Of course I can - and it ended up badly.

I was running things with my family friend and neighbour then. I also had a crush in school, so...that season was my crush bday. I decided to write him a loveletter/bday note.

I wrote it a day to the bday...made this cardboard envelope and put it inside.
Naso God punish me...my lil cousin staying with us, who happened to be playmates with my boyfriend's lil bro, took it to their house...my bf saw it with him and collected it.

You know the rest of the story.
I was in Ss3 then.

Nope. We didn't even break-up. I started arguing it was a bday letter and I just decided to use allotta love words. ...he had this habit of letting things slide - so he just gave it back to me...hahaha

Okay, I wrote my first letter at 14 or thereabouts, so there was still girl who was also around my age then or younger, she always comes to assist her mom at her provision shop, whilst I spend after school hours and weekends at my dad's shop which was few blocks from theirs, we see everyday but never exchanged words. But me gbadu this girl no be small but due to me being shy I never uttered a word to her. The only times we talked was when I go to her mom's shop to buy something. I go there to buy even what I don't need just to see her face and hear her talk lol.

So on this day I summoned up the courage and decided to write her a love letter, attaching some greeting cards, that I want us to be friends, close friends. I went to buy something at their shop, when mumsy wasn't around, then drop the letter. She first hesitated but later collected after some few smooth talking. I was really happy and relieved, that at least the burden has been laid off my heart.

About two days after, I went to the shop again when her mumsy stepped out, after noticing she has been giving me eyes signals, behold she gave me an envelope with a smile, a reply to my letter, the feeling was heavenly. She agreed to be friends and it happens that she had wanted a way to talk to me as well but was equally shy and unsure how to go about it.

But our teenage lovey dovey was short lived as I had to move to Naija few months later, this was happening somewhere in Cameroon where I grew up.
