Chillisauce:
Hubby is an expat. He does it only on barbecue. Medium cooked.

No much ingredients, just black pepper and salt. Not good when it's spicy .
Here is a pic of the one he made on a fete.
It's duck !
smiley

For your steak, make sure it's not well cooked, if not the meat becomes hard to chew.

Meat half cooked is softer and easier to eat. And good juice from the blood kiss cool

Only eat medium cooked steak where the food is controlled. No try am for Nigeria o.
Thank you. Hopefully I don't make concoction steak with all I have in mind grin

Manny4life, waiting....how long do you want me to wait?

Manny4life, waiting....how long do you want me to wait?
I did not know you were waiting on me.

First off,

What type of cut are you cooking?
Is it thick or thin cut?
How do you want it done? Rarely Cooked, Medium or Well Cooked.

I prefer to marinade my steak with light seasoning:

Use whatever type of cooking oil, preferably virgin olive oil, ( I use canola oi)
Fresh ground black pepper,
Seasoned salt, a dash of steak seasoning, use a brine needle injector to make tiny holes and inject seasoning on the cut (for REALLY THICK CUTS ONLY).

Mix all these together and generously rub on it..

Wrap up in aluminum foil (air tight) , and let it sit for about 30 mins. This allows the seasoning to react with the whatever on the meat and seasoning can do its work. grin

While it sits, prepare your grill (I don't know if this is gas, over or charcoal). Coal is the best. DO NOT place a stake on a cold grill, it has to be hot and ready when you cook.

Depending on the type, thick or thin, and how you want it, cook on each side between 7-15 mins, depending how you want it. Beware of cold steaks... DO NOT COOK FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. STEAKS ARE COOKED WITH A MEDIUM TO HIGH TEMP FOR A SHORT PERIOD.

After cooking, let it sit for another minute before serving with sauce.

Very nice, tnks for sharing your recipe. I noticed you didn't use or list any form of seasoning(maggi, knorr etc) just salt. Was this on purpose?

Just wash it twice, then add to it.

You will never use any other vegetable.
Trust me.

I added okazi because I didn't have enough scent leaf

I think I will do that too when the weather is Warmer. The cold ehn! You can't even touch the soil.
It depends on where one is.

I just traveled to Florida to spend some time with my aunt there and she has bitter leaf, scent leaf et al flourishing in her backyard because of enough sun and good weather enough for others to come pluck too.I'm so jealous.
