenous kept their DNA closed off thus the reason why we look very similar, while we look like Ethiopians, you can still tell the small difference if your from the region. While groups that mix with others will have DNA from everyone that they ever came into contact with and reproduced with.

The most important thing to look at is language. When you see a group of people with the same language without any enslavement than it was by intermixing. for example Bantus in Somalia speak Somali, but they are not Cushitic, as they were forced to learn the language after being enslaved for many generations. Same thing with African Americans in america. But the Tutsis speak Bantu meaning they mixed in with the people they came into contact with but still identified themselves as different.

If you look at the map, you will see that linguistics and DNA overlap and tell the same tale.

Not sure. Its not dumb. Am using my phone. But on the provision for attach files(right below the space for post), select choose file then you will see a dialogue box of all your files. Select the file you want, if its a photo or other document. Thats it!

You have to write something on the space for post for NL to publish it. Even if its a full stop.

I havent opened NL on a PC so I don't know if it looks the same.
