Voting Criteria Opener-teddybiyasi..-'m really proud of teddy here..very intelligent opener. Rhymes-i'll slightly give this to darkrebel.rhymes in this battle weren't that good..but rebel got this! Similes/ Metaphor-darkrebel Punchlines-teddybiyasi!!! Personals-teddiyasi slightly won this cos she had some traces of personal in her verse but dark ignored it totally. Flow-tie Wordplay-teddybiyasi Closer-darkrebel MVGT-TEDDYBIYASI!!! |

opener rebel got off nice with the first bar then switched his rhyme scheme & ruined his own set up - it weakened the effect of his punchline. teddy stood consistent throughout with a simpler concept and delivered a devastating punch with the "nobody" angle. when you deactivate, you become a nobody. teddy got this criteria for me. rhymes darkrebel packed enough multis in his verse. many people might say he overstretched some of them but rhyming is rhyming. teddy also did well in this category but rebel got this in quantity & quality. similes/metaphor skull rolled on dice like ludo, the oduduwa bar was dope too. hanging her on a vehicle like the L plate woulda been a dopë line if it had been worded properly, the MKO bar was average, herbert macaulay was good......ojuju bar was wack, the APC bar wasn't direct enough. teddy came swinging - but he was low in quantity. he only had the quality caveman & miner bar which was better than anything darkrebel spat in his entire script but i would still give this category to the rebel based on quantity. punchlines teddy got this decisively - no debating. her punches were dopė all through. they were not predictable at all. i got myself giving her 10/10 in virtually all the haymakers she landed. darkrebel had a minor flaw in that his set-ups didn't really connect with the final punch. he was telling 2 different stories in each quatrain and that weakened his final punch. teddy was cuter in her verbiage & her bars were far wittier and deadlier. personals teddy won this ish decisively too. rebel didn't even pay any attention to this bit. rebel should have done some research - if you are going to ignore personals then you should have come with the A-game in all other categories. teddy had the advantage of knowing few things about rebel & she used it to a maximum effect. flow this will go down as a TIE. both cats had their moments in this category. part of me even thinks this category should be scrapped completely. 2 quality battlers would always tie in flow. wordplay teddy got this - shoot at this queer bar got me spinning. the "win free" bar was also nice as fùck! rebel failed to match teddy's creativity and quality in this criterion. closer darkrebel had a good concept but he worded it wrongly. MKO didn't go down on june 12. actually, he won by a landslide on june 12. he died in the month of july 1998 so this bar was ruined by factual inaccuracy. teddy didn't really punch well either but she brought the exorcism angle of darkrebel's 666 number. she punned the TB acronym - TB joshua(synagogue) = teddybiyasi and for me, that creativity edged it slightly to her. hmmmm Coogar ..I know he died in July .but June 12 is more popular.. he won the election but was denied victory ..and since June 12 is more popular, I decided to use it.. you don't know how many times I corrected that bar.. I used July first, them switched again to June ..  anyway .. I accept ... I think Teddy has won this .. we would rematch later ... sigh* |

there's nothing wrong in experimenting but biko, it has to work. if you take great risks and you succeed, you become an instant hero. if you don't succeed with it, then it could make one look very clueless.
it weakened the punch - especially when teddy was consistent with her own rhyme scheme. her script would make yours look weaker when you compare. this is why you cannot take such a huge risk anyhow. |

@darkrebel666 Coogar is right in everything he said though..but I gave you that closer cos I understood where you were going at and it was the only punch in your verse which connected well with the build up...majority of your build ups didn't connect well with the build ups but teddy had some clean build ups to every punches.you know a good build up can make a light punch seem devastating.and build ups well put will explain the punch before it lands..e.g one of my old lines.. Your friends,sure could step up/saying if you fall,just get up/dont show signs of a lull or let up/ But like chealse loosing guardiola . . He'll lose this battle . After all the 'pep-talk'/ Btw,the MKO bar coulda looked more generic to me if you talked about losing election cos I've played it in my battle with mikuz and it was the closer sef..plus teddy's "running mate" pun is generic too.nice one both of you! |
