Are these things not already being tried? What is his plan for oil theft in the Niger delta? |
| Re: General Buhari's Plan To Secure Nigeria by EndtimeBlessing: 1:50pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
Leadership is all about influence. I think part of the reason why Jonathan has failed on security is because he lacks the power of influence on the military. Does Buhari has it? May 29th onward will be a good time to judge, if he wins. |

Seun:The whole talk is a cliche. Devoid of new ideas Number 6 contradicts all he has said. He is more interested in relocating the major airforce base to Kano when there are already mobility commands in Maiduguri. Typical oligarch mentality. |
| Re: General Buhari's Plan To Secure Nigeria by ApexTitan(m): 1:52pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
Truckpusher:Its not balderdash, the things he said are already being done but no noticeable change has resulted. In other words his security plans are not new, it's the same as GEJ's. |
| Re: General Buhari's Plan To Secure Nigeria by Nobody: 1:54pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
GEJ lacks attributes of a leader, from his dumb looks to his clueles utterances, its just a shame how we wasted six good years with little development to show for it. GMB Is not a saint but he's way better |

I can't belief Nigerians still rely on promises from politicians. They lie a lot just to get their way to the office and once they get there, they forget about all their sweet talks. Don't just exchange ur vote for promises. Vote wisely. |

nwanna89:. What gullible Nigerians don't understand is that Buhari is saying only the military or ex-military can rule 9ja. They planted saboteurs within the soldiers fighting Boko to undermine govt efforts. He will call his boys to order, pay them hundreds of million of dollars behind our back. And all will hail. But he might be in for a surprise, like Frankenstein's monster, he might not be able to control his boys anymore. They are now allied to Al Qaeda & others. The group funded to create insecurity for political reasons may have grown massive wings. If he wins o, and he manages to magic out a certificate. ![]() |

Let's set the records straight. There is notin new in all GMB has said. It is important that we r objective in presenting our views and we should always have our facts before we come here and say whatsnot. The Nigerian military is better equiped than it has ever been in the last 30 years. A lot of T-72 tanks have been ordered and are now being used in the fight against insurgents. Some fighter jets were also imported from pakistan. Despite the difficulty in getting ammunitions from conventional sources. The govt has been trying its best. We should also know that there was a multinatiional force stationed in baga comprising Nigeria, Niger and I think cameroun but these countries pulled out suddenly without informig Nigeria. Thus, the Nigerian military was overwhelmed. What we should all know is that the current war against insurgents is not a conventional warfare and boko haram is not a conventional army. They don't really have a defined territory. They show up, cause mayhem and mostly disappear. No country in the world, even the developed ones with all the advancements i technology have been able to fight terrorists in their domain. France was attacked twice in a week and the french authorities couldn't stop the second one from happening. Our military men needs our support. They are humans like us not robots. And we should all avoid dragging them into politics. Day and night, they r at the checkpoints and other dangerous hot spots while we are in the comfort of our homes. Let's support our military! |

JOKE OF THE DAY!!! Buhari cannot remember his current phone number. Buhari cannot remember his running mates name. BUT Buhari remembers his exam number from 54years back Isn't this an awesome miracle? |

b1327:I weeeee go for the PHD graduate because he is more educated and more sound to put the nation in better state that a self acclaimed honest yet to be found certificate holder who claims to be able to end corruption while he eats from the tables of corrupt men!! |
| Re: General Buhari's Plan To Secure Nigeria by Nobody: 2:02pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
Splashme:Nope! What he is doing is creating committees of stark illiterates to tackle Boko Haram, destroying its relationship with our neighbouring countries, decreasing the military morales with the provision of outdated weapons and poor basic survival needs. All these plus the fact that no one in his cabinet takes him serious. |
| Re: General Buhari's Plan To Secure Nigeria by PassingShot(m): 2:03pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
Is it now save to say that Seun is now a progressive? You're welcome brother. @ OP, It has been said many times that Buhari was ahead of his time hence he was not allowed to stay long in power. Fortunately for us we still have another opportunity to give him the chance to lead us out of our many problems. I listened to that interview live and I was impressed. now reading it as you've laid it out makes me more impressed in the General. |

JackBaueress1:We all understand, all he needs to do is talk to his boys asking them to calm down just as the militant is calm now after GEJ became president. |
| Re: General Buhari's Plan To Secure Nigeria by stanisbaratheon: 2:04pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
JackBaueress1:So Buhari had such plans concealed in his archive. If he's truly a patriotic citizen why didn't he give those ideas on how to curtail the insurgency to the government. Or is he one power-hungry Northerner that want to get into power?? |
| Re: General Buhari's Plan To Secure Nigeria by vodkat: 2:04pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
JackBaueress1:In a country that has sense Buhari would be an external advisor to the army. Not president Is Nigeria looking for military president? Remember b4 it was Niger delta militants. That made Shell to sell all their onshore assets. Boko Haram is making Nigeria look like planet of the monkeys |

i don't want to read the above statements but i want to let Nigerians know especially the Northerners that Power will Remain in south south or south west till 2019 because what in time of Yaradua will repeat itself if Mr Buhari eventually became voted in. But unfortunate, Mr Buhari is not going to taste President in dis generation. Hit like if u blv me! |

danielmichael:You mean Buhari should collaborate with the highest paid President in Africa? Excuse me, Mr. Goodluck Jonathan is being paid for his job as Nigeria's President. If he has no ideas on how to manage Nigeria, he should step-down. That's what real managers do... |
